Remove the skillgain disable when dropping+digging
Alyeska replied to Oblivionnreaver's topic in Suggestions & Ideas
+1 for removing old anti-macro systems. This does literally NOTHING to prevent macroing because this mechanic only works on certain tile types and is easily circumvened for someone who really wants to macro for skillgain. otherwise, let's re-add pickaxes getting stuck in rock walls -
Valentines sheep eh?

Time to bump an old thread. Id love if armour stands - or even a new item mannequin - would show the armour in it accurately - perhaps to be done by giving the item slots just like our body has.

Alliance teleport (call it however you want..)
Alyeska replied to Finnn's topic in Suggestions & Ideas
Offering teleports to north xanadu b16, you pay you hunt! Getting back home is your own problem! -
So you are indeed to ruin his reputation and not to defend your own. And I'm sure you'll respond as to why you think you are justified, and Angelklaine again will tell you to stop because you're only hurting your own reputation, but I think it's just going in circles at this point and your point has indeed been made. Well, that's quite a shame from someone I had a lot of respect for.

It's time to bring back the greatest hota statue of all time.
Alyeska replied to Tryfaen's topic in Suggestions & Ideas
yes please bunnies -
No, you protecting your reputation is not the same as trying to ruin someone elses. To warn people to be careful about dealing with a conniving, deceitful, backtracking liar is not the same as saying "abc said xyz about and this is why it's not true." You talk about monetary gains, and I'm starting to think he may just have been right.
-
Maybe they can just come pre-killed and ready to butcher by mail, too
-
Legios is not a liar. You may not agree with him, but this is just stupid. I'm sorry Gumbo, but you crossed the line here, this is a ###### thread.
-
I do like both. They each have their own place. But it was in response to mockishly requesting monetary compensation for priest updates - you do get some form of compensation for those, or at least a way to keep up to date with the new stuff - albeit not monetarily, itd be akin to being able to pick up and move your existing deed to a new location. Which would be quite challenging.

With big religion changes usualy you do get a free /transfer - as with the last one - to convert to a new deity if you so desire.

Trust me on this one, people complain about the Glasshollow favela markets on a daily basis. The dislike for them is pretty universal. And they're probably the reason for the idea that any market near a starting area is based on greed.
-
But the OP said that this suggestion is not intended for PVE - its intended for PVP. You don't need scale on PVE, just leather, a horse, and an LT weapon - according to the OP, of course.
-
If I cant have it, it is not fun and its a conspiracy against me
-
I don't think scale is OP. It has balancing factors that offset its damage reduction which I explained. The difficulty of the obtaining of it is a reason to have it be worthwhile to use. Having to farm 6 cotton tiles and waiting a week cannot possibly be compared in terms of difficulty to having to find and slay multiple dragons and saying "well, this is fair". At any rate, if you suck at combat, you'll die to a troll even when wearing scale armour. its not OP in that it makes you invincible. And if you're purely looking for an easy way to have powerful armour, you can get a set of plate and ride a horse around.
-
Just because you don't like them, doesn't make them unreasonable objections. Yes, I'd hate to see the DR gap between scale and cloth narrowed. One is made from pieces of cotton, the other from scales of a dragon. I don't want every armour to be just as good or a copy of the next one. Cloths purpose is to be cheap, disposable, light and good for priests while still providing glance rate, scale is great for damage reduction, but hard to create, and not good for priests. If you want good damage reduction that is easier to make, you sacrifice speed and go for plate. If you look at videos of people fighting you see a variety of armour being used, drake, scale, chain, plate, studded leather and as mentioned, even some in cloth. It's pretty well balanced without trying to bring them closer together - that just unbalances it again.

Metal Bowls Volume Adjustment and Liquid Holding
Alyeska replied to Xallo's topic in Suggestions & Ideas
+1, now that placing items ontop of tables is possible it'd be great to use a very nice looking existing model for something useful... -

Of course my group is the same - it's the same group. How do you think I can read these rules? They have had no issues letting off-server outsiders join as long as those outsiders provide loot for the group, even when it's against their own rules. For Lordlouis, they didn't have to let Zoranah join in, because he already provided hem with access to the uniques they found. I have no issues with private slayings or slayings done for the hunters gain, but I do have an issue with someone pretending this is about a community perspective, and slandering someone with implications of theft. The only reason this thread is here is because the bone is fantastic. No written rules were broken. Nothing was stolen. Written rules were broken in other circumstances and nobody said anything. Rules were changed when people disliked them. The same situation has happened in the past with a rare bone, and no threads or consequences. There's only a single, very different factor here. Whether it's monetary value or perceived in-game value of this item, it's pretty clear that's what it's about. No matter how hard you scream that it's about the community aspect. It's not. The hardcore rules and enforcement (or breaking of) of them is actually what made a lot of people quit that community hunting party.
