  1. In my opinion, there should be a way to remove reinforcements in some way. Especially that reinforcing a tile takes just few seconds. Not saying that it should be easy, could be very tedious but should be possible. Casting disintegrate for 100 times or deeding, to remove just one wall is too much.
  2. Epic is also incredibly stable few last years.
  3. On Epic, lately, I also had feeling that fog is much weaker, but one day I logged in and fog was so dense that I almost havn't seen anything through the window.

Yes, skill transfer alone won't save Epic, but in my opinion it's necessary move to make anything vialable, unless there will be some massive overhaul that gonna attract players, despite isolation from other clusters. I doubt, any serious freedomer gonna invest time on Epic, when he gonna know that skills earned there won't pass back to freedom. At least, if there will be no overhaul, skill transfer will allow anyone to try Epic. If 1% of them would stay, then still better then what we have now.

  8. There is no need for more arguments. And no panic or "no changes" attitude as you assumed so quickly. It's just existing solution, I believe sufficient to prevent disband of the deed. You are searching rather for solution to prevent disband and overtake of deed.

  10. Like I said, you just add to upkeep. Let's say deed got 10 villagers and the mayor is gone for some reason and it's gonna disband. You can make a brainstorm with other villagers and: - leave the deed, taking all your stuff, towards the setting sun - or collectively pay for 1 month in advance, in hope that he will return - or do nothing, with risk that you probably gonna need to bash through the fences to even try to leave this deed, after disband Let's say villagers choose second option and after another month still no mayor. Just go back to first step. None is forcing anyone to stay. Mayor gets the benefit of everybody's time and money only if you let him too. Mayor is not entitled to anything, it's his deed and you choose to live in it, without any guarantee that he won't dissapear, that he won't bash your house and take your stuff or that he just throw you out of the deed. As for location, it is his as long as he pays for it, BUT normally when deed disbands, there are still houses with permissions left, so none is able to deed area until houses are gone (on pvp you can bash those or catapult). That's mechanics of this game. If players were meant to take over deed, just when upkeep is gone, they would automatically had access to all the houses and things couse of mayor privileges. Not to mention about skipping deed funding cost and cost of all the infrastructure.
  11. I bet that people who would like to see any future of Epic, see it rather as a place where you can have fun and "live", not the testing ground. What % of people would bother to test features? Wurm populations is already very small. For test, there could be always some separate test server, no need to change Epic into it, like it would free some resources. The same thing to people that wants to delete Epic for no specific reason. Maybe they just want to close some chapter, couse they left Epic and have no intention going back? Maybe some people just don't like pvp side of the game? Or maybe they just afraid of maintenance cost that could be put somewhere else. Few existing pros to play on Epic: - epic skill curve - faster start for new players - faster actions - good for everyone but great for new players, couse in many Steam reviews people complain, that doing any simple activity just takes too much time - plenty of space on each server - plenty of mobs on each server - logic skilling, not wogic one - you just use your best tools while doing things, not 1ql ones - home servers are quite safe couse of combat rating reduction for enemies - Valrei system with prizes (this needs to be reworked tho, currently additional rewards, except main reward, are rather not exciting for most people to bother) - something I call self-controlling community. There are no artificial rules forced by game itself, community set it's own rules, and if there's a pest, that steals from you or messing with your area, people can take actions in their own hands , instead of crying on global or bothering GM's about that. As for new incentives? We can suggest some, people already suggested few. Thing is, no matter what it will be, I bet that sooner or later, freedom players gonna want those too, like was in the past.

  16. Darnok, you are making tons of suggestions. I wonder, how do you estimate chances of implementing those suggestions. Do you think that devs gonna implement most of them or maybe just one of them? Or maybe they gonna choose from tons of other players suggestions, that were wrote over the years? What are the chances? Or maybe you just like to post anything and defend those ideas till death, for the sake of arguing? Good luck.

  18. Yeah, thought about that and couldn't decide about a solution. If it's easy from the programming point, it would be nice to despawn them too and set data in database, so they could return. If not, I guess it would just be unhitched.
  19. There were already many topics about vehicles/ships cluttering the servers. Many people do not want increased decay for abandoned vehicles/ships neither ability to lockpick them after some time, couse they afraid that if they come back to game after a few months, it will be gone. On the other hand, many people do not want tons of those cluttering many places, especially starter towns. Those two matters can be combined. Void mechanic (PVE only): - player is inactive for some time (let it be 3 months or any set time) - his vehicle/ship is off-deed or in starter town in that time - given period of time passes -> vehicle/ship goes into void, thus being removed from server and left in database (with everything inside) - when player logs in and tries to manage this vehicle/ship, he gets message like "Due to your inactivity, your vehicle/ship went into void. Do You wish to summon it right now?" - when player click yes, it will spawn at his current location It's only for PVE and hard to abuse, couse it needs a long time to despawn the vehicle into void.
  20. Skin is nice, but for me it does not fit for battle staff, rather for mage staff, so you can cast some spells. I really do not see striking with end shaped like a figurine of dragon.
