  1. You're also not allowed to EVER, under any circumstance, make a dragon slaying public. If you choose to make a humanoid slaying public, you're forbidden from rolling the loot to OUTSIDERS. You can bring unlimited alts for extra drake pieces but not your partner or a good friend, because it takes away from OUR drake drops. It's in the written rules! but hey this is about the community! It's not about filling your own pockets.

So EVERYONE purposely ignoring the written rules constantly - they've been changed several times because of members breaking them, and him being added against those very rules, is not an issue worthy of a thread, or even a mention. But it's worthy of a name and shame thread when he does it, suddenly the rules are to never be broken - rules that aren't even written? Let's not kid ourselves, a while back we had a slaying where someone new to the group took the rare bone from a unique that was penned. He thought that was okay to do to pay for the shaker orb and deed. He got a slap on the wrist - I wont say their name here - you can surely scroll up some in the pms and find what I'm talking about. But nobody had an issue with it at all, then, he got to keep the bone and it was never spoken of again. But here's a fantastic bone, there's nothing in the rules about it, and suddenly we have a giant issue. Either you're on a personal crusade against him, or this is very much so about the fact it's a fantastic bone and it's value. Otherwise, I will PM you the name of the previous person who did this and you can go ahead and start a thread about them, too.

  5. It's a shame to see that a group with a good intention in the start (to allow access to unique slayings to as many players as possible) turned into a group of exclusion and greed. At some point the rules stated that no "outsiders" were allowed, and you were not allowed to join non-group slayings, the exact opposite of the original intention. Many times the words thieves, poachers, cartels, griefers and more are used to describe people from off-server. Yet in the same breath, you may do whatever you please on other servers. What is bad to do to me, is okay to do to others, because they're not in my alliance. The rules also explicitly states that dragon slayings may never be made public, yet other private parties are the devil. I was invited to join the new group as the old one was disbanded. Thanks, but as an outside poaching thief, I'll stay out of the communist manifesto that's going on here. You're shaming the guy that has been doing more public slayings than anyone has recently, making him out to be the bad guy for keeping a piece of loot when you decided the implied rules were important this time.
  6. Wurm used to have cheaper prem and no option to pay with ingame cash. The playerbase was so much lower back then. Jkhome would crash if more than 50 were online. There doesn't seem to be a reason to remove it, since it was added the playerbase has not declined.
  7. An elaborately decorated dining table that prevents items from taking decay damage. A beautiful, ornamented small table that will prevent decay on a few items. Basically a table-version of the magic chest. Let us display our dining setups without worrying about decay, and possibly allow visitors to dine from them aswell.

The main concern has always been "but too many textures" - well, to be honest, some of the new stuff that has been added has been great but has caused some pretty severe memory issues - compared to before - that I don't think it's a good excuse anymore. A couple of megabytes in textures that add variety and flavor to the game aren't going to hurt anything and wont decrease performance, just pack size, but the average game is several gigabytes nowadays anyway. I'd be cool with them being added to all sorts of creatures, anything from melanistic scorpions to albino wolves and dalmation dogs.

  10. Description A thick helm that only exposes a pair of slits where the eyes are. A horned helmet that inspires respect. It looks dangerous, heavy, and robust. Notes A horned helmet is armour for your head and face which helps to prevent injuries in combat and falls. It's made of steel and gold and was obtained through a treasure hunt on Chaos. It protects the same parts of the body as the open helm and basinet helm. I noticed that this says it's obtained on a treasure hunt on chaos, but if I'm correct, one or more of these were also given out as rewards from the challenge servers.
  11. +1, although, it seems to be unintentional if this still frequently happens. Signatures are not supposed to get erased. Used to be able to by dropping an item below 20 ql and then back over it, not sure if that's still the case, but randomly sometimes it still happens when it shouldn't.
  12. Golden valley? If there is no building, deeding, terraforming, whatsoever, the load on the server shouldn't be too harsh.

  14. Like said in the title: Currently archaeology tokens have a list of information that becomes invisible upon server crossing much like reports become unreadable. While I understand the reports are dynamic for a reason, the tokens do not need to be. Please embed the deed founder, last mayor, disband date and inhabited time into the tokens examine permanently and not server bound, so that it may be possible to create a collection of tokens across servers.

  17. These sorts of tests are futile.. With other traits, and a variety of factors you cannot run a fair test on these things ingame. Your own fat levels, the horses soul strength and various other things all apply to the end speed of the horse - soul strength activates how often and how long traits kick in (which is why hellhorses and unicorns do not ever stop using their traits once they activate whereas horses with lower soul strength have random speeds). From the WU code, the ebony black would result in roughly 25% of the fleeter movement trait which is already a small number. The only way to "test" this - even then, it'll still not be 100% reliable, is to have a completely starved and fasted character ride two frshly spawned, same age, no-trait never ridden before horses, one ebony and one not-ebony and compare their top speeds, not their overall speed to complete a lap. If it is indeed percentage based like suggested, then the effect will be nearly unnoticeable in a testing setup, but fairly noticeable on a full geared horse. The real only way to prove or disprove this is to ask a developer to confirm or deny this.
  18. The actual Challenge servers - which I think ran twice - were a lot of fun. I'd love to see them back.
  19. Like the title says, could wardrobes have shelves in them? As far as I know containers like backpacks do not go into them and if you have multiple sets of armour in a wardrobe it gets kindof messy.
  20. I would like to request that for animals with the baby stage, an age minimum on breeding gets removed. A young horse is the "adult" version of the horse, whereas a foal is the immature stage, so it makes no sense to wait till the "adult" version reaches adolescence.
