  1. I was thinking more along the lines of studded leather equivalent...more as a cosmetic option rather than a new, better armor. The armor could be made from larger bones and the statues could require smaller, more rare bones, as well as the larger ones. ("You accidentally break the brittle bones" or something)
  2. Bone weapons and armor..yes please! It would be great if the bone drops required for the statue were pretty rare, so seeing one showed an accomplishment on behalf of the player who built it.
  3. Spending 16e after having a free, unlimited trial of a game is hardly a big decision to make. Hell, if you really don't want to spend much money, you can prem up for 16e, sell your referral and sleep powders then sell your 10s or w/e for 9-10e to another player. You've now got 2 months premium for like 6 euro. Hardly a big investment for 8 weeks worth of fun.
  4. I think the point should be that changes such as this should have been made within weeks of the original addition of rares rather than years later. Change and bug fixing is great... but such a long window of opportunity leaves it hard to fix. Sure, it is harder to spam create new rare boats etc....but there is already such a huge number in game that I don't think it will make much difference, even within a few years time, except only to make it harder for new players or people who didn't make one during that window. If rare items were 'used up' or lost their rarity, it would have an effect. As it stands currently though, rare items have considerable value, so not many are just left to rot. They get passed on / sold and keep circulating 'forever'.
  5. I was assuming what the others posted to be facts they got from somewhere rather than speculation. If they were just speculating, then shame on them
  6. So another nerf that hugely negatively affects new players who haven't had the chance to create rares with the old rates for years... And if it is as huge as nerf as the 1/22 rate suggests, that is insane.... I could have created a huge workshop full of rare forges before I even make 1 now if those figures are right. Well, there goes my dream of creating my own rare items any time soon...
  7. So if this figure is correct, it just became 22x tougher to make rare forges etc? If so, that's an insane nerf, after such a large 'window of opportunity' and hundreds/thousands of rares being made 'the easy way'. That 1/22 figure, was that just for using a rare brick on a unfinished forge? Or at the initial creation stage using 2 rare items?
  8. Oh ok, so just taking it in line with how other non-complex items work then. So previously it was impossible to fail a rare roll when spamming forges?
  9. Oh, so a rare unfinished forge isn't guaranteed to become a rare forge when last piece is attached for example? But the base rate remains the same?
  10. So creating rares without using rare mats got nerfed? Any idea how much 'rarer' it is to get a rare now?
  11. This is exactly the same thing, except you trying to get a bunch of people together to all do it at once. It is rude and it isn't our place to tell them how to run their business. Outside of telling them what you would like to see change in the suggestions threads, just enjoy the game and let them run it.
  12. Yeah, some way to preserve/memorialize the unique slayings would be nice. Like a statue as you said, or a way to mount the corpse itself with a plaque / examine option to see the date of the kill and the name whoever hit it last/butchered it or something.
  13. Sorry I think either you've misunderstood me or, more likely, I worded it poorly. I am 100% in agreement with you... Slickshot proposed that we tell Code club how to run things. My idea behind the polls was to get some sort of feedback from us, the players, that Code Club can look at to see where we stand with our wants/needs. (How many people want to be able to prem up more alts etc) Of course, as you say, what people say and what they eventually do often times don't line up. (I work in sales currently and can attest to that) I still think having a rough idea of what players in general want would be better than CC just imagining what we want however. (There will be definite trends in our responses to such polls that indicate a want for certain features/changes)
  14. Is it even a worthwhile discussion to be having? Players and developers have contrasting views most likely on this subject and as such, what most suggest will likely be in their own best interest rather than the game. Of course most people are going to think make it cheaper, add cosmetics, cheaper multi-accounts etc would be a good idea... I think a few polls would be a better option than a debate, to show Rolf/Code Club some actual statistics on where they can make more money from the players. It is not our place to tell CC how they should run their business. We can however show them what we want in a clear way and let them make the decisions. Something like: "How much would you spend per week/month/year in a cosmetic/microtransaction show?" "What would you buy from such a shop?" (Not a poll, but that would be an actual discussion for players) "How many premium alts would you make if the pricing was reverted/lowered for additional accounts?" "Do you think upkeep rates are too high currently?" This would provide actual data rather than just people saying 'I want this, I want that'. Rather than trying to run the company for them, we would provide information so they can make more informed decisions. (I wouldn't like people telling me how to run my own company at least)
