  1. Are you confined to the city itself or are you willing to venture out of it? And how far would you go if you did? May have some recommendations dependent on your answer.

Also, I bet it'll rain on you. Bring a cagoule.

  2. I didn't, but now I sort of do, though I've reached a stage where I can't seem to be able to level up any more skills, and I've walked all the way across the map from Boston ^^'

There are 3 intro videos on the Paradox youtube account, but the guy's voice annoyed me. Maybe it'll help :P

  3. You can pretty much solo everything other than HEROIC quests and Flashpoints. Earlier on in the game, when I was surrounded by everyone else who was starting out, I interacted and grouped up with other people on a pretty regular basis. Forming groups has it's incentives, most notably increased EXP gain - and of course you'll find some of the tougher enemies easier to take down, though as long as your companion complements your class and play style this shouldn't be too much of a problem in the first place.

If you want to play solo, there's nothing to stop you. I haven't done any multiplayer missions in a while, since on the later planets there are fewer players. I imagine the populations will even out in time though. Hub worlds and fleets are almost always busy though, as are the starter worlds. I haven't been visiting too many of the places I've been to before, but on the planets I dawdle on, I can see the population rising between 10 and 20 per day.

  4. Oh wow, since the game went live, the queues for my server has grown ridiculous - 387 people and it's not even peak time! :L It'll be ridiculous this evening. It would be nice if they could let us transfer characters between servers of the same type. I don't want to have to wait half an hour to get in to my server.

  5. Okay, so at the end of Early access I'm a Level 27 Jedi sage currently trying not to die on Alderaan. After about level 25, I found it to be a bit of a grind, though some of the sidequests manage to alleviate this. Especially the Republic embassy one on Tantooine. I just found it so much fun :D

I finally figured out how to get to the Warzones just before I logged off, so I imagine I will be spending quite some time there starting tomorrow.

  6. Trask Ulgo - RP/PVE - Republic

    Gwitheth

Enjoying it a lot so far; just finishing up on Tython at L10 - can't wait to get to the advanced classes, but I want to be thorough.

I'm not sure I like some of the choices the developers have made with gameplay, but I have no complaints for the story. Playing as a Jedi Consular currently, and I'll probably make a Smuggler once I finish with this - I was almost converted by the intro video. Space cowboys :o

  7. Really wouldn't recommend gutting your Xbox 360 while it's still under warranty - they have a tendency to break when you're in the middle of playing Skyrim  ::)

  8. That's how I do it too; also, Halted stream camp has 15 iron ore veins, and the mine at Stonehills has 4 but it's small and well lit so you can find what you want nice and quickly.

  9. Quicksilver and Iron can be mined in Dawnstar, but those are pretty obvious. Gloombound Mine is probably my favourite one I've found; the orcs tell you to get out but don't actually do anything, and since it contains both ebony and iron it's pretty useful.

  10. My biggest complaint about the game is the font size. It's practically unreadable on smaller screens; my TV isn't very large, though I could move downstairs and play it on the widescreen, but I don't think my family would appreciate it :P

Yeah, pretty normal, surprisingly. Not that I think this is particularly accurate.

  12. Pretty much what Othob said, though I've already decided to charge through the main quest, then pick up the Civil War storyline on the Imperial Side. Then I'll either carry on with this character for the faction quests, or create a new one for smithing and other such things.

I'm not sure I'll be finished with this before SW:ToR is released.  :-\

  13. This girl I know was reading a manga called Shugo Chara. I leafed through it for a bit, and, perhaps it's because it was volume two, I had no clue what was going on. There was A LOT of special floaty whatsahoosits and girly paraphernalia. I was quite lost lol.

I tried watching the anime a while back, and that's all I got from episode 1. I think it's just like that :L

Just finished reading 20th Century Boys - if the whole series had been as good as the last 40 or so chapters, it would have been amazing, but even so, finishing it gave me a very satisfied feeling for some reason.

  14. Yay, new server!

I hope Rolf might consider the suggestions that were posted in this thread, even if they're not quite to do with the thread title :P It is a server layout I would be interested in, and while it's not dissimilar from what Rolf tried before, it's the method of implementation which should make the difference ;)

In regards to Exodus, I half agree with the people it's saying that it's too soon, but it sounds like it would be catered towards a particular kind of players who enjoy the PVE aspects of the game rather than the PVP or the Terraforming aspects - players who are generally already well established. If this is the case, then I can't see many newbies heading over. Hopefully Rolf will give them a choice of servers to spawn on, which a suitable description given before entering the portal.
