  1. Noevi's Vegan Steakhouse can be added at https://pristine.yaga.host/#1829,1777
  2. The technical aspect is to re-use the existing technology that allows server travel. The whole reason to put it on a separate server is to allow the developers freedom to experiment with it without worrying about disrupting players day-to-day settlements. The portal to the moons/planet is just a lore pitch, that's why I put Disneyland as the last option to indicate that the exact location or details are not important, it's the concept of giving them a playground to implement more content without as much concern for player settlements.
  3. This has nothing to do with creating a shared zone for SFI and NFI. The suggestion is to add more challenging PvE content while avoiding to disrupt the normal servers, one way or another. Just have one version of this "hunting server" for each cluster? I'm also not sure how epic has anything to do with this. Why did we even add rifts to the game when people could just go to epic? That's what it reads like to me.
  4. The rewards are just suggestions, it can also be used as a playground to solve some things like lack of tomes, but these kinds of details are so optional they are barely worth mentioning. The core is "Do you want to have some kind of combat challenge in the game".
  5. Right, I agree. That's why the suggestion is to not do that. The point is to have a place to travel where these things can be implemented as to not disturb the deeds/landscapes that exist.
  6. One thing that always strikes after I've been back for a few months playing the game is the lack of challenge present outside of things just taking a long time to do. After a long day of smithing and picking flowers, I feel like bashing some skulls and putting my character to the test. It would be super fun to have some more challenging opt-in content for the PvE part of the game. Once you get your skills and equipment up a bit, there's not really much of a threat outside of rifts and uniques. The rift camps are nice but they are few and far between, and the rewards are basically non-existing. Some of the issues with adding more combat oriented challenging content include: Spawning things in the world can disturb and upset the landscape/deeds of people nearby. The map isn't really divided into difficulty zones, meaning it can be too punishing for new players. General resistance to changing the game world from how it exists today. The suggestion is to instead spawn some form of portal to a more challenging server. The details of this is not important, what follows is just some vague ideas. The core of the suggestion is to introduce a zone that can be used as a foundation to do more "wild" things PvE wise, in order to avoid problems caused by adding crazy things spawning on the regular servers. If you rather travel there by boat that's fine. As an example, which is an amalgamation of things I've heard from others as well as my own take: A small 3x3 area spawning that contains a temporary portal to Jackal/Seris/Valrei/Disneyland. No deeds (or have deeds, it doesn't really matter). Rift Camps / Monster Fortifications randomly spawning, with treasure chests unlocked upon clearing the camp. (No need to worry about player constructions \o/) Landscape altering events like earthquakes, volcanos etc could be possible due to not worrying about player constructions. Even wipe the whole server every 2 weeeks to keep it somewhat clean. Stronger enemies. (Rift Jackals, Deathcrawlers, Ogres, whatever else as long as it's stronger than a troll/hell scorp). A primary reason for this suggestion is to give a reason for grinding skills and improving your character. Even uniques could spawn here, as a more public and chaotic option. Rewarding, rewards oriented around somewhat established (2-6 months+) counterbalanced by added risk. Some Examples Better fighting skill gain through fighting more difficult enemies. Material rewards through drops/chests. Moon Metals Tome Fragments Bloods Cosmetics/Trophies Source Crystals, Star Gems etc Alternative Source for Rift Points? Or just give out coal zinc lumps if you're concerned about economy. Just give me something stronger to whack with my sword. This could serve as a great reason for some weaker characters to band together and spice things up for a chance at better rewards. We're all dressed up and nowhere to go, some content that is challenging to accounts that are 6 months old or older would be super fun, in particular that is more accessible on demand than rifts or uniques.
  7. I'll just add my short summary advice I tend to give. Prefer quality over expensive materials. I strongly advise sticking to iron. You'll need to get your weapon imped a lot if you do much hunting, especially as a new player with low repair skill. Stick to iron and keep it 80QL+, though I generally think 90QL is a good point to aim for. Silver imps can be nearly twice the cost, and 10% of low damage is just a tiny increase. Weapon skill is largely based on damage done, and hitting the mob in the first place. At high skills there's some merit to dropping the QL a bit. Pick a weapon you like, for more "optimal": 2 Handed: Staff, Huge Axe, Halberd are "up there", but honestly for PvE you're not really going to notice slightly lower damage. 1H + Shield, Longsword and medium maul are good starters, sickle does more damage but has a CR penalty which doesn't seem great for new players. Prioritize A good weapon with enchants. A Basic 90QL, 90+ Casts is going to run you around 5-6s, and will make a huge difference. LT is a massive help when starting, so is Nimbleness and CoC. Mind Stealer can be skipped if low on money. For armor: Studded has slightly lower defences against some/most damage types, but is faster movement and close enough. Chain is slightly more defensive, but is noticeably slower in movement. Low QL Chain is bad. Plate is high defences, very slow movement speed. I like to call low ql plate a casket, it'll trap you in place while also not defending you enough to surive. Get it decent QL or use Studded. As an Example, 40QL Plate provides only 48% base reduction, while slowing you just as much as 90QL plate, which would provide 69% reduction. Shoot for 70QL Minimum. Always fight on a mount in the beginning. As long as you're mounted dying should mainly happen due to disconnecting or being afk, run away before you hit ~40% health, heal up with your LT weapon on some sheep/horses/cows etc or use cotton to bandage. Once you've got the basics, some 70fs and an enchanted weapon with some basic skill in it, combat is mostly trivial outside of rifts and uniques, so don't stress too much over weapon types and damage numbers.
