  1. I'm running wurm on integrated graphics on an 8th gen i7 just fine, with decently high settings and far render distances. (Just no shadows/reflections) Depending on your age and other uses for the laptop, it might be better to go for a less 'gamer' looking laptop. If you plan on keeping it a few years, you might want to bring it places you don't want to be seen as a 'gamer'. E.g. I've used this laptop for presentations and at job interviews, something I wasn't even aware I would be using it for when I purchased it. Don't forget about the greatly increased weight and reduced battery life associated with a dedicated GPU either. If you're carrying your laptop around, it's something to consider. Extra laptop weight + potentially having to carry the power brick too quickly stops being fun.
  2. Still have 2k stone bricks for sale, 1s/1k. Mostly interested in silver or sleep powder for them.
  3. With the removal of a system like this, there are always going to be people near the cutoff who miss out by a few days. I'm going to miss out by more than that, but if they date gets pushed back and back, it'll just be different people who get hit by it. It's unfortunate you're so close and wont make it, but they've decided to remove something and that's pretty much that. Could have made the time requirement longer (6 month / 1 year prem) or made the tomes non-transferable to avoid alt-abuse (if that is the reason why they've decided to remove it after so long). Let's just hope the new journal system has some good rewards at the end. Sleep Bonus and a title is nice for the early stages of it and the tasks are scaled better so at least there's that.
  4. *2k bricks sold, 2k left to sell* *All 4k bricks have been sold* I have 2k Stone Bricks for sale at Haven's Landing. Unfortunately I can't deliver due to my inability to command a large ship, so can only sell as pickup. I would primarily like silver for the bricks, however I am open to barter offers. In the case of barter, I would like Sleep Powder, highly enchanted tools/weapons or blank/enchanted rare tools/weapons. You can either contact me here or in-game as Ferriss.
  5. That's probably true Ayes and if it's lower everything to 21 or nothing, I would agree with you
  6. I actually like this approach. Instead of all items being 23 Body Str, maybe stagger and spread them out, depending on weight/size much like how carry weight works. A small crate would be loadable at lower body str than a large one etc. Even the ability to load an empty small crate, before a full small crate would be a huge benefit, but would come with the drawback that you would still have to empty and move the contents manually until strong enough to load the full crate in one go. That still gives players goals to work towards, but rewards them along the way.
  7. I would like to be able to offer more than just bulk goods to established players...I have no idea what that would be however. As Nioras says, the mailbox and wagoneer are good additions. The issue only really lies on the sell side of the economy, I can buy just about whatever I need/want, quite easily and quickly assuming I have the silver to do so. Seems the main 'problem' is more sellers than buyers right now. This has actually proven to be a benefit to me, as it means cheaper prices and more choice of sellers. I can see how it may negatively impact those wishing to sell their services and goods however.
  8. As someone struggling with this currently, I would enjoy the lowered requirement. With 72 hours play time, I'm sitting on 20.66 Body Strength. Considering we start at 19.50, that's +1 point in 72 hours...assuming that rate continues (which it wont), that would be another 150+ hours gameplay for a total of over 200 just to unlock the ability to load items. 200 hours is 2-3 months for most who can only play 2-3 hours a day. Granted, I haven't been grinding purely BS skills, but I have been skilling most of those hours, without much afking or travel. I would consider my activities to have been more grind-focused than an actual new player's experience, so their results are likely to be much slower even than mine. I have played Wurm before, I know what I'm getting in to and what there is to discover beyond the initial slow grind. I don't think entirely new players would have the same opinion and hopes.
  9. Sometimes I think it would have been simpler just keeping it everything player made, except for an initial spawn token and trader.
  10. Perfect timing, makes looking for potential deed spot easier.
  11. Do you have any sort of schedule for stream times? Or a time on Jan 3rd for the first stream? I've been playing similarly, minus the death/streaming restrictions, at least until some kind folks on Cele offered some help I couldn't refuse!
  12. I have a rare peg, which character should I CoD to? *I'm blind and it's mentioned in your thread. Peg sent ^^ I also have a rare tenon, would you like it too? I don't see it on your first post. (I checked better this time haha)
  13. Turning off GLSL in compatibility improved my performance over 500%. (Probably more like 10-20x) With GLSL I was getting about 30fps constant at 720p, absolutely everything disabled/low/short. With it turned off, I can run everything on high/far at constant 30fps, 1080p, using about 25% of CPU's GPU capabilities. However, there are no shadows or shaders, so world is a bit bland....but at least the textures and render distance are superb. Would highly recommend this for anyone else running on integrated...makes Wurm 100% playable and enjoyable. Could hit 60fps smoothly if I wanted, but I choose to keep CPU usage low, so fans don't run.
