  1. The next question is: What will the devs do to bring in more new players to Wurm and retain them, now that the new servers release hype has died down? Lack of advertising for the game is one thing, but in the long term will we ever see a huge influx of new players like in the first week or two again? What can be done to accomplish this again?
  2. Everyone wants to see Wurm succeed, but if the devs don't take any suggestions or measures to improve the game at heart for new players, the Northern Freedom Isles could suffer the same fate as the Southern Freedom Isles.
  3. Maybe if the devs actually cared about Xanadu and getting more new players to settle, they should fixed its major lag issues early on. +1, I agree Melody was mistake, unnecessary small server that is losing players fast. It will eventually end up like Deli, Release, Exo, and Pristine. +1, Remove that sign at the tutorial portal as well.
  4. The Steam release for Wurm Online could have been executed much better. 1.They should have made the initial PVE server 32x32 instead of 16x16 to avoid the early server expansions. 2. The devs could have fixed the difficulty in finding livestock and mobs MUCH sooner, I believe this is partly the cause of new player discouragement for the game. 3. The channeling exploit could have been addressed MUCH sooner as well, but the devs decided to wait 3 WEEKS from the start of the new cluster, to tackle the issue and controversy about it. 4. The devs had a plethora of time to address server lag issues with higher player counts, this issue has been present since Xanadu first came out and they have yet to come to an effective solution for YEARS. 5. This ties in with #1, but the devs split the community WAY too soon. This is my opinion, but I think with our current Northern Freedom Isles PVE population, it would be nice to have everyone on the same server instead of scattered throughout.
  5. Its not looking to good, population growth slowed down a lot.
  6. I’m on the fence about adding more servers. The population growth of the Northern Isles hasn’t been growing much, I’ve been seeing the weekdays total about 750-800 something on PVE servers in niarja, which takes into account alts and unique players. I’m just not sure if splitting the community further like this is the right choice.
  7. They will make more new PVE servers.
  8. +1, maybe flat roofs, dome roofs, cone roofs, gable roofs, etc
  9. Same here, finding animals is much harder for some reason on Harmony.
  10. Same thing in pve for me, the village recruitment board doesn't work properly.
  11. As the title says, give mortar a 100% success rate. I don't understand why mortar doesn't have a 100% success rate like stone bricks, planks, small and large nails, etc.
  12. I mean at least deed over a chunk of the forests surrounding the starter towns so they can regrow over and not make the towns so barren when a new player comes in.
  13. Heartland: https://imgur.com/a/JrzaNIc Harmony Bay: https://imgur.com/a/8RFsY2g
  14. Do something about the starting town deforestation! The amount of trees chopped down doesn't put a good tone for new players of the game. Maybe increase tree spawn rate at the starting town or deed over a portion of the forests? What are some other ways to fix this?
  15. +1 this should be an option now that the steam release is already 1 week in.
  16. When could we expect for the Steam release for Wurm?
  17. BIG +1. Unfortunately something like this would be complicated for them to code and create I bet.
  18. Take a look at the steam charts for Wurm Unlimited: https://steamcharts.com/app/366220 The max average players ever obtained was back in November 2015 at 819 people, it it continued to decline from there until at October 2017, it soared back to 723 and it goes down from there again.
  19. This pretty much sums up the question. I doubt it would gain "thousands of players" imo.
  20. What strikes me about the steam page is that it says it was released in Dec, 12, 2012. This is pretty much a dead giveaway to the people that never heard of wurm, that wurm is an old game and might not even give it a chance just because of that fact. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1179680/Wurm_Online/
  21. There are a couple of things that come to mind. Large saddles, puppets, and all the traps are pretty much useless in wurm.
  22. It would give them one more reason to be premium in wurm steam at least?
  23. I think small carts and large carts should have further tweaks. Currently new players have no reason to make a small cart since large carts can do the same thing and be dragged similarly, in addition to being able to hitch horses to it. Maybe make a requirement to drag large carts at 23 body str? Set a requirement to create at large cart at lvl 21 Fine Carpentry? Let me know what you guys think.
