  1. +1 I don't mind them taking forever, but let me fuel them up for a reasonable time compared to the output.
  2. I think I question the logic that creation of those armors is significant economically. The materials are 95+% of the cost of the item, and my experience is that improving the QL of worn out armor and weapons is the big ticket economically, even if it is spread out over time.
  3. A fantastic and indispensable tool in my Wurm life. All I could ask would be the ability to choose the color of the timers to make them easier to distinguish at a glance.
  4. Good on a dedicated hunting server, would be utter disaster on existing servers. Places were built and people arrived with a mindset adjusted for the current mix of threats, throw in valeri mobs and you might as well throw in a server reset. :/

  6. I'd be in favor of this IF we can come up with a fair way to measure participation is such an event. Maybe several rift style waves of minions and then the final wave being the Unique itself? A minimum participation level to reduce the alt army to a manageable level. Could be combined with the hunting server suggestions.

  8. +1 I'm in favor of character re-customization after creation, more money for CCAB and lets people correct unfortunate naming/design decisions. Idea: A toggle option that makes it so a character's original name is displayed prominently, like an extra title. Ex. Darmalus changes name to Blarp. Toggle off: Blarp [Farmer] Toggle on: Blarp {Darmalus} [Farmer]
  9. I wish there was a third type of grass for this reason. One that wouldn't spawn trees/bushes, but spawned grass mobs and was a lovely but still distinct shade of green.
  10. +1 Quick idea on how to determine if a tile is Salt Water, Brackish or Fresh Water. LOS Definition: Line of sight, means a direct cardinal direction (N, E, S, W) of water tiles uninterrupted by land. Underground: Always Freshwater No LOS to server edge: Always Freshwater 2 or more LOS to server edge: Always Saltwater After that it gets a bit more complicated. 1 LOS to server edge: Saltwater UNLESS touching Freshwater, then Brackish. If Brackish water is touching Fresh Water on 2 or 3 sides AND is not touching Salt Water on at least 1 side, then it becomes Fresh Water. Run a check every hour or so (to keep server load light) and it should, over time, have the water types stabilize in a fairly sane pattern, with brackish water being a border region between salt and fresh water.
  11. Enough with the silly split skill gain nonsense. If players can move between the two just have identical skill gain everywhere. Either reduce Epic to Freedom levels or raise Freedom to Epic levels, it doesn't matter, just stop trying to keep this ghost of a split game going.
  12. -1 Banning them would not stop them from happening, just make it more fraud prone. Better they happen in the open. I am also unconvinced that sold accounts are a source of the problems they are associated with, rather than a symptom. But if you really want to stop accounts from being sold, have CCAB start buying accounts from players when they wish to be done with the game for silver based on total skills (this could be automated). Then CCAB deletes the character and the person has silver to sell for real $ on the open market. People still get to cash out and those high skill accounts are gone forever.
  13. There are a truly staggering number of cheeses out there, let's add them to Wurm! Each quadrant (NW, SW, NE, SE) of each server gets a random special cheese (ie Gouda, Parmesan, Cheddar) assigned to it for each regular cheese (cheese, feta, buffalo) . Using a Cheese Box, a player can convert up to 100 cheese at a time into the special cheese for the area in a manner similar to fermenting. Cheese Box: Small nails + 6 planks. Holds 100 cheese. Once filled with the regular cheese, the cheese box is sealed using a cloth square and the box becomes a Sealed Cheese Box (aging). After a period of time, you can open it up and get your delicious new cheese.
  14. Think about how big a bear is, and how little meat you get from one. At that rate we'd be lucky to get 1 fillet per catfish!
  15. Wurm is a bit weird, economically speaking. Our big movers of wealth, rent (deed upkeep) and income (foraging or the store) are invisible and require no other players. Its easy to become a self sufficient hermit. Economic activity happens across a gradient, and Wurm is extremely flat.
  16. Silver converted into real money still goes to someone who presumably spends it. The concern would be people who get silver (by any means), but don't spend it.
  17. I am curious as to what vampire hunting gear is in wurm. Garlic, pointy sticks and big leather hats?
  18. Why not unify the skill gain system and not waste time with one time bonuses and other complicated nonsense?
  19. I store catfish in crates rather than FSBs. They are HUGE compared to other types of fish. the FSB on my docks is stuffed with thousands of catches and not even half full, but cant even hold 70 or so catfish.

  21. On Epic (I think?) stuff already drops out of your inventory on log out under certain conditions, so the code for making chained tools leave your inventory on log out already exists.
  22. I imagine the talk function being like minor NPCs in the RPGs I grew up with like Baldur's Gate. Select NPC -> Talk (box similar to meditation question pops up) Might be good for Player or GM made quests too.
