  1. I think that any coin sink that's intended to narrow the gap between new players and old must be purely cosmetic - like item skins from previous months and years.
  2. I understand that you don't want tamed animals to be OP. I get it. No one should be able to wander around with a champion crocodile or whatever and not worry about combat ever again, because a player plus a full strength champ croc is a formidable combination. That's reasonable. But does the wolf have to kill your horse? In a game where we're worried about retaining newbies? Does it really? It seems to me that making tamed animals super weak in combat is more than enough of a penalty without also making them death magnets. So my proposal is simply this. Make hostile creatures attack players only, not pets. Pets are not the enemy. They are just misguided animals, like yourself, and they will return to the true path as soon as you kill the human being that's lured them away with snacks. Thank you for listening to my ted talk.
  3. Use the model for the sheep that's just been shorn, and make it 20% taller. Goats can't be shorn for wool, but grooming will give you a tiny amount.
  4. Perhaps rather than a spell, it could be done with a Rune. This would make it both difficult and expensive, and thus, valuable
  5. Eating a snowball fills up your Water bar, not food. But it seems to be the Food bar that allows you to eat. Example: I'm at 46% Water, 96% Food. I could use some water... but trying to eat a snowball produces the message: [20:18:21] You are so full, you cannot possibly eat anything else.
  6. Blowing my own trumpet again: Marsh house on stilts, and buoys marking a deep water channel.
  7. Arena design using wide staircases for the spectators. Arena sands decorated using skulls (and piles of), scattered armour pieces and weapons, etc.
  8. I suggested a one-use item for sale from a trader that would recover a skin from a skinned item. So obviously I think this is a great idea. I really don't buy the counter-argument that people who "invested" in popular skins would lose out if the skins became available again. Those people can sell now, and make a profit.
  9. Please PM Sheffy in-game to arrange payment and pick-up. Thanks
  10. It's a beautiful day to make some marshland by Mooncat Lake!
  11. I think this is a great suggestion. I do like being able to put chess pieces out on display (rare ones, for example) and not worry about decay, so I do not think making them decay is the answer.
  12. I'm sorry if you got the impression I was upset with you personally. I certainly didn't mean to call you out. I was venting my frustration with the system itself. It's understandable that people make mistakes. What counts, I think is making good and doing the right thing.
  13. Please review the times in your auction thread

Ashlynne's bid was after the end of the auction.

  14. Wait WHAT. I checked this site right as the auction was ending. The timer said it had ended 2 minutes ago, and there were no other bids, and no reason for sniper protection since my bid was yesterday. If there were any other bids, I would certainly have made a higher bid. Ashlynne Posted 2 hours ago. Auction ended 2 hours and 58 minutes ago. I won this auction fair and square.
  15. Unicorns require a significant effort in animal taming to be usable. However, their speed doesn't make them worth riding at present, compared to ordinary horses. I can see a few possible ways to balance this. Make unicorns significantly easier to tame, perhaps allowing people who are "pure" to ride them or tame them easily (purity could be decided based on alignment, or even a stat such as creatures killed). Make unicorns faster than a horse, although not as fast as a hell horse. Hell horses are so annoying that they deserve to be fastest. Make unicorns slightly faster carrying two riders than a horse carrying one. This leaves unicorns with a decent purpose, even if it's just a niche role. Make unicorns significantly tougher in combat, even while tamed, and have them attack the rider's target if possible.
  16. Fix metallic liquid so it doesn't get Dispelled. Seriously, this is expensive stuff and I guarantee that nobody ever wants to Dispel it. Possible fixes include, in order of QoL: When choosing what to dispel, skip over Shatter Protection. Move Shatter Protection to the end of the list of enchantments / runes, so that in practical terms nobody ever casts Dispel on something that only has SProt. Make it too difficult to Dispel, so the cast always fails if SProt is at the head of the list.
  17. I've got 2/3 of a plank made of birch wood, and 1 or 2 fragments made of "wood" that won't combine with it.
  18. Perhaps a re-work of archery such that the short bow is the easiest to use at low Archery skill, then the medium, then the long. We shouldn't get too many complaints from people who've invested time into one or more of the sub-skills, because all we'd be doing is decreasing the miss chance at lower skill. I don't think minimum ranges help the game at all. I mean, you already don't want to have a bow in your hand if something is closing in on you, because it could easily get damaged. I do think that maximum range should increase with the size of the bow, as should potential damage.
  19. This is not a bad idea. They'd need something like a supply bin (think repurposed trash bin) to collect planks, bricks, etc. from, and then they could go about repairing any damaged walls, floors, and so on. For balance, though, I think they'd need an upkeep cost.
  20. I'm reminded of the joke where 3 professors of logic walk into a bar. The bar tender asks, "so... do you three all want a drink?" There's a pause, and then one of the professors says, "I don't know." Another one says, "I don't know." Almost immediately, the third one says, "Yes, we do." If you have three Community Assistants, and you ask a question, you almost certainly don't want to hear two of them saying they don't know before you hear the one that does. This is one of the reasons why we're advised that in general it's not a good idea to say that we don't know. Another CA or a player with specialist knowledge might also be lurking, and might even be typing an answer. Bottom line: there's nothing wrong with asking a follow-up question, e.g. "does anyone know the answer to my question about X?" That's much more likely to get the final answer.
  21. A good friend and a valued member of the dragon hunting team, MKJ was a great spirit who was sadly let down by his RL body. I will treasure the sailing boat he improved for me.
