  1. The problem here is that this is as it is stated in the Wiki. I think there is a Wiki section here someplace. I'll place a change request there.
  2. In the Wiki it says meals decay faster with salt. Days one and two no damage with or without salt. Day three with salt significant damage, 60. Day three without salt damage 0. Is this correct or is this a typographical error? http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Meal 10.0 QL meal with salt Day 0 = 0.0 damage Day 1 = 0.0 damage Day 3 = 60.0 damage 10.0 QL meal without salt Day 0 = 0.0 damage Day 1 = 0.0 damage Day 3 = 0.0 damage If this is indeed correct someone needs to reexamine their reasoning for making meals with salt decay more readily than without.
  3. Pristine, Release and Exodus are probably the most over developed servers. Urban jungles is what I would call them. Celebration and Deliverance still have areas never developed. Probably because those areas are more robust. Indy is well developed but most of it is ruins. You have to have a bulldozer to get anything done. Because Xanadu is so large the inland areas truly are inland, meaning far from any water and vast in WURM terms.
  4. Clay? You can't place clay or peat tiles. How about steppe? Gravel, wood, grass, dirt, trees.
  5. Initially my friends and I were fairly neutral as to whether or not this was a proper business decision. After having thought about it for a time most of us have moved our position to the positive side, at least as it concerns us. We will now be able to play the game free of negative influence. Think of it. No worries about what is built being tampered with. No fences. No griefing. No theft. A completely relaxed atmosphere. This is how the WURM PvE servers should have always been Twelve of us will set up our server and probably never come back to WO. Yes, for us this is a great move.

  7. I fail to understand the anxiety people have with running a game on Steam. I and my friends have been using Steam for years and have had no problems. Exactly why do a few people oppose running Steam?
  8. That is a double negative. It is unlikely the people not coming to WURM never happens? It is unlikely the people not coming to WURM ever happens? Exactly what is it that is unlikely? Be clear man, make some sense.
  9. I see no need for yet another wagon type. Tipper probably has the better solution. I would rather see the time and resources applied in a different manner.
  10. I afraid I can't say yes to some and I can't say no to some others. Which leaves me in a position where I can't say anything about any of it. It's a sad situation.
  11. You can have a wooden wall under a wooden bridge.
  12. The course of the pipe would have to be downhill from the water source since we have no pumps. If we have copper pipes then we should be allowed aqueducts too. As for lead pipe, if you use this you lose steadily lose points on mind speed and mind logic because of lead poisoning.
  13. I realize this may seem to be too picky but it might be a good idea to have this as a separate consideration. Also under the picky category how about Unload as well but separate from Load?

  15. On the return journey it was the same wandering off to one side or the other of an attempted straight course. That this has never been resolved while other fantastic things have been accomplished leads one to believe it is intentional. Why such a thing might be made to happen on purpose or at the very least allowed to continue unresolved is perplexing at the very least. A horse or a team of horses can be made to follow a road without meandering about like an inebriated party hopper on New Years Eve. Some are so accustomed to following roads the driver has little to do. What is the problem in WURM? Very annoying.

    Is it my imagination or does my horse no longer travel down roads like a drunken sailor? Since I have not used my wagon for awhile I don't know if this odd behavior holds true for it. If this is not my imagination and horses and wagons do travel a more true line parallel to the road I am most grateful for this fix.
  17. It can pick up players and throw them several tiles. A rat makes it run away. Elephants are quite capable of feeding themselves. They have been doing that for millions of years. They are capable of going rouge and destroy wooden houses, fences, carts, lamps, anything useful and you. Bah, who wants a rouge elephant? It would stand out like a sore thumb. That should be rogue. Good old spellcheck.
  18. You are not thinking right. Far too many lamps placed on public roads and bridges would be taken. These things serve a useful purpose and should not be able to be moved except the the person placing them.
  19. Why do you need to buy a premium character to deed? Get an alt. Look for a new home. Disband old home. Deed new home. Move stuff. People do this every day. No, you are not thinking correctly. People have built massive bridges that are off deed and lighted. Are they to lose all of their work? These lamps also stay on roads and bridges that are regularly used. It is a public service just like the street lamps and bridges in a rl city. If anything they should be made to decay slower.
  20. Ah, now here is a good one. Also, if your upkeep is two days from running out. +1 Which brings up a most annoying subject. Exactly why do we buy upkeep that lasts 28 days ( a WURM account month) when upkeep decay becomes active at 30 days. Would it kill anyone to align both of these to 28 days? It is not logical to call a month both 28 days and 30 days. And at some point a player is forced to pay two months upkeep to prevent decay.

You don't get to rise above level 20? There is no reason for anyone to stay free to play other than you can stay free to play without the advantages of a pay to play individual. At least now a free to pay player can contribute to the game with a deed. The idea behind making a free to play or a new player more secure is keeping them in the game at all. Perhaps some day they will pay to play. If the new player leaves the game the chances of that are zero. Under your tutelage the chances of WURM growing would be zero. It would consist of you and your closest 20 friends with their alts, if you have that many friends.
  23. On the new launcher it would be helpful if the WURM date and time were included.
  24. I had been running all 64-bit before the Windows 10 upgrade. My graphics drivers update automatically and did so immediately after Windows 10 install but...and I suppose others should look for this, for some reason my 64-bit Java failed. I had to reinstall Java. So yes, you hit the nail on the head, it was a problem with Java versions. Why Windows 10 did this is perplexing. Thank you for the suggestion.
  25. For me Windows 10 is having some problems with Java. The first time I run the game from the desktop icon there is a Java issue that crashes the client. Then I restart the game from my desktop icon and 80% of the time it runs ok. Sometimes I have to restart from desktop three or four times. Not sure how many people who are running Windows 10 have this issue. It might just be my machine. I will have to check to see if mobs are still going between the end of my bridge and the building attached to the end of the bridge. I sincerely hope this is fixed. Last week a hell hound squeezed in.
