  1. Its a right triangle , its going up and it will continue to get higher till it reaches the top. But if you lower the end tile to level it will not have enough clearance. It has to be raised 5 dirt in order to have the clearance. So this means the minimum clearance...so you do not get the clearance error message..... is 5 dirts not 10. It only matters that the end tile is at least 5 dirt higher than the lowest point under your bridge or that any point under your bridge has at least 5 dirts clearance. Tested, confirmed 9 times. Also tested flat bridge, same result, end tile needs to be raised 5 tiles. Ill do a ss here in a sec to illustrate. So the height at the end of the first bridge section is 5 dirt above the surrounding terra (under the bridge).(One end, the other is flush with the end tile) So this means that it only cares that the end tile, (in this ss the tile behind the first tile of the bridge) is at least 5 dirts higher than the lowest point under the bridge ( The dead level base). Which then means the minimum clearance is 5 dirts.
  2. The minimum clearance is 5 dirt not 10.
  3. Very hypnotic, good for terraforming, kind of TOOL ish [media]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwqxXOG_0r8 [media]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opZzLsYRFM8
  4. Yes, but the point is not whether he has any impact on development decisions, the language used suggests that ramps are a foregone conclusion and simply awaiting implementation. It sounds as though this has been discussed and kicked around by many people, long ago and was already determined as good for implementation. So why bother with a suggestion?

  6. The minimum clearance I believe is 5 dirt I ran into this issue multiple times, you cant do a true right triangle so you need to raise the end tile a minimum of 5 dirt. As long as the end tile is at least 5 dirt higher than the lowest point under the bridge the clearance should be good.
  7. Just so im clear on this, as im getting ready to do a number of different sized bridges over water, If the bridge is flat and over water its an 8 dirt minimum regardless of length If the bridge is arched and over 8 tiles in length and over water then it has to have an 80 dirt clearance This is correct?? (Assuming Brick and Marble)
  8. Looks like it is already planned as per this post, so is there really a need for a suggestion?
  9. Yeah I think Hordern is correct, those pics, after I looked at them again, those bridges are not over 5 tiles in length. The first one looks like it but I dont think they are after comparing it to mine. So looks like 80 dirt or multiple bridges it will be.
  10. IM finding a min of 8 slope over water for arched bridges. "Official" - still looking for other items that may be causing it to fail Id say raise your levels 5 dirt higher on each end and try, just for kicks and giggles and see if anything opens up.
  11. Yeah I see what you mean there. Maybe that 80 dirt rule is to allow boats to pass. I was reading this somewhere, let me see if I can find it. So much of the info is buried in multiple threads.
  12. IIRC a bridge over water thats over 5 tiles in length has to be 80 dirts high above the water.....I think this is the rule on that, so you would need at least 2 bridges if 1. I understand your issue correctly and 2. If I am correct about the 80 dirt rule. Your skill is fine I just did a 17 tile one and im at 83.9xxx Masonry Im not too far down the coast from you,if all else fails I can come up and assist if you need.
  13. Roller coaster effect all gone.(with only 1 lane completed) I dropped the gatehouse and lengthened it a few tiles and got a much smoother curve. In a game where everything is in straight lines these curves are a much welcome and needed addition. Ultimately going for something more like this with a few more buildings and such after i get all the terra done. A nice teardrop bridge running through and above all the buildings on deed. Then terminates at the main castle 7x8x11. Hopefully the scale works out ok.
  14. +1, but it needs to be able to be built inside of structures as well as outside. Stand alone that can be push pulled into position. Different widths as well as different height options so we can do multiple story ceilings without issue.

  16. Very very much still under construction, This is one of 4, 2 part bridges. one on each of the cardinal points. 3 wide brick arched. there is another 10 tile section to be attached on the gatehouse. And yes it does look like a roller coaster After finishing itll look more like a bridge. Would be awesome if we could do a true right triangle with arched bridges instead of having to raise the end tiles for clearance. Would also be very very helpful to have a finer grain of control over the steepness.
  17. Then Black and Yellow should have been used. (If an argument on technically the best colors to use for attention) This has been proven, many times, to be the best color combination for "eye catching, attention drawing" items. However its gone now and hopefully it doesnt come back.
  18. SS are from FireFox, -- IE ..of course...just makes a mess of it.
  19. The Brown tab Is much better. Matches site colors and is right where I can click it and get the info easily - Much improved. The status bar itself is very well done indeed, nice job. I think Id put that status bar front and center as its too nice to be hiding behind a tab.

  22. Yep they did, and it shouldnt be on anyones list. Its just too easy to do that in way that is not so glaringly......bad....and make it work with the rest of the website.
  23. There are probably 10000 different ways to do this other than the green bar at the top of the homepage of the website. You can use DIV's You can use TABLES Nest either if you need You can name the DIV's and then point at them in your code so that its always got the latest and greatest info There is no need to use a giant ugly green bar at the top of the home page. Javascript, HTML 5 CSS v2 or above .NET Lots of options you can use to integrate such info onto the homepage without that giant ,ugly green bar. PLEASE pick one....and replace that green bar. Its truly god awful ugly.
