  1. Been suggested a few times by myself and others. I'd like to see Jackal be the hunting server with skills being 1:1 transfer between servers. There are missions, new mobs to fight, new wood types, new mounts and was really cool except I didn't like when they released it you had to start over from zero skill. Should just be advanced hunting server with unique stuff to do for experienced (higher fighting level) players. Add some of the PvP features like random battle camps where different Alliances can compete and even battle each other except no looting when you kill someone. That zone would be small and a time introduced event. Hoping more people would be involved if they knew their wasn't a chance to lose your best gear to someone on death. I mean you still have to go find and loot your own body though, but wouldn't be loot-able by others. If they did do something like this I'd like to see some GuildWars 2 style PvP where all gear is zero'd out and everyone has almost even stats. Only for the small zones on hunting servers. Do some old school Chaos type stuff where if there's a bunch of people fighting there is a chance for Spirit Dragons (or drake or whatever they were called) or No Gumps to appear and start attacking everyone.
  2. This might help limit having to post /support tickets, get evidence from logs, talk to multiple people, plead your case, get GMs involved, wait for an outcome and then blast people on forums. Oh and then GMs post updates to rules or ask people to play nice and be fair and then just all the public drama that comes with this. I'm assuming holding someones item because they want a better deal because item they imped went rare is a conversation and waste of time for CM/GMs and not a ban from the game.

Be nice if a feature was added when sending mail to someone that it's a "protected item" meaning that if item is received in the mail with this option enabled, no one can activate, equip or use it except the original sender. The item can still be moved from inventory, storage, forges and etc. Should be able to see "who" its protected by and the item can only be improved at this point. Once mailed back to sender and accepted, the protection wares off and can be used again by anyone. The mail system would need an option for protected and to make sure it displays the protection before received by person so no scams or janky stuff when mailing COD items being stuck in protected. "Protected items" would only work when mailed and not when traded or dropped on the ground for another person to accept. I understand the item can still be held hostage if went rare, but at least the item can't be used, switched out or resold for value and there is proof from the "protection" that was mailed to be imped and not screwed with. Didn't think about any cons or abuse this could introduce, but hoping there isn't any. Edit: Having sent a protected item would have the protectors name when doing examine so would be another good feature if you have a lot of orders and forgot who sent you the item. Then don't have to trust or rely on renaming the item before mailing it.
  4. Since a sandbox with nothing but a generic map and basic compass would be cool if they worked more like in real life. Add degrees to the map along with compass having an orienting arrow and degree dial that can be moved around the compass.
  5. I'd like to see random rolls for coins when hunting happen more often.
  6. This is probably the 5th time asking. Hopefully they can reconsider with whatever the rework or addition to whatever they said they were doing that is supposed to make things more fun. 2.5 hour Rift yesterday sucked and we couldn't even kill the Warmaster even though everything else was dead. Please don't make this game only for people that have no real life outside of the game.
  7. I thought it said was happening in hours so was wondering where the actual location was, but if happening in 6 days it makes sense no exact location yet.
  8. A usage for wax could be to wax a plate full of food or any food item which would make it not decay while on deed. It would become non-eatable. Than can display food on table without maintenance.

  11. With Jackal not coming back any time soon and the low turn out rates to Rifts, can you reduce Rifts from 4 waves to 3 please? Gets really long and boring after 3 waves.
  12. I play with outlines off half the time and notice that no matter if it's a pig or a troll, the baseball looking symbol on the left of the health bar is green no matter the creature. Should be changed so bears, trolls, etc are red and not green. Even with outlines on it looks weird trolls have green icon.
  13. Mount animals hotkey would be nice so can lead and then mount easily.
  14. I got excited and got into Steam release. Then after a few days I got frustrated with all the low skill grinding and lack of resources at the time. Already did it for 5 years. Took a break for a few months, recently came back and now I play on Xan again where I already have a good deed setup. I like to explore and do wish the servers will be connected in the future. I also feel like I'm missing out of some fun with others on the Steam servers. It makes sense for how PvP works though.

  18. Nice changes to the combat window. Hoping for focus we can have the "eye" light up or "open up from a closed eye" when focus becomes available. I like how it shows the focus level you're on and how shield bashing is an option when available.
  19. It's small and probably meaningless to most, but I'd like to see an update to weather system so we have more storms, rain and other events. And the weather effects parts of the land/environment too. Even the rare hurricane where the day is darken and very windy where trees look like they are being blown hard by the wind. It's too sunny all the time and the wind only works for sailing. Maybe introduce windmills with an update like this. Or kites.

  21. Just go Guild Wars 2 style and everyone on PvP is the same level (like 50 in body stats and 70 in all other stats) and only gear, special abilities and strategy make the difference. Make everyone a priest by default too with no limitations. Then you'll have an even playing field.
  22. The journal goals are nice as gives a road to a bunch of tasks to do to get a reward while keeping interest in the game. The missions are nice as they do the same thing, but on a time limit to give incentive to get it done, but you have to rely on everyone else in the game to help complete and these missions can take too long. When I was active I would sail to each server just doing missions (mainly traitor). Was better than grinding in one spot for hours. Personal missions (or goals) per character that are from 24-72 hours time frame from a random pool of goals. They would refresh every 3 or 5 days even if in middle of a goal if not completed. Should be time frame when you know goals are refreshed too. At least 3 personal goals you get from a random pool which very on hardness/complexity. Some of these personal missions should be challenging taking you off deed on an adventure, but the 24 hours ones would be more simple with lesser reward. Some of these goals will require a lot to finish them, like traveling across the map or another server to find a treasure chest based on clues like archaeology. Some could be having to sail to another server and visit a starter deed to deliver a message to trader from another trader. Some could be hunting missions where you need to hunt and skin 20 specific animals either on your home server or another server. You'll get some store currency to use at deed token or some other incentive. Maybe after 100 missions you get a unique skin you can't buy from the store. Maybe have the incentive change every few weeks or per personal mission cycle. Edit: Was just thinking about "Team" missions also. That might be cool. As a team (using the Wurm Team function) have to hunt and kill 6 champ trolls within 24 hours. Everyone in the team has to be in local for the kill to make it count as team credit so can't just have 4 people running out by themselves hunting. Also make Teams/Groups have minimum and/or maximum people in it per mission. These missions would be available for a week, but only Teams can complete. After first kill with the Team a timer starts the 24 hour countdown to complete the rest of it.
  23. I don't see twitch combat coming to Wurm, but it does need strategy like evading a special move or interrupting a cast when you see the enemy making the action of what they are about to do. Fluid combat is what is needed. Eliminating the actual need to watch the combat log in real time is a big one. Get the MUD concept out of combat. Glad they said something about Jackal not coming. I was holding out for it and hoping it would be a hunting server to veterans. Sounds like maybe some of that concept is coming to Freedom since they mention content for veterans. Guess I'll wait a year until they hopefully merge the servers so can go explore something new. Tried the grind again, but not having fun on new servers being low skilled after 5+ years of this game. Hunted on all the old servers to much where I know the entire maps by memory. Glad game is doing well though.
  24. This sounds great for an expansion as I've stopped playing Wurm. Thought Steam Wurm would be fun, but got tired of low skill grind when I've already spent enough time on regular Freedom with other characters. I like the idea of skills transferring back and forth 1:1 and not some wonky formula that has issues later on. The incentive is doing something new at an advanced level in a foreign environment. Always wanted a hunting server.
