  1. PS. I have reset link above with full viewing permissions for everyone, so please try it again and let me know if you see any horses you would like. Just to let you know that most all the for sale horses on my farm atm are foals or near foals, however there are still a couple 1&2 good trait mares still available that are good for newbie cart pulling and starting your AH career. Remember if you are just starting out your AH career, Please ask me. I may have some horses available to donate to you for free.
  2. NEED to CLOSE this THREAD NOW I want to Thank all those who have participated in this free horse exchange with me. I have learned some valuable things I still do have free horses to give for those just starting out in the game, but if you want my rejects for meat or meat breading there will be a slight charge from now on. I have posted in the want to sell in Freedom Market thread and I will update that thread from now on... Thank you, Aetherwalker, Mazael, and Trimm for being patient with me and allowing me to experiment on you in this way. I do hope I have been able to help you further your AH goals. I want to appologize to Validus that I was unable to deliver the horses he requested due to getting lost in the forests of northeast Deli. I do still have some good meat horses (three of them) that I will give you for free if you want to come get them or if you will meet me at say Kingsport on NIghtmare lake to pick up. Otherwise the free horse offer is closed for now. It is fun to make new friends. Thanks for all the good hearted teasing on Kchat to help get my feet wet. ) See you all out there. Keeping it Virtual, Evaness
  3. Updated info-06/15/2012 I have recently concluded my free horse give away experiment and learned alot about what is possible and what is not possible for me to offer to potential customers. Here is the first of many offerings for sale of my horses. I can deliver to Deliverence anywhere along the coastline, however inland can not be delivered to except at GreenDog, Deliverence Market, or the Nightmare Lake region up to Sloppy Hollow. However, if you are willing to give me blow by blow directions via pm, I would be willing to coordinate a delivery with you. My map coordinates are- 25y 30x Let's talk. My goal as a breeder is to be able to soon offer consistantly high quality 5 speeds, and 5hunting/speed animals. The hunting traits are the same as war traits, but since we don't have war on Deliverence I call them hunting traits. Please check back often as I will update my for sale offerings every few weeks. Go to this link to see my horses for sale. Happy Shopping. https://docs.google....c1R0d0FtczFMNEE Evaness/Horse Trader 06/15/2012-Met Menakoy today from the north end of the island and with his help found a great travel route from Port Saragossa from where we hail to a great place along the Echo Lake where he met me to pick them up..Everything went incredibly smoothly due to all the gaurd towers along the road. A lot of heavy duty spawn over there, but only got a few bruises and no lost horses. Thanks for the mention below Menakoy. It was wonderful doing business with you. As of now, I have updated my google doc, link above. I have added many more horses, both foal and adolescent along with a few mature, old and aged. I have set my pricing structure a step or two down from what it was so you will get more bang for your buck... Here's to looking forward to meeting all you new breeders out there.
  4. I love your spread Sheet!! Let me browse......)
  5. Trimm, if you are still interested in getting the rest of the horses, I did find the one that I lost along the way. Let me know.
  6. Thank you for your vote of confidence, Brash. I have gotten to share my free AH horses with a couple worthy newbies so far. However, I have run into alot of trouble trying to deliver them at much of a distance due to I am nearly a newbie myself and have not explored the far reaches of the island and I get lost overland. I am learning how to transport horses. ) I have a couple takers who only wanted the horses for meat. However, I feel that I will want to limit my free sharing to only those just starting out with AH. Otherwise I believe I should charge for meat horses and not deliver. How would others feel about that I wonder?
  7. Thank you Brash for correcting me (as I knew someone would) Since you, Brash are the one who did, are you perchance on Deliverence server, and could I grace your pastures with any of my horses. nice to meet you btw
  8. I have just read an aswer to another post from me on this chanel about animals being able to cross server lines, and thank you Pong...I guess my promise to deliver to other servers by boat is NOT POSSIBLE!! Now this post must contain an appeal to the devs to create the ability for us to either carry animals onboard certain boats(or any boat) or allow those animals who can already swim to cross server lines. With that said.... AS IT STANDS now I will deliver up to three horse by land to anywhere on Deliverence server. )
  9. Hello, I am a premium player on Deliverence server and I don't want to scale back my breeding frequency or quantity. But I have a solution to the server cap on spawned animals that doesn't require this. I will give my good but no longer useful for me animals away for free. I have passed level 50 in my Animal Husbandry and wish to share for free the wealth of horses I have that are not usable in my current breeding program. Ever since I started my breeding program I have actively culled the horses with detrimental traits. This is a good thing not only for my breeding program but also for your future breeding program if you come and take some of these horses for your own. The horses I offer for free all have good or non-detrimental traits. The traits I have bred for are mostly speed and hunting traits so these horses have either one or two positive traits or three or four speed and hunting traits. They will be excellent horses for any beginner to start with. I am now including both males and females in this offer... admittedly more males than females... But if you want to get a breeding pair and I don't currently have a female available for free...I will make you a good deal on any of my females. If you are interested in having any of these horses please IRC me (I believe that is the way to communicate privately in this new system) or say hi with a PM to me if you see me online. I will do my best to watch for PMs I promise. But if I don't see your PM, Please PM one of my friends to help contact me......Wintersolstice, Rudie, Bilbador, Insinity, Maxxman, JudusX, or my husband Crovak (tho he is not on alot anymore), or even Jesslynn. My deed is called Saragossa Farms and is not on the map yet, but is right next to Port Saragossa between there and Mottistone on the Deliverence updated map. Crovak, who owns Port Saragossa and the boat building dock, is my husband and we run these two deeds together. I would love to hear from you and will actively try to get my free horses to you even if you are on a different server if I can. I believe horses will swim and I have a boat. I hope I will merrit a correction if this is impossible. ) Looking forward to all you newbie AH people. Sincerely, Evaness
  10. New AH Math

