  1. The sheer amount of time, money and effort that would go to waste due to this suggestion is reason enough not to implement it.
  2. At least drastically reduce the damage they cause to walls, although simply doing away with this foolishness would be much easier for everyone.
  3. I don't think that limiting players skill-wise in any way will fix PvP. It's more reasonable in my opinion to make it less rewarding for someone with high fighting skills to kill someone that is far lower in skill, e.g. no gear drops upon death, no loss of affinity, no rank gain, fewer coffers drained from predominately low-level villages, etc. This would promote player growth and retention as well as encourage higher leveled players to attack more suitable targets for the PvP that they desire.
  4. I don't have a problem with the concept, but realistically speaking, how many players do you yourself expect to bring in with these new servers. In my opinion of course these servers would seemingly divide the game into even more niches; not that there's a problem with niche servers as Wurm could potentially appeal to a wide spectrum of players, but the niche would be terribly small in comparison to how much work was put into these new servers. It would be by far better to finally get the tutorial completed so new players are better educated; perhaps even giving them some pointers or special items to get them started. In a nut-shell, the suggestion means well, but there isn't really a way to sell it at this point with how hard it is to start off as a new player. I'd rather have new players realize that they don't like the game in the tutorial and quit than have them wander around for a few days and quit out of frustration.
  5. it would be nice if you could make a bridge between two houses on the second floor.
  6. We're Doomed!

This is assuming that there is no one or nothing there to stop them.
  7. It probably was ninja-nerfed due to the "mass amounts of players reaching high meditation levels." Another window of opportunity closed and another skill no one wants to bother training like animal husbandry.
  8. I agree with Aether. Games like Runescape hand out veteran items after playing for so long, but it's just for vanity. Most of them rarely know what they're talking about.
  9. Congratulations to the new recruits! Just don't mess anything up or I'll have to hurt you! No pressure though.

The problem is that very few discussions remain civilized for more than a few minutes. I and many others can attest to that. Have a little self-restraint, decency, and respect for those around you. Just because you deem it acceptable doesn't mean it's not offensive or even taboo for others.

Why does everything have to be feast or famine in relation to how much one is supposed to engage in PvP? The home-servers are the perfect middle-ground to me for those who want a little more risk than Freedom but don't want to get stomped as soon as they get to Epic. The home-servers don't 'breed' Freedomers; rather they harbor the beliefs of Freedomers and those beliefs are further entrenched when you have players from Elevation nagging Rolf to put a size-12 boot up their rear end. The problem is not the home-servers harboring Freedomers though. The problem is that Elevation lacks appeal and many are turned off by the not-so-friendly nature of those on Elevation, at least by what can be viewed on the forums. Back to the topic at hand though: Does Epic deserve a better scenario ending? Definitely.
  12. The difference is that you are not paying for the service itself, but the guard that performs that service. So you would acually be paying 1s for all those things.

Alcohol by definition is a drug actually, but I do agree that the rule is not concisely written. To me the point of the argument lies between decency and legality. Alcohol is illegal to a degree and as has been mentioned requires the moderators to treat it as such due to a younger audience. It is also much different talking about alcohol versus caffiene for these reasons (decency and legality) as well as how escalated or controversial discussing alcohol and illegal substances can be.
