    I guess I make a lot of fencing for animal breeding, and I love the hedge look.   Also, I like to use camellias for the medium fence you don't have to maintain.  Finding large fields of camellias is hard and making a field big enough to be worth it is harder.  (I have made some small fields.)  In one large wild field I'll collect maybe 200 a visit and that's never enough to do all the fencing I need to do.  I also move deeds every so often so need to repeat the process, so I guess that's why it has become such a big issue for me.  

     

    I've also played on the WU server Sklotopolis where they give 5 sprouts every time you pick a sprout, which I love.  But I'd even be happy with two or three more, each time.  I just don't really see a downside to giving a few more sprouts. (Based on skill of course.)  People could get more creative with hedges and tree planting.  The only downside I could think of is crazy hedges all over undeeded land...but then, they are so easy to get rid of, so...

     

    Another idea I'd be cool with is if a couple of other bush types could be used to make medium fencing. :)

    A simpler solution would be to give a discount on the number of sprouts needed based on gardening skill.

     

    I'd be totally cool with this idea too...Or something similar.  But how do you see it getting out of hand?  Also, why do you have 5000 maple sprouts?  You don't need to collect them.  You can prune instead. xP

    Ahh yes, that's probably why the images are not showing.  I need to start an imgur account.  But hopefully you can still get an idea of it.

    Yeah, I was going between land deed and the isle and finding it a pain, that's why I finally decided to let my beautiful isle go.  Let someone else enjoy it.


  3. Ah, yes!  I realized I'd forgotten the mines. :)

    I am not a big miner myself, but I found gold, silver, zinc, a few veins of iron, and sandstone and rocksalt, of course.  

     

    I just opened up the previous tunnels someone had dug before me (unreinforced single tile tunnels), but some could have collapsed by now.  I'm afraid the isle has become neglected since I spend most of my time on the mainland at my other deed now.  That is why I would love to sell it to someone who would love it as much as I have.

I disagree, since they are hard to spot in the first place.  Especially if you are going along fast.  But I'm on Xanadu where there is a lot of land to cover, so maybe it would be more of an issue on the smaller servers.  Anyway, it's more a lesser of evils sort of thing.  I still think it's better than the currant system.  I mean, how many fountains have you found lately?  Wouldn't even a slight increase be worth something?  There could be better options, and I'd love to hear them.  This was all I could come up with! :)

    For sure!  Good point, but people will always find a reason to complain or a way to take advantage.  However, random spawns still seem a lot better than how it is now.  And more fun!   I think there would be the possibility of coming across one, regardless the speed of your mount. :)


  7. I'd love to see how source springs work to change.  I'm so sick of running into "mysterious" windowless, one-tile huts when out wandering the woods.  Named things like "hunting lodge" or haha, "Lindon tree"...yeah right. xD

     

    Fencing in source water shouldn't be possible.  And you shouldn't be able to deed over them.  I think it would be a lot more fun if they appeared randomly every season or Wurm year.  Full of source and can only be emptied once.  It would make going out and exploring the woods a lot more exciting to know you might find one of these untouched.

     

    I want this even though it would mean that the three springs I use would be gone (none of them are penned in).

It seems like ever since the most recent update my whole computer occasionally becomes unresponsive as Wurm is loading.  This happens before all of the assets in the game window have finished loading. I can still move my mouse but I can't otherwise interact with my computer.  Everything is unresponsive and I have to force restart my computer. I have had to do this several times today.  But if I can get past the initial loading of the game, then it runs just fine.  Reinstalling Java didn't help.

    Runwalking was my first blood-bay who had both speed traits and the unfortunate "legs of different lengths" trait.  So the name was oddly kind of fitting.

    I know this has been posted a million times before but no solution I have come across scouring the internet has worked. I have the server shutting down on a computer and laptop. It used to work on the computer. Never worked on the laptop. On a third older computer it works fine. IPs are correct. What is happening?
