  1. Dust storm settled down. Move on please, nothing to see here. Thorin
  2. May be a better idea to check Niarja for those names Would be a lot faster to check for the deed names and if they're still deeds as going over countless twitter info's Thorin
  3. Just out of curiousity, how do you update a rooster? Is that by giving it new feathers? Or are you talking about a roster? Thorin
  4. Can I bring a brontosaurus, Ekib? Thorin
  5. That's the entire point. When you want to have an overlook of the map, you don't want to zoom in to max to see what starter town is there becaus you don't see the name. With the new map, I'm able to read deed names when the map is zoomed in to a 4x8 grid wide screen. I'm able to read the name of the starter town the moment I'm zoomed in to max, meaning that a 1x1 grid isn't even visible on that same map. At the old map I was able to read the names of the starter towns the moment I entered it as can be shown here: All I'm asking for is to have that back, as it would navigating for all of us a lot easier. Unless you're the kind of person who have a map 3 inches away from his face when driving?? Thorin
  6. If you are "just" pointing to the market, could you at least remove the word "Highway" from it and replace that sign by a POINTING sign? That way it would be clear to everyone who walks / rides there what the purpose of the sign is and we all would be happy. Because I only recently discovered that sign when improving the highway build by Mortommes and others between Whitefay and Greymead, then went off line for a while due to circumstances and was basically reminded about it because of this thread. It would've been nice if you had contacted Keyos, Dredbanger or me before placing it, but I won't go there as you most likely have some reason for it not happening. And I'm pretty sure what reason that is. If you just replace that sign for a pointing sign, meant to point at your market, then I won't complain anymore. Thorin
  7. Something else I noticed - no, I'm not nagging, am I? - All the starter towns are still having their blue square, but are missing their names at the "new" map. Could that be fixed please? Thorin
  8. Not drama for the sake of everyone's entertainment. More like a lot of (Xanadu) players wondering why ONE player is acting as if Xan is his private server, where he can claim all the work other's have done - and there's evidence posted of that - where he can change things without asking anyone in the area near it and when being confronted with it, acting like a spoiled brat with comments like: "if you don't like it, deed it or leave it". It's even the more surprising that there are players who defend this player, while at the same time they got upset when a n00b cuts down that one maple tree 25 tiles from their deed. Or digs some dirt next to a road. Given the difference that this particular player knows about those things and WILLINGLY ignores wishes, while a n00b doesn't it is even more surprising to see how he got defended. As for renaming things he didn't build: That's how he named it; while the orrignal name can be found here: Care to explain that, Sila? Or are you telling me I'm bullshitting, just like you told others? I'm kindly requesting you to either change that name to Emerald Way or Emerald Highway, as that's the name Dredbanger, Aton, Keyos and I decided it to be after we dropped down that last brick to complete it. Or be kind enough to remove that sign and ask me to drop the sign with the right name at the exit of Whitefay. And while at it, could you also explain why YOU were able to plant a sign inside a starter town, while other players can't? Thorin ?
  9. Did I just see someone shoot his own foot using a cannon? Thorin
  10. Cecci, that's the link to the map I was able to load after quite some problems at the laptop. To do that, I had to remove all cookies, as it only showed a blue screen when I tried to open the map. And not just once, but even after refreshing it several times. After removing cookies, the link from the first post wasn't working anymore. What I find confusing, is that we got 2 map links, neither one works as intended; as you should be able to open either one without removing cookies; that the link in the first post is still pointing towards the old map - which some players can't open anymore - and that this entire change apparently has been done without properly informing the community. I for one have been appointing several new players to the "old" map; without even knowing that one was barely accessable anymore. As said in the previous post, I had to spend over half an hour using all kinds of tricks to get the "new" map to open. Also the fact that you need to refresh a page a few times before you can actually open it, isn't good. And yes, I'm aware there have been three people responsible for keeping the map up to date. That may as well be the reasons for the problems. Thorin
  11. As they say, three times is a charm, so let's hope we got answers now as this is the third time I post these questions. Anyone willing to place their bets? @MordosKullThe issue isn't that Sila and his croonies are changing everything; the issue is that he does that without asking anyone around; and when he's confronted with that as Ostentatio did in the very first post of this topic, Sila comes up with all kinds of excuses, lies, false accusations and other sorts of ######, simply to avoid the questions asked. I asked the questions I quoted yesterday, and didn't get an answer. I asked them again and didn't get an answer. I'm asking them for the third time now and I'm pretty sure I won't get an answer again. Just like Ostentatio and many on Newspring didn't get an answer, just like everyone living near startertowns or made connections to startertowns weren't informed about changes made to their labour. I won't say here what I think of Sila's behaviour, but something like 3rd world banana republic dictator comes to mind. Thorin
