  1. Well no the effect isn't just the horse getting damaged its also the unmounted player getting either a huge bruise or hole injury (if using just the horse or a spear). Now the mount could be damaged yes but thats not what the main idea is. If you mean the unmounted player could be impaled by the rider then yes if he is unarmored and the rider is lucky.
  2. Hi there! I recently used my brain and had an idea. I thought of calvary charges and an effective way to implement them. A mounted player can run for 10-20 tiles and run into an enemy either on the same tile or within a square around the mount. The mount can be damaged through the charge. Damage to the mount can be reduced with a barding and damage to the unmounted player can reduced with a shield or spear facing the player. Damage to the mount can be increased if the unmounted player has a spear and faces the charging mount (or if the player targets the rider the rider would suffer damage from the spear rather than the mount but the charge itself would damage the mount). Damage to the unmounted player can be increased if the mounted player has a weapon and especially a spear or others in its family. Of course this would suck if you were running through town and accidentally ran over your best friend, mayor, or cow so the charge would only affect those from enemy kingdoms, aggressive animals, or players and animals you are targeting.
  3. I'm gonna use a cow for a mount does that work?
  4. Thanks for the help though everyone sorry if I seemed rude just annoyed because I lost a bunch of fs running from a hell hound
  5. ok fine I'll go get good armor and weapons
  6. Why shouldn't fs grinding be encouraged?
  7. Sooo no one thinks the fight skill should be changed?
  8. Yeah I know I already trained to 20 fighting on the doll. But I mean I just don't think fighting should be the only skill that gain skill by killing something instead of the actual act of fighting. And its really a hamper on people trying to go PvP or just going into the forest to find something. I'm not saying I want it to stop being a survival game I love that part but I just find the fight skill a little ridiculous in that I can't just treat it like a normal skill. Yeah there is the practice doll but at 20 fs I could barely kill a bull. And its very disheartening for players that want to become fighters to have to spend such a long time gaining skill in the wilderness only to be killed by just about everything. Especially when the process to just get ready to train fs is so complicated and long. I mean I can make some good leather armor in a day or two but doing that entire list of things would take a week or two.
  9. Hard when you just premed
  10. Can something be done with the fighting skill of all the skills I've trained fighting is the only thing giving me trouble. Can you gain it just by fighting like how normal, defensive, and aggressive fighting are raised? I mean all the other skills are raised just like that. And I'm tired of walking in the wilderness looking for something to fight and getting killed by a hell hound and possibly losing my fighting experience (which just happened ). It is the most important skill in PvP and even in PvE it is pretty darn important.
  11. Hi I just wanted to know what exactly is seryll? I know its a metal (I think) but I can't find it on the wiki. Thank you.
  12. Hi. What's the purpose of spears I heard that they have an increase in damage towards people riding mounts. Is that true? And what is the best all around weapon for PVP? Thank you
  13. Hey i wanted to know whats the purple square to the north western side of the Chaos map? And is that area inhabited alot? Not new to Wurm but new to the thought of pvp and thinking of traveling there for real estate
