  1. So, the starter offers for premium + silver on steam didn't go through with trying to purchase when i did it yesterday.

I tried to buy a normal pack and it worked immedediately, now i obviously dont have the option to buy a starter pack anymore.

Can i get my starter pack option regardless?

Find it really discouraging that i dont have this option anymore just because it didnt process correctly, and now i am stuck with the 1 month at regular price...

    @Darklords

Now that hellhorses and unicorns are unridable... will we be able to lead 4 or 1 animal on the new servers? (4 allows better roaming)

personally i would dislike people going out with 4 barded backups, just doesnt make sense

however, if you could lead 4 animals and as soon as you enter combat with another player you would drop em, that'd be fine

  3. So here we are, 3 days from release and don't have more info as to how we can reserve a name or how the creation will work.

There are lots of people under the assumption that you can reserve a name by just waiting in the tutorial area, cause the post from @Samoolisn't in any way pinned or anything.

Please give us more info, or at least make this a pinned info in the Steam FAQ.

...The current tutorial area is now at Independence, you won't be able to transfer from there to the new servers. There'll be more details closer to the release regarding the tutorial process, but as is you cannot reserve a character name for the new cluster in any way.

  4. apart from the fact that the old bow skins should have just been updated and not be a lootchest item, since the old bow skins are basically in low poly N64 graphic...

yes, it is quite weird that the longbow looks like a recurve bow and the medium bow like a longbow

but i guess that comes with this game, its just weird

    nontheless, it should be switched

Combat Equipment scaling/curve will be enabled.

are you certain that this is a good decision?

will be confusing if you can't sustain a good skillgain cause of a reason you can't really see

if i understood the scaling wrong, my apologies

but to my understanding a certain item has a hidden ql that is gonna be better than it actually shows, right?

Im pretty sure that not even stacking walls will allow you to go higher than 150

    what makes you think that?

one tile with 150 slope + another one with 150 slope is 300 slope over 2 tiles...

i don't understand the point you are trying to make

  7. wise words from the bringer of death

nonetheless, it all sounds reasonable if you read this when you didn't pvp much in the past

but the reality is different and i think darklords will understand this point cause he himself was in those situations i am sure

there is no "working around" not having horses to pvp with other than sitting on deed and waiting a week until they are rideable / breedable

i'd like to see you guys competing with cows and bulls tho

hell, there could even be a foal stage but rideable like he said in an earlier post, but then it would ruin your immersion i guess

  8. cause pvp...

there is gonna be hundreds of horses laying dead on the floor the first couple of days

need to get backups quick, and fast ones aswell

either way, taking away the foal stage won't force every group to wait for their real commitment

it gives us breeder pairs early on, or earlier than normal rather

  9. that's called using the games mechanics

    let's be real here tho

you can't come up with a scenario that isn't "exploitable", you just need to be creative and can find solutions for any problem

don't overthink it, imo we have a good system on our hands

any more extension of the raid window and it's basically redundant

How about obtaining pvp points for participating in each kill you get on an enemy. Then having a store to spend these points at.

I heard people talking about keeping certain items on death. This store can offer that and much more.

For a certain amount of pvp points you could purchase a piece of armour or weapon (anything) that can not be improved, but can be repaired. It would be kept on death. (maybe tradeable)

You could even add penalties to these items such as no enchants and more!

I think the possibilities are endless if you just think that just about anything can be obtain from it.

It also does not have to be pvp only points, you could add creatures to the list and somehow skilling actions. They would not give anywhere near the amount of points you would get for killing another player.

Example. Killing a Horse will get you 1 point while killing a Player will get you 100 points. Once you have enough points you could buy a 80QL armour piece (or anything else in the store) for 1500 points.

People spend 99% of their time on this game not pvping so these points should be obtained other ways. Its a total remake of the system but things in that store would give incentive to grind towards.

Enchants, affinities, armour, weapon, tool, sleep powder, potions, spells, anything in the game. Maybe you could even sell bulk material at the token for this new pvp currency

    sounds sick dude, except....it doesn't

it would mean that you at some point have a whole gearset you can't lose

apart from that, why would you get these "pvp points" for not actually pvp'ing lol
