  6. Animal sounds should come from actual animals that inhabit the wurm world, this would be good for hunting! lol, just noticed separate thread for this already. My bad.
  7. The reason I'm asking is I've trained using the soup method listed on the wiki. I'm currently up to 18 taming, but the gain seems to be getting a little thin on the ground now.

  9. Why not have many randomly generated artifacts that give the owner various bonuses as long as the item is in their inventory. The artifacts could be mined like gems or found when digging or foraging and also they should be low quality and subject to decay so the bonus would only be temporary. Example: "You find an old rusty arrow. You are possessed by a spirit" Then this artifact would give you a Archery bonus for instance.

Ok, I'm not very skilled at lock making so when I want to make a good ql lock it means I have to use around 20 times the amount of required iron to make a lock because of failure or the creation of a low ql lock. As a result of this I have maybe a couple of hundred surplus locks (that decay very slowly :-\) laying around that are just clogging up the database and causing lag. My suggestion is that you introduce a 'scrap' option to glowing items, this way I can turn all my unwanted metal objects into useful things like nails or deadly arrow heads. To make it safe so you don't accidentally scrap your prize sword or something, when the item is glowing you should have to activate and use with a large anvil to get a 'scrap' option.

  13. This game is a wonderful creation, I think selling the game to a big corporate company would result in a total destruction of all its charms. Out of all the games I have played in the 1/4 century I've existed on god's green earth, this is the only game I keep coming back to. Edit: oh, and conquer club, also not your average online game and has been contributed to by the peeps who play and love the game. http://www.conquerclub.com/public.php?mode=home I was introduced to the game through a work colleague in the I.T dept. He is your typical I.T buff and understands the game mechanics and how to read/write the script that makes it work and all the other jargon that goes with it, servers....databases....blah,blah,blah. Me personally, I have no understanding of this side of things as you may well have guessed by what I just wrote! Meh. I find this game very relaxing after a long day at work. My job is particularly stressful and their is always a great amount of pressure and expectation on my shoulders. So for me the prospect of a load of adolescent tyrants tearing up the place and giving me grief would utterly destroy what makes this game so good (not that I think they would be able to grind it out and enjoy the fulness and completeness of the game, they would probably just buy fighting account from some online monopolist so they can grief each other and everyone else) Anyway, I just wanted to express appreciation for the guys who keep this game functioning and the wonderful community it has generated who's company I enjoy as I peacefully go about my existence on wurm.   15. New Skill : Fish Farming How about you build a fishery, same principle as the net only you wall off so many tiles of a certain depth (Limit the number of tiles). Then you have to feed the fish, with say wemp seed or others to get heavier fish. On top of that you could also incorporate the dredge and have to dredge the fishery every day (like farming) or the tiles go stagnant and kill all the fish.The number of fish your fishery can yield could be based on your skill, the same way as farming is. ================================================= Should fall under the current fishing skill As far as sea fishing goes, why not have a separate sea fishing rod ( just bigger better faster stronger than the ordinary rod) this way would be better than nets and stop ppl mass fishing. Larger and rarer fish should be caught at sea and you should be able to butcher them like you can basic animals on land for gut and entrails for alchemy.

  18. Ok, I'm not the most computer literate of ppl, so there may be a lot of useless info posted here. All you tech heads feel free to laugh at me, but please don't hesitate to post a possible solution if your up to the task So, my problem is I've just started playing wurm again over the last couple of months and every so often, the game seems to crash but not crash. Let me explain, its like supper lag but I can still move around just nothing refreshes and I can't perform any tasks or pass any fences. This happens about every 3 hours if I don't come into contact with other players on the server and happens once an hour if I do come into contact with other players on the server ??? In order to resolve this I have to close wurm and power down my PC for 5 minutes then power up and log back on, if I just restart my PC then the same thing will happen within 10 minutes. Resulting in a very disgruntled me > Due to progressions at work I needed to sort my PC out to aid me to work from home on the odd occasion. So in a effort to clean up my PC and speed up my work I backed up essential files (like map dumps hehehe ;D) and reinstalled windows, clearing out all the non essential rubbish I'd downloaded and installed over the years that were clogging the arteries of my PC. After installing windows I installed all the latest drivers for any hardware and downloaded the latest essential software. : Now, here is some info on my PC : System Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2 Computer AMD Athlon 64 Processor 4000+ 2.4GHz , 2.00GB of RAM Radeon X1800 Series Physical Address Extention Others (that may be relevant or not :) Marvell Yukon 88E8053 PCI-E Ethernet Controller ATI Cross Fire Xpress 3200 mother board 300GB disk drive total size (partitioned into 3 drives, 1@19.5GB, 2@139GB) Any help solving this issue will be greatly appreciated 8)
  19. I found it changed whilst doing some carpentry, but only if I shrank my inventory window down to a few items. Haven't tried with more than six items in my inventory window as that was all I using at the time.
