  1. Look. I know it's a big map and there is no upkeep. But please don't claim large swathes of the newbie island. If you want to create larger plots, the mainland awaits.
  2. Is it possible for a mod to set the maximum settlement size for deeds and allow a GM (or Arch GM?) to resize an overly large settlement. If so, could someone create one?
  3. Two questions: Is there any way to limit the size of settlements? Is there a way a GM can resize a settlement?
  4. Yep. I've stopped using rock and have switched to cliff. I'm hoping it has the same effect.
  5. Ive done some further investigation and it does appear to be a percentage. I'll try setting it to 1, but this means I'll have to take the server down to change to database value. I'll do it this, afternoon when I get home. EDIT: Ok. I added a tree percentage spread of one. Unfortunately it had a side effect I didn't expect; the background calculations for a 16k map with that many trees caused LAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1one!!!!

  8. Sorry for the thread necromancy, but this seems appropriate. I have a few questions regarding tree spread. * Does this affect planted sprouts? I have a player on my server who's sprouts keep disappearing. * Is there a fix for wild fruit trees spreading like weeds?
  9. New Content: A trader has set up shop in the ruins of old Skara Brae. A smithy, leatherworker and shipwright under construction. Each will sell goods appropriate to their profession. EDIT: Although the town is GM run, players may join. Send me a message if you want to be a citizen.

  12. I've got tree spread set to zero in my server settings to stop spread of forests. It's a big map so it could easily get overgrown, especially the way fruit trees grow. But I've had a player report that out of 50 sprouts, only 5 have survived. Is that because of the tree spread setting?
  13. I'm not sure. I'll put a question on the Server Issues forum and see if I get an answer. Also ..... I've updated the map on the first post.
  14. This is going to sound silly, but .... how do you string a bow? I've got the unstrung bow. I've got the bowstring. The crafting windows doesn't do it. Activating the bow doesn't give you the option. Activating the string doesn't give you the option. You can't seem to equip a unstrung bow, so I'm not sure about that. Can someone clue me in here?
  15. Having some issues with Clients not authenticating after the restart. Investigating. EDIT: All good now.
  16. I haven't turned decay on. It may be on by default. I'll investigate. (If it is, it's going to be a pain with all the structures I've created so far! )

  18. AH! Ok. I may have to do the old SQL switcharoo on my zombies then. I might put in a request for mod for an extension to the ebony wand that will let you set kingdom on summon.
  19. AH HA!! You need reinforced floors and they must be flat. THEN you can plan buildings underground. The current downside is, as bigsteve already mentioned, is that creatures do not respect doors.
  20. After doing some experimentation, I found if I spawn about 20 skeletons, most will die but some will survive. You just need to clean up the bodies that are left behind. It's messy, but it works. I've had no such success with wraiths. Zombies are a weird one. I'm not sure how why they are set to kingdom 4. Is there any way to change them to 0 ... short of shutting down the server and running and SQL job to change their database value. And that doesn't change any new ones spawned. In fact, if possible, I'd to see an advanced spawner that would allow you to control kingdom, aggressiveness and some of the other controls you don't normally have access to. Is that doable as a mod?
  21. How did you create it then? What process did you follow? And which server setting did you use?
  22. I had real issues with my altars. I couldn't spawn them as a GM even If I destroyed the existing one. I had to tag and move the same existing one.
  23. Ok. I've been playing around with the Cave Dwellings setting and the best I can seem to determine is that it's not working yet. Do we have an ETA on that?