  12. Still can't load the new map on the PC. The link takes me to the "home page" then, when clicking at the green box for the map and selecting "xanadu", just a blue page. I had that same problem at the laptop and the only way to get it working was by deleting all cookies. Thorin
  13. That's not what I asked, so I'll repeat it again: And I will repeat it, until I and anyone else get a clear answer from you. Because your reply is exactly one of the things others keep saying over and over again. The moment something is asked and you don't like it, you start about something else. So, do we get an answer at my questions or do I have to start bumping this thread by posting these two quotes every time you avoid answering it? Thorin
  14. It's funny to see that the mayor concern of so many players is ignored over and over again. So I'll ask it right here and now: Sila, why do you ignore the wishes of and refuse to talk to the other players near your deeds? Why is it, that every time someone asks you to COMMUNICATE, you ignore that and you start about something else? Care to explain that? Thorin
  15. I'm not exactly certain about what went wrong, but when logging in at my laptop earlier today, I wasn't able to load the map. Took me quite some effort to find out that to open the map, I need to use the link of wurmonlinemaps.com/xanadu but that the link won't work until you delete all cookies of the link provided in the first post of this topic. Which is still able to open up the 2016, 2017 and 2018 dumps. Moreover, I am able to load up the old map from the PC, but not from the laptop; while I'm able to open up the new map from the laptop (after clearing all cookies) and not from the PC. Could someone please look into this, as right now it's either a choice of using an outdated map, or one which is pretty hard to get to. Edit: It would've been nice if we at least were informed about the map being moved to another location / link. Thorin
  16. AFAIK it's been known as "Horse lake" as that island resembled that somewhat. I don't see any use of changing that name now. Thorin
  17. I wonder who's bullying and telling lies here as I seem to remember how a certain person wrecked up the highway from Whitefay to my alliance's deeds; without asking anyone who build that highway if it was ok to change things. When confronted with that, the answer was: "we got GM permission for that", while after contacting some GM's we were told that you were tol that you had to contact the builders of the highway to inform them about it. Something you never did. You've also changed the name of the highway (yes, I WILL provide a screenshot of that) without contacting the builders; as if you build it yourself. I can go on with this list, but I'm not in the mood for it. Just don't act as if you ppl are the saints of the server, coz you aren't. It's a bit strange that players are going nuts when a new (and probably unknowing) player messes up an area near their deed; but the moment a veteran player does the same, they're actually being defended!! In my - humble - opinion, if someone wants to change a part of the PUBLIC environment of a server, be at least polite enough to ask in public if anyone opposes it. You'll find out that when doing that, quite often players won't protest or even come up with idea's to improve the situation. This hasn't happened in this occasion and the moment that's brought up in public, one side becomes quite hostile. Makes me wonder what would've happened if a certain CA living at Newspring had created this topic........ @Ostentatio: I don't always agree with how you post things, however in this matter you got my deepest respect for the polite aproache and the patience you showed in this topic. IMHO it isn't your fault things didn't work out the way you hoped for. Thorin
  18. It certainly was a fun event and I've enjoyed it a lot. Although I didn't have much time to take screenshots, I was able to capture two nevertheless. One showing the dragon slaying achievement, something which - I don't doubt - several of us got for the first time. I think the other one is more fun, as it shows how many times you need to slap a dragon, before it's dead. After it got killed, two of the players decided to volunteer for the 2nd part of this event, called "Search the body". Luttuosa and Alkhadias eventually managed to find those two bodies, although I'm not sure what they actually won; other than the eternal gratefulness of the char's owners. Still, it was a good day all in all and I certainly hope we'll have more like these events in the future. Thorin
  19. Whenever possible, I'm going to be there. With Kindra in tow, most likely. Thorin
  20. Just checked with another char: Double items are shown. When taking the fresh spices / herbs out of the FSB into inventory, it shows as Fresh herb / spice again. (Taken mint here) However, the moment those items are dropped in the FSB again, they become part of the stack.......... Thorin ?
  21. All spices / herbs fresh picked from planters, remain fresh spices / herbs, even after they're stored in (small) crates or FSB's. This has been experienced by both myself and another player I asked to test it. Shows as normal spice, but not stacking with ones taken from a FSB Same stack after taking it out of the crate again. Thorin
  22. *starts looking for a marker and finds none* ?? This time I may actually be there. Will travel tomorrow. Got to scratch that. Other things came up. Thorin
  23. Planning to come over with two characters later this weekend. Thorin is able to do CAS, BS and Carp and to a lesser content WS and FC; so he can jump in at several smithing spots when needed. Frodo is able to do LW. Thorin
