Ok, I log on this morning to find my young wild cat missing after leaving it a friends hosue over night. It went offline with me so I'm assuming this is a glitch. I think it may still be around since my wild pig 'Sniffs the air and looks too nervous to focus when I tried taming it to see wether the deed guards could take care of the wildcat, since she would go back to her wild state soon anyway, unless she got fed.
