  1. I tried those before, thanks Brash. But update: I fixed it! Our computers had the same IP and that was causing some problem. They still have the same one, but when I reset the router it was fixed. I suspect that we may still have a problem with it in the future, and that resetting it would fix the problem again.   2. bump I tried a bunch more stuff and none of it did anything. I changed the DNS server among other things, nothing. Please help!
  3. We have 2 computers connected to the same network, trying to run wurm. Mine is windows 7 and wurm runs, his is windows 8 and it won't connect. Here's the log. Fo Services for Sale Mailbox Enchants: 30+ power: 1s, 50+ power: 2s, 70+ power: 3s (cost includes travel) You pay for the minimum cast you want on the mailbox and I keep casting until that happens. There is no extra charge if it casts higher. Enchanted Grass: 20c for travel then 1s per tile. It takes 18 hours for the cast to recharge, so I will need to camp out if you need more than one tile. Wild Growth: 20c for travel then 10c per cast Note: It takes many casts to raise a tree to fully overgrown. Each cast raises the tree one level. There are maybe 5 levels between each growth stage, but sometimes a tree will randomly grow a level before the next cast. Genesis: 20c for travel, then 50c per cast, (1 cast available every half hour) Genesis rids a horse of 1 random, negative trait. Negative traits include: (From Wurmpedia) "It has malformed hindlegs."   13. This isn't that big of a deal, it's just been bothering me. When links are posted in a chat, I used to be able to do the "open in browser" thing. It does not work now, no idea why. I had Java 7 installed a bit ago, then switched to Java 6 so it would crash less, I had the issue during both. I'd appreciate any help or ideas

  15. I can see! I couldn't find anything in my control pannel that said "extreme," unless you meant turning stuff all the way up or down. But while I was looking, I did find this option: "Reactivate AMD Color Controls," and when I clicked it I could see! Thanks for the advice about contrast and brightness too, that helped it get even better Also, you'll notice that it says a third party has taken over color control. I tested this, and it was Wurm that was doing it, not anything else. Just in case anyone wants or needs to see it, this is what I clicked on in Catalyst Control Center:
  16. Yeah, in that area there's just an audio icon that says "headphones 37%" when headphones are plugged in, and "speakers 47%" when they're not. I've gone through every menu available left or right clicking that icon, and all the other windows audio settings that I could find, and nothing I could do did anything I don't seem to have realtek, also.
  17. Thank you for your ideas, but they did not work. I messed with Gamma, Brightness, and all the other settings I could see in the control pannel. I have been playing Wurm for over 2 years with this monitor and have "survived" just fine. As for Wurm's nocturnal darkness and the "survival experience," you do not seem to understand what I mean about seeing nothing. Here is a graphic of what I see at night or in a cave with no lanterns or lamps in Wurm - minus the GUI:
  18. I've searched for a while, and I can't find my audio card driver settings, or "front panel jack detection" anywhere. I went through all the windows driver options and don't see anything like that. If I open the device manager, I only have the option to "view driver details." I can't figure out how to get into it's settings
  19. I've had this problem since I first played wurm and my computer savvy friends told me to try a few things, none of which worked, and then assumed it could not be fixed. It recently occurred to me to search the technical forum, and when I found nothing, to post in it. At night in Wurm I cannot see anything. Unless there are light sources around, everything is completely black. I can't sail anywhere at night for this reason, and get lost on land easily too I have Windows 7, this happens on stable or unstable, and an ATI graphics card with catalyst control center installed. I tried messing with settings on the control center in the past I believe, but nothing made a difference either way.
