  1. Ok fixed. I still have no idea where the hundreds upon hundreds of clients came from all at once from opening wurm once but it works now after uninstalling 32bit manually because java uninstalls everything but the one you want it to uninstall.....
  2. PC is not a potato and programs installed are fine. Its definitely not the PC. Before i started crashing constantly with wurm i was able to run 8+ clients of wurm with no problem. Was pretty sure i did but ill try.
  3. So after coming back to wurm after a while i couldn't remember why i quit but after the first 2 or 3 crashes it was pretty apparent. I kept crashing so i assumed oh the game says im running it in 32 bit java maybe if i actually use 64 bit it wont crash every 2 minutes. 64bit made it worse. When i started wurm in 64 bit java nothing appeared to happen except by computer getting really slow and task manager saying 97% of the CPU and 86% of 8 gigs of ram were being used up. Well needless to say i figured out why. I opened task manager and there were HUNDREDS literally HUNDREDS of Java (TM) Web Launcher 32 bit programs open each using some cpu and about 0.7 mbs of ram all adding up to that 97% cpu and 86% ram. Their memory usage slowly increased and eventually hello blue screen of death for memory management. I was able to reproduce this several times and at that point blue screens of death started to get old so i went back to 32 bit java. Good old crashing every 2 minutes wurm with 32 bit java. After all this i have but one word. Help
  4. Week 1 of joint update posts and people are already complaining about the fact that two twin games that are alike in almost every way are being updated on the same post with the same updates that will first hit WO then WU? If you dont like WO's new sister game get over it. Nobodys forcing you to read about it or play it. Its not going away any time soon so if you just like WO read only the parts that are specific to WO.
  5. So ive got an artifact. Waited for the appropriate time to recharge (wrath day or day of awakening during the first or third week of a starfall) went to altar of three. it said [13:38:25] Nothing happens. Maybe you need to try at the other altar? Tried the bone altar andddddd [16:46:53] Nothing happens. Maybe you need to try at the other altar? Help?
  6. still when players respawn they respawn either at their spawn village, a nearby village of their kingdom, or their village, They dont happen to come up and try to get you ever 5 minutes. While i know that NPCs do just roam i was speaking figuratively. Its basically just someone throwing themselves at you again and again. If an npc i cant beat maybe in plate armour or something comes around then my only hope is that the dragon on the mountain comes down and bites his head off, every 5 mintues, For eternity. NPC respawning should be more like player respawning. By all means when i found that guy near the east end of the map and put an axe in his gut for him he shouldve been back at hearth and have to walk back over again not knocking on the portcullis 5 minutes later. Like hav0k said there should be a gap at the very least.
  7. In short without my usual ramblings, NPC named wahlox showed up at my border post and i of course brutally murdered him (cause what else do you do when Mol Rehan people show up at the Jenn-Kellon front door) Then 5 minutes later hes back.....its like um dude your corpse is over there. Shouldnt you kinda be oh i dont know dead? So how the hell does an npc come back to life, and why? I dont need an army of npcs eventually one day showing up at my door and dying before the ballistas and catapaults and the rest of us and then instantaneously coming back to life to continue the fight. Just no. I dont even. Explanation please?
  8. Several of us saw valrei seris and sol in the sky like usual but they shook violently and we all saw the shaking. This happened on xanadu. Had no idea where to put this thread i put it here since it mentioned visual problems. No idea why they we're shaking not an urgent problem or anything just seemed unnatural.
  9. Travel time across Xanadu is becoming increasingly annoying especially since most of us are used to much smaller islands. Sailing along one side of xanadu is like sailing the entire perimeter of one of the 8 by 8 islands and takes precious time that some of us just dont have. i believe sailing from something like deliverence to release takes 4 to 5 hours and most of us work or have school for most of the day and then if we actually wanted to make that trip it would take the rest of the day making it increasingly boring and most players dont consider it worth it to waste their weekend like that either. I would like to put forward several viable alternatives to sailing through xanadu A ) A short cut is found around xanadu! Players are now able to sail from release to exodus (by going south not west) or pristine to independence or something like that. B ) upon coming to the cross-over to xanadu the game gives the player a chance based on their faith and such and prompts the player "(godname) has blessed your journey and has made it possible for you to bypass this island on your journey" yes or no. [i personally like this one because it means players will get into the religion aspect of the game a bit more] C ) Upon coming to the cross-over to xanadu the game randomly chooses whether it wants to prompt the player or not and if so the game says "a spirit has come done from valrei and offers to guide you to the otherside of xanadu. Do you refuse or accept his/her/it's offer?" Please give feedback below and such and etc.
  10. Title says it all. Msg me ingame or on the forums or post here. Amount:2 Server:Release Price:Open to offers (mostly because i forget the price of the powder) Will deliver to anywhere on release, the east side of xanadu, or pristine. Anywhere else mail or pickup is necessary
  11. Ok so i did the first thing and it fixed that specific glitch and then i came up with this ground texture glitch that occurred directly after disabling the gsgl or whatever the heck it was
  12. Im posting this on behalf of a friend who hasn't made an account for the wurm forums yet. The attached picture pretty much explains it but i will elaborate. It clearly depicts a wurm barkeeper with his textures stretched out. Its not just the arms usually its a lot more. i can upload more images if requested to. When mousing over him the blue outline doesnt show the regular outline nor what is scene there but rather something in-between. This happens to all entities in the game or rather creatures. Including horses, players, barkeepers, spirit Templars, and all other manner of animals. At first i assumed a java issue because he was running 32 bit on a 64 bit system. We did change java so that wasnt that.
