  1. Am I not entitled to my opinion? Or anyone else who posts here for that matter?
  2. Well according to the poll which I assume is accurate you're currently in the minority so telling me to "play something else" might not be a great statement But I do believe atleast map resets were never taken off the table when epic came into existence. If I remember correctly.
  3. I do agree with your point about always playing the catch up game, but I feel this is a special time in wurm's history now that 1.0 is to be released. On almost any other occasion I would be against a skill reset, however, since I feel this is the dawn of a new era in wurm and we can expect many changes and benefits to the game along with boatloads of new players I just feel its a special cirumstance.
  4. I disagree, but obviously neither our opinions will change...
  5. Did I imply that I wasnt serious? Youre telling me, if I made an alt right now, premmed him up and decided to grind, that I can catch up to the veteran pvpers? I dont think so. Im not going to walk out and in all of a sudden have full drake and be riding a hellhorse.
  6. In my honest opinion, nobody starting epic now will ever reach the level that the current 'veteran' players are at. And I think Rolf, as he has done before, would change his mind if he sees something is that popular...I mean really this is wurm, nothing is set in stone. Also in one of Rolf's Post he writes, and I quote: Ok I changed the text a bit to "hopefully no individual skill resets will be required"
  7. I added skill resets because I feel after 1.0 we will have a new influx of players...(hopefully) and I think that it would be nice if we restarted with same skills and a new map.
  8. well I guess now that I know what the place looks like, theres less incentive for me to visit Looks swell anyway good work!
  9. I find the proposition "Need GM approval to deed on steppes or tundra" to be quite ridiculous really. It is a SANDBOX game...you propose we need to request to deed land now? And I believe that planting of tundra grass is a bad idea as well. Besides that I did agree with some points here regarding a sickle being added to noob characters and sprouts being easier to obtain and thus re-plant
  10. No (or at least not to my knowledge) it is just a proposal and a poll to see what the general feeling among wurmians is.
  11. Well hello everyone, I've prepared myself to be attacked for posting this little suggestion but I might as well have a go eh? Well I used to play on epic (im sure alot of you know or heard of me) and well I just lost interest in the server...as did a good amount of others who I know. So - my suggestion - is to just completely wipe the epic cluster, so a skill and map reset AFTER 1.0 comes out. PvP has stagnated and the Mongols, in an attempt to liven up the situation have disbanded. I wholeheartedly applaud you all for your efforts. I am guessing however, that before 1.0 comes out, PvP & player count will remain at these levels...if for whatever reason a miracle happens and boatloads of people join then we wont need a map/skill reset. But on the hunch this wont happen I think since 1.0 is coming out it would be a nice time to start over as it is ushering in a new chapter in wurm's history and perhaps in epic's history aswell Please leave a response as to the position you took, thanks! 12. Hey there, I will be sure to pop by and buy and sell some things in the near future, thanks for offering such a great place and services. cheers, Ashoof
  13. Seems interesting, so it would essentially be a place where beginners can get on their feet and then eventually sail out into the rest of freedom? I must say I like the idea, at the moment unless you have a plan starting a new account on one of the main freedom servers is quite dangerous...I mean you just get thrown out into the world with not the slightest idea as to what to do. ill +1 it - I'd like to hear some more feedback from other wurmians and see what they think aswell. Maybe as an added thing, once you leave GV you cant come back?
  14. Ode To Frogster

  16. New Player

if you decide to ever head up to independence (the larger server) I'd gladly give ya a ride as i'll be heading down to celebration soon to wrap up some business...shoot me a PM if ya want and we can arrange something. I'm sure I could set you up with a nice little plot too away from civilization if youre into that anyway, good luck! cheers ashoof

  18. And look!! I have a custome too. Me as a builder (?) I should have put my happyface on I guess...maybe ill upload some goofy photos later... we shall see and btw really nice photos! and you dont look like a construction worker but dont judge a book by its cover I guess
  19. "My question is why are some things that are not meant to be removed years later while others are allowed to stay???" To answer your question to the fullest extent of my knowledge. Rolf makes these changes in order to benefit wurm as he sees fit and i'm assuming raise profits for the game. Think about it, the lamp fix now requires people to hire templars to refill lamps on deed. More upkeep payed into the deed which eventually equates into more money in rolf's pocket which we would hope translates into more money spent on developing the game which is good for everyone. On the topic of fountain backpacks or whatever they are, (I don't own one) but it doesn't look like removing that bug or "feature" would produce any positive affect for either rolf, or the playerbase... so basically a (-/-)
  20. I agree that the closing down of that thread was terrible and an over assertion of power.