  8. The wiki already states this, in that rarity roll is done as normal and its still consumed on a rare roll, though perhaps it could be reworded to make it easier to understand.
  9. To the best of my knowledge unequip and then right click it. It's a pretty hefty investment for what it does, a kind of sugar on top situation. It drains every time you get a skill tick for that skill, so not really time based. Ideally use it when you have maximized everything else and have as slow timers as makes sense. I only used my WS one during hours I had coffee for instance, to try and squeeze a bit more out of it.
  10. 100% Agree. Losing fight skill and gear is enough, no reason for newer chars to just go donate affinities in pvp.
  11. This was correct by the way, thank you.
  12. Auction over and the item will be sent to private bidder.
  13. Bump. Also WS Sale over grinding goal reached. Thanks to everyone who placed orders
  14. Little bump for this. I want to bring my hellhorse to rifts.
  15. Less is more sometimes. Even though nobody is standing around with a whip forcing people to pick up every bonus possible, in general many people tend to want to get "the most out of their time". If you're going to stand there imping a knife for over 40 hours, you probably want all the bonuses you can get. When there's too many bonuses it turns into feeling like you're wasting time spent that you could have gotten more out of. 5% more exp over 40 hours is 2 hours of just extra time you didn't get. I know I've sometimes just ran around in circles for a bit on my deed and then logged off cause I could not be bothered to make yet another affinity food for a skill I wanted to raise a bit. That's a barrier of entry to getting started doing something you want to do, when you add too many of them it causes fatigue, leading to people dropping off eventually. Instead of having a myriad of different things all tied to skillgain, perhaps we could have different things providing bonuses to various activities, instead of adding to the list of things to stack for grinding. Personally I'd like there to be less xp buffs and bake them into baseline instead, make food give buffs like a few % extra quality imped or a slight buff to rare windows etc. As for the washing bowl, it could be useful for removing/reducing diseases in sermon groups. Clean hands giving a resistance to disease for a bit etc.
  16. I find it hard to believe that everyone riding around with half broken backs staring off into the distance like broken mannequins is an intended feature.
  17. Yep, it does appear to work fine while not on a horse/cart though. And more correctly it seems to completely stop updating the player looking direction once you get in a vehicle in third person, whatever you had when you got in, is what you'll have until you go first person or get off the cart/horse.
  18. As many already know, facing direction is not synced in third person while on a cart, horse wagon or the like. This is not merely a cosmetic issue as it breaks combat in particular using shields in third person, forcing us to use first person for fighting with a shield. This would be a huge QoL if we could get it fixed. This can be easily tested by facing one direction on a horse in first person, go into third person, face 180 degrees in the other direction and fight a monster, you will not block. It also makes players in third person look silly looking in random directions while riding around. Which can be tested with two characters and going in/out of third person and then turning around.
  19. Add Caer Baer Please Pristine (yaga.host)
  20. Auctioning this nice pickaxe. I may not be around exactly when the auction finishes but I will go through the timestamps and verify the bids. Private bids are accepted but not encouraged during sniper protection. If you don't have a forum account, you can DM me in game to place a private bid for you. [05:14:10] Wind of Ages has been cast on it, so it will be quicker to use. [100] [05:14:10] A bronze rune of Libila has been attached, so it will gather resources at a higher quality level (10%) [05:14:10] Circle of Cunning has been cast on it, so it will increase skill gained with it when used. [101] Starting bid: 50 silver Increment (minimum): 1 s Reserve: No Buyout: 1g Sniper Protection: 1 hour Private Bids: Accepted
  21. I'd be happy with that change as well but I'd like it if we could try to keep this one as close to "change a single number" as possible. Since I'd really like to build a well instead of a fountain, right now.
  22. That's typically how you end up using them though, wanting to fill a huge oil barrel, or at least a large barrel to distribute water to other locations on deed.
