  1. Playing around with the Super Rewards screen, there's a 70,000 irons (7s) for $10 US through Google Checkout. $10 US is currently equal to 7.56 Euros, so there's a markup of 0.56 Euro there, but it's hardly the "double" that TorakTu was complaining about.
  2. While I've never had a problem with using PayPal, it wouldn't hurt to investigate other payment methods such as Google if possible. Having setup a few small business websites I can say though that one of the reasons PayPal is so popular is that they don't try to extort a huge fee off each transaction like a lot of bank credit processing gateways. If the Super Rewards system is double the cost then it's because their processing fees, not something Rolf can really change.

  5. I don't know if you've ever noticed, but about every MMO that's ever been successful has exceedingly large quantities of player customizations. Second Life's economy is probably 90% clothes related.
  6. Staircases aren't finished yet, the ladders are temporary until stairs work, or maybe as an alternative.

  12. While I applaud the idea of more styles of wooden fences to compare against the stone options, this design is shite and should be thrown out. How about a nice picket fence like this Or a fancy stone & wood fence? We want decorative items that improve our homes, not make them look like trailer trash havens!
  13. I really don't get your attitude about this. You're upset that Wurm requires a rather small €5 a month payment while saying how LoL seduced you into paying much more and being happy about it. Personally I like having a single expense, declared before you get committed to a game instead of the $1 here or $5 there nonsense.
  14. Wurm also doesn't have the "Pay $50 for the sword of awesomeness you need to complete this quest or keep grinding for 6 months for free" nonsense that a lot of F2P games do. All in all, Wurm keeps the money drain on a tight leash compared to the majority of F2P games.

  18. Remove the breeding mechanic entirely. Create craftable horse barn, cow barn, chicken coop, pig pen. Works similar to guard towers in that higher ql spawns more animals, up to 5, and respawns them after death. Limit respawns to the normal average birth time (5 or so RL days) but always spawn at Mature age. Better than 50ql gives attributes to the spawned animals, strong legs, fleeter movement, more milk/meat. Limit them to be no closer than 4-5 tiles from each other. This would remove a lot of the animal crowding problems, while ensuring that new players can easily access domestic animals for hides & meat. Taming would still work for *wild* animals such as deer, buffalo, wolfs & bears. Without being breedable, they will be harder to hoard as well.
  19. Create an Altar of Three or add NPC Priests for each god at the starter towns on PvE servers for easy conversions. Add an actual town/castle to the server starter areas, with NPC's that can teach skills/concepts to noobs that aren't covered by the tutorial, but that are voluntary. Change traders & merchants to always be able to make change on transactions. Remove useless craftable items like pliers, spoons & forks from the game. Add priest craftable potions for healing or buffs. Add more brewable beverages. Give us ale already! Let us turn fruit juices into fruit wines. Add coal veins as a mineable tile. Split off bladed tools (carving knifes, sickles, awls) from the Weapon Smithing skill and lump them with basic Blacksmithing. Enable seasonal random crop damage that lowers yield, ie. frost in the winter months, flooding/rain damage in spring, drought in summer. Increase the chances of an unsupported mine tile collapsing, double that for mine entrances. Re-evaluate underutilized skills, such as Pottery and Toys. Add more craftables (clay lamps, baked clay bricks, etc.) or retire them.

  22. I could see an app that had a lot of tools to help, such as a Wurm calendar with notifications of harvest seasons. Building/crafting calculators, wiki interface, mapping, breeding charts, etc. There are plenty of places where an app could be useful for helping manage Wurm.
