  1. I think that card is simply too old. Even if it were to get working it would only make between 2-5 iron per hour. Sorry we can't help you. Integrated graphics cards are not well supported because they are very low performance, and will burn more power than they will produce.
  2. If you are getting that error, then the driver install never worked properly. I helped a friend of mine get this running on some new graphics cards, and I saw your exact same issue. Although it may have been a little bit worse. Every time we tried to install the new ATI drivers, we got the blue screen of death. For some mysterious reason, installing ATI's beta drivers worked, and he can mine now. Try a few different versions of your GPU drivers to see if one of the old ones works. Here's the advanced solution. I don't recommend it as it is a bit dangerous, and could cause a lot of cursing. Go to device manager, find your graphics card, right click it and uninstall the drivers. Reboot. Windows "should" install basic VGA drivers. If you just get a blank screen, and you have a VGA or DVI port on your motherboard, try plugging your monitor into the motherboard. Now go install your graphics card drivers, Reboot.
  3. You will get those file when you update your graphics card drivers. Is that what you did? What card do you have? We don't wanna suffer! We designed the client to be as kind as possible, so it automatically adjusts to only use extra processing power that you aren't using. Unfortunately there isn't a way to change this default behavior, but you can go into that game's graphics options and decrease the quality to the lowest settings, and if they have an fps cap option, set it as low as possible. 1: I'm sorry, but we don't have plans to incorporate that feature. 2: It should, are you having issues with that? The events log in the new client functions a little bit differently than the old one, so it won't notify you, it will just do it silently. I'm really sorry that's happening to you. We know there are issues with the new client which is why we encourage you to use the old client if the new one doesn't work for you. Download here: http://media.coinlab.com/clients/32/wurm-1.0.7.msi
  4. Thanks for following the instructions. I'm not sure what your issue is right now. In the meantime you can still use the old client. Download at http://media.coinlab.com/clients/32/wurm-1.0.7.msi
  5. Coinlabengine.exe is essential. The only reason it would not be running is if it could not communicate with coinlabcompute.exe. When it starts up and cannot communicate, it kills itself after 30 seconds. The most likely cause is Windows firewall. Sometimes Windows Firewall will say that a process is allowed, but only on certain networks. For example, it could be allowed only on a private network and you are connected on a public one. If you are positive there is no Firewall blocking the connections, try these steps: Open up the task manager, and kill coinlabcompute.exe, coinlabengine.exe, coinlabwindow.exe if any of them are running. Uninstall the program. Download the recently updated client from: http://media.coinlab.com/clients/wurm-latest.exe Install and run.
  6. Caellach and Puertorro, Check to see if coinlabcompute.exe, coinlabengine.exe, and coinlabwindow.exe are being blocked by a Windows firewall. If not, do you have another firewall that could be blocking them? Caellach, I'm not sure why opening another regular browser window would cause the window to think that another window is open. The only time that would happen is if you used another browser window to navigate to localhost:9999. The program works by starting a local server hosting at localhost:9999 and the window is a chromeless IE window directed there. Hitting the X on the window to close it does not count as improper shutdown. I'm not sure what would cause the corruption, but I made the fix you suggested and it is live. Your client should update within the hour, or download from http://media.coinlab.com/clients/wurm-latest.exe . The "Did not get credit for work" error is caused by submitting a stale share. Stales happen when you find a share in a piece of work more than 90 seconds old. Could be happening frequently because of a slow / intermittent internet connection, but they are bound to happen to everyone.
  7. The client can't use your resources if it can't connect to the server. What do you mean by "uploads the information". Does it say "connecting to server" in the bottom left hand corner of the client? If you send me your .log file I can help you, instructions are in my previous post. If you can't get this client to work, you are welcome to use the old one if it works for you.
  8. It's on our list. Can you both send me your compute.log files so I can diagnose your issue? My email is bobby@coinlab.com. The file is located in C:/Users/[yourusernamehere]/AppData/Local/Coinlab/uber-compute/compute.log . Note, AppData is a hidden folder.
  9. I'm not sure what your issue is. You mentioned that the installation might have failed once. Could you try reinstalling them, restart your computer, then run our mining client again? I've heard that power prices in Germany can be up to 3 times higher than in the US. If your power is not included with your lease or you like your landlord, we recommend that you just buy Iron directly from Wurm. I forgot to update the link in the email, so I apologize for that. If you are still using the old version, download the new one at http://media.coinlab.com/clients/wurm-latest.exe. Your issues with speed buttons might be caused by having an outdated version of Internet Explorer. Could you try updating it? IE 8 if you have XP, IE 9 if you have Windows 7 or 8. Because it is almost guaranteed that every single Windows computer has IE, we use it to render our interface, so if you haven't updated it in a while, you could be using a very old version.
