  2. I may consider reverting this change, but at the same time the 1g sip was a bit too good. It should be about 20g now for a decent timer, but an issue has been reported with power decaying which wasn't intended.
  3. I've created a thread for caffeine feedback here: As it states in the thread, we'll be posting details of what we have planned once they are finalized. I'd appreciate thoughts (like the water bar issue) to be included in that thread so we can adjust our plans accordingly and provide what I hope to be a better solution.
  4. We're working on reworking caffeine, and would like some feedback on the system as it stands now. I'll be reserving this space to post our rework details once they are finalized.   5. The main thing is the purpose we intended for caffeine to have: A means for casual players to get a bit of an edge. Sleep bonus was intended to be this until it became readily available in the form of sleep powders. It wasn't intended to be the new meta for grinding high skills, though I saw that being inevitable. The changes we have on the table will bring caffeine more in line with the original intention, though it will still be something a heavy skill grinder can use when it's available. We honestly didn't intend on people puking to keep drinking it.
  6. We're looking at caffeine this month. I know it was just released, but having spent a great deal of time with it myself, it doesn't have the right feeling to me. So we'll be adjusting it. More details to come.
  7. So it happens on both the new and old clients? I'll try to head over to your location and see what happens to my client. As I recall, we've used that specific deed for stress testing in the past.
  8. I think a review of the goal would be a better use of our time. I'm not sure if we have a full list of names easily at that point, but I do know that it's fairly easy to modify a journal goal. The main concern I have with modifying this one is that it needs to be replaced with something appropriate, not removed entirely. There are probably suggestions out there that I haven't seen yet, maybe even in this thread as I only took a scan through and noted Elentari's plea to have it removed. I also don't want this thread turning into a feature discussion, but I feel one is needed for this, so be on the watch for that. I'm going to talk to the rest of the dev team on this before making a post.

  11. Working on a fix for this and some other issues relating to me messing with the client the new forge/oven/still effects. Light given off is way too bright at high QL No flicker of light as before No sound Effects not always removed Extra corona/glow around fire. It'll likely be out next week as I don't think I can complete the work before Thursday. I basically tried being clever, and the result wasn't what I wanted. It also didn't help that I tested with music going in my headphones!
  12. Halloween 2021

    This year the new masks are kill-only, whereas the pumpkin terror statue is archaeology-only. I didn't want to dilute the loot pool for archaeology with a lot of different things, seeing as each item would reduce the chance of gathering enough fragments to complete a whole one within a reasonable amount of time.

  15. Hello all! So it’s been a bumpy ride since the 28th, and due to the downtime, we will be extending the skill gain and affinity bonuses until 11:59 pm server time on Friday, November 5th. The Halloween event will also be ending at the same time. I’d also like to talk about the situation with bugs and our QA process as I understand how frustrating it is for you all to have to endure hotfixes, or often worse, the bugs they fix as well as the ones that don’t get fixed immediately. First off, I’d like to welcome Radia to the team as a QA engineer. They join Daciana, who has graciously helped with testing in the past along with her other duties. Led by Willow, this QA team will help to prevent bugs from going out and to address the bugs that are reported by you all. Please keep reporting them on the forums as it makes it easier for us to reference back to the post. We are also making changes internally to support our QA team and to reduce bugs. This includes a longer lead time for testing, more code-level tests, and dedicated time each month for fixing bugs that already exist. We will monitor the effectiveness of these changes and make adjustments as needed. Thank you all for your patience. Happy Wurming!