I am paraphrasing the mathematical explanation of how traits are passed from the original post found here [u]http://wurmonline.com/forum/index.php?topic=55489.0. there is also a link to this post in the wurm wiki found here http://www.wurmonline.com/wiki/index.php?title=Animal_husbandry My purpose in starting this new thread is to get help in better understanding how to use this math in a practical way to better predict breeding outcoms. I had a question about the fact that the final answer to the problem is to be rounded up. Of course you round up if you get a number higher than your AHlevel but what if you end up with a fraction like 2/5 or 3/5's. Do you round up to one then? and if the answer is 11/5 reduced to 21/5, would that be rounded up to three? IE. Female traits =(4 x3=12) + male traits = (5x2=10)=22-Breeder's points-30= 8/5=13/5, do you round this up to 2?
  11. Would ask my alliance but game is down
  12. I'm with Wraithglow on this one.
  13. New AH Math

[This is a very important question as it means do I have a 1:41 chance of getting a bad trait or do I have a 2:41 chance for example.] To correct this statement from the above 1 additional slot to fill = 14% chance for a bad trait (or one that I would cull an animal for or use Genesis on) and 2 additional slots would be 28% chance etc. I guess I need some more eyes on these calcs with me to see if I am thinking correctly and rounding up correctly. Please help.
  14. New AH Math

Ok, I would like to continue the new AH system discussion here... (I got chastised last time for reviving the old thread). The new system trait allocation formula is this a three step math problem: 1. Breeder AH level = breeder level cap(blc)- AH 10=2traits, 20=3traits...up to 80=8traits. blc x 6 = total number of breeder points (bp) 2. Trait pool= Sum of all parental traits; (mother- 3points each trait) + (father- 2points each trait) (reinforced traits, each trait shared by both mother and father, - 5points each)= sum of parental trait(spt) bp-spt=difference divided by blc rounded up = additional number of trait slots to be filled with randomly rolled traits from entire possible trait pool found on Wikipedia under Animal Husbandry, which is then added to the parental total trait pool. 3. Each trait slot is then rolled for in succession from the total trait pool with the chance to keep getting higher and higher with each roll. Each time a trait is picked from the trait pool, that many points is removed from the entire pool until there is only one trait left for the last slot. ( see original suggestion post: http://wurmonline.com/forum/index.php?topic=55489.0 ) This would help me plan my breedings fairly well except for the fact that it was not explained very well what rounding up means. When there is an even number it is easy to tell when the rounding up would take place, however with uneven numbers like 5 would the rounding take place on 3 and up or only on 4? This is a very important question as it means do I have a 1:41 chance of getting a bad trait or do I have a 2:41 chance for example.