  10. 32-bit XP should be ok. Which libraries does it say don't exist? Do you get an error message? If so what is the text of that error message?
  11. Does your client look like http://pool.coinlab.com/images/wurm/miner-screenshot.png? If so you are using the latest version. Why would you need to install it on a larger drive? The client is only 4 Mb.
  12. As long as you keep your card under the manufacturers recommended operating temperature for all intents and purposes you should be fine. Those aren't really drivers, but programs designed to run the SETI computing operations. We can't just plug them in. Don't lose hope! It's just a driver issue, I'll help you figure it out. Now, not to put you down, but I just have to ask: have you tried turning it off and on again? If you have and it still doesn't work, here are a couple other questions: Did you get your drivers from the ATI website? Did you run their silly "Card Detection Tool", or did you put in your card model and download the appropriate drivers? If you used their tool, try just downloading the ones specifically for your card as they sometimes don't give you the right ones. When you start our client, do you get Windows error messages that say "Could not find OpenCL.dll", or something like that? If so, then something about your driver installation didn't go properly. If it still doesn't work, can you send your compute.log file to bobby@coinlab.com? You can find it in: C:/Users/[yourusernamegoesherenotthistext]/AppData/Local/Coinlab/wurm-compute/compute.log Ah, the email link. I'll fix that, but just putting it out there... I didn't write that code! I'm sorry that's happening. Are you running the new miner: http://media.coinlab.com/clients/wurm-latest.exe? Unfortunately, CPUs are terrible at mining, and are definitely not power efficient. We don't want you guys to burn electricity for no good reason, so we don't have that in there.
  13. Ah, you have the old client. Download the new one here http://media.coinlab.com/clients/wurm-latest.exe. I'll fix that old link.
  14. I'm not sure exactly what is causing that problem but here's what might fix it: If you haven't changed the settings it is on Fast. Try going into setttings, click on the button to show advanced settings. Set your Idle Intensity to 9 and Active Intensity to no more than 9. If that fixes it please let me know. Try updating your graphics drivers if you haven't done so in a while. We take a percentage of the expected return of each individual's contributed compute power.
  15. I haven't heard of that issue before. Can you give me some more detail? You saw some visible corruption and your mouse disappeared right after the program was run for the first time? How long after starting the program did it take for this to happen? Is your GPU overclocked? Nice setup btw.
  16. We thought users would want to see their earnings in terms of Iron per hour instead of silver per week. 98.77 Iron/Hr = 1.659 Silver/Week.
  17. Yes! All ATI cards are welcome! 5xxx series cards are some of the most power efficient (for bitcoin mining) GPUs out there.
  18. You could set up your computer to use another bitcoin miner like http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/ Go to our homepage http://pool.coinlab.com/partners/wurm and sign up using the name sortin. Point the miner at url: http://pool.coinlab.com:8332 user: wurm_sortin pass: x You won't get the same interface, but you will get iron. Check your stats at http://pool.coinlab.com/partners/wurm/stats. The MH/S rate at the top of the page takes 30 minutes of constant mining to be accurate.
  19. We're sorry, but we don't have any plans to support a Mac version of the client. Almost all macs have either Nvidia cards or low powered mobile versions of ATI cards.
  20. That card could get you around 40 - 50 iron per hour I think the old client was capable of using multiple GPUs, but I'm not completely sure. The new one definitely does. Can you give some more details? When you say old one do you mean the very old client, or a older version of the new client?
  21. Advanced mining intensity settings are out! Your client should auto-update within an hour.
  22. Advanced mining intensity settings will be in the next version of the client (in the next week or two).
  23. We'll let's do some math: I found a datapoint that the 7850 consumes about 150 Watts at load. This means you'll consume 3.6 kilowatt hours of electricity more per 24 hours than you would if your card was not under load. You're earning 150 Iron per hour. This means you're making a total of 3600 Iron per 24 hours. If you value iron at face value (100 iron per 0.01 EUR), then you're at break even if you pay 0.10 EUR per kilowatt hour (~$0.13 USD). If you pay less than this, you're making a profit , and if you pay more, than it would be more efficient to purchase iron directly from Rolf. And 65C - nice ventilation!
