In all the years I have been playing Wurm I must admit that I have always been surprised at the actual uptime that Wurm has enjoyed. Sure there have been occasional hiccups, but the uptime for Wurm has always been great. No matter where Wurm gets its connection from some event like this will happen eventually, just as it has to countless others. It is one of those issues that I wish was a problem with Wurm, because then I could tell you that Rolf and the Dev team are working on it and give you a rough estimate of when things will improve. Unfortunately, since this is apparently an actual internet problem we all suffer it. At the moment I can only hope that whatever trunk or hub is having these major problems gets their hardware sorted out sooner rather than later.

Just throwing this up here to help alleviate some questions. This is MY estimation based on normal operations that the login server will likely be back in around 4 hours of this post. Though as I said it is only my estimation as I have no verifiable ETA to provide. (update: I would avoid crossing servers during this time frame. Just to be safe.)

I cannot give a firm ETA on when Login will be back up at this time. If it is a server issue, which it does appear to be, Rolf will be automatically alerted and will be working on it soon. I would expect anywhere from a 30 minute, up to a 6 hour wait at this time depending on the actual issue.

I appreciate the sentiments and I really do enjoy helping whenever and wherever I can. Oracle is still with us, make no mistake. He simply has other priorities and has chosen to allow me to step up. (Which I am sure will please Shankiest, but I am always here for the left answers )

I have allowed this to go on long enough. Those who had a legitimate concern spoke their peace. Rolf has made his statements and we will move on.

We are working on it. Granted.. slowly... But we are working on it.

The center stage of the tutorial is intended to resemble a small active town in the end. My plan for it is to optionally discuss the economy, merchants, traders, etc.. with it. But I agree with you that the stage is not well designed at the moment. Right now my current design is for clear line of sight access to the portals. We will be including all the new features and design capability in the new Wurm version as we improve the tutorial itself. Your design here is good, and adds plenty of additional depth. I have saved the image for consideration.

I have not seen a way to adjust a registration setting like that in this software. I believe it is coded into the software itself in which case I am unable to allow more than one forum account per email address.

Apologies, this is actually my fault. I couldn't make a deal with the Easter Bunnies union in time. They demanded lead free paint, shorter working hours, hair conditioner, environmentally friendly Easter baskets, high end running shoes, and carrots. I thought we were going to make it in time as we agreed to everything, but when they demanded carrots I just had to walk away from the bargaining table.

I have tried to contact this person as of my above post here two days ago to find out their side of the story, and at this time they have not responded.

I do not have any official words to pass along however just to give everyone who is unaware an update, we normally encounter Rolf looking into any problems about this time of day for him. So IF there is a problem with the Wurm Online end of things he will likely be getting it sorted soon from the time of this post. Please try to be patient a little longer.

Most of this type of behavior is symptomatic of major network lag somewhere on the Internet.

Hello, We conducted an investigation into the mechanics of taking HoTA statues recently and found them to be in proper working order. Older statues planted before the planting update a while back could be taken while new statues after the update are not takeable once planted. These older statues are fair game and were taken by accepted legal method during a raid. So if you have older statues planted before the respective update you should replant them and secure them better. Thank you, Enki (Asst. Head Game Master)

So far we are not finding an issue on Wurm's end. None of us are having any trouble on any server. But based on these numbers.... Regional network issues somewhere?
