  1. Improved coding could help here, a few rows of data in a table means nothing for a database today. It's is how you handle said data that will slow you down. Like having to reload every single bsb with in the characters full range every single time, when you can just load 1 active at a time, or having 100 nails in your inventory(DB) instead of making 1 single box of nails. --- At the start of this thread there was a reference to mindcraft, some block telling the OP to go play mindcraft or some such thing. Anyway it should be added that MineCraft seeks to improve and enable its players, where in wurm you are punished and effeciantly disabled when you just want to build and craft by repetative work and decay.
  2. Wox did put everyone in one exaggerated box, so your insightful reply ? Anyway, back when i played client lag was directly related to how many players where in local including my own alts or transferring items around. Basicly lag could be genereated by dumping, say a 100 items in to a bsb, or moving characters in to local. To me this sounds like communications bottle necks between client <-> server <-> client where the client(s) and/or server get out of sync (teleporting anyone). Another strange symptom I noted long ago was that when I played wurm i could not stream movies from my nas box, even thou there seems to be no traffic going on on the LAN. but this was back when there was only indy, still the point remains, that the network frame work is doing something silly. oh this only happed when wurm was running.

  6. supreme and fantastic are already very hard to make, so +3% on 0 or near 0 chance is still 0. Unless is a flat +3% on top in which case wurm coding/RNG will spam 100's of fantastic per hour

  10. It has to be all or nothing, if i sell 1 or 2 i will be left with a shell of what was. But if i sell it all i can move on, be that out of the game or some where else smaller

With the new prices I will become over committed and pay more then I'm willing to spend on on line gaming, leaving me with 3 choices: 1 pay more anyway, 2 reduce deeds and there by what i like to do in wurm (terraform), 3 cash out.   12. yeah, was mostly in response the "you dont need a deed to play", and since the web site says you can play for free with limited skills, the base cost is 0.

Monthly cost of playing wurm: 0€ (base cost) Monthly cost of playing wurm with premium: 8€ Monthly cost of playing wurm with premium + upkeep: 8 + n€ Personally, when i started playing I looked at what it would cost me to play wurm 5€ for the premium time and 5€ upkeep making MY base cost 10€, well below the average 15€. There for in my books, base cost is prem+upkeep, and my books don't really care what wurm accounting thinks edit: hmm it would apperar wurm have 3 base prices depending on what play style a player chooses
