  1. I think that is a fair assessment. But this is what is great about this new experiment, we can find out what works and what doesn't and give feedback to the dev team on tweaks that could help improve things overall. I do want to say that we did technically have moon metal before SoTG became the standard. I also was a big fan of the revamp to make SoTG spread across multiple levels of the path. I am looking forward to this short time period where we can really throw down at each other and find a balance that works best.
  2. It was extremely brief to the point I always thought it was unintended. From what I remember about the camera, it could go into a 3rd person mode, but the individual I know who tested that during that period found that essentially the camera that we look through in first person is also the interact for us personally. We are the camera. When the camera has the ability to move without the player moving it can examine, and effect the area it is near while the model remains still. From my understanding anyway.
  3. Sorry but if you cannot defend your deed, you do not deserve to have one. I suggest bunking with another village. Again it is not an incentive. I fail to see your point. SotG is just a buff, that is all. I am sorry you spent a long time grinding it, my I recommend, going to chaos. Again SotG has been reworked to death because it sucks, fully stop. This is an agreed upon point by people who actually play the game. Hey guess what I have SotG too. Since no one has it there is no loss incentive. If you are buying a car you want and it comes with free satellite radio as an incentive, that is great. If you are buying a car you want and there is no mention of satellite radio for that car you aren't missing anything. It was never offered. Dude you aren't getting it, you really aren't. Your work is not in vain, because it is a non-factor. You aren't getting burned. Your skill is still there. This only applies to elevation WHICH YOU DO NOT EVEN WANT TO LIVE ON.   4. You have the reading comprehension issue, Challenge was to testing changes to the game. It did that. Why are you so obsessed with rewards? I played longer than you and more than you, I know the different states of pvp, with damage reduction and no damage reduction. I can assure you the game is better with the changes coming. No one is nerfed if we are all on the same playing field you dink. SoTG does not add to the difficulty what are you on about? And also dude, if you cannot be bothered to get off your deed without some grand incentive? Why are you on a pvp server?
  5. Wurm is not designed for 3rd person, the entire games graphical design would have to be reworked.
  6. On a pvp server people should be expected to defend their deed. Could you please explain how this de-incentives players? You said this on the other thread and did not explain it well there either. SoTG has been balanced, and rebalanced again because the high tier meditation paths are not fun on a pvp server.
  7. Okay. What specifically about challenge did not work exactly? Who is saying challenge did not work? Challenge was not meant to be a new server type going forward. It was short run test. It was also pretty popular. Why do you think these changes are being made exactly? It is to address the population. Common sense. I don't really understand, the awards you mention can be conferred to the PvPer who kills the enemy. Taking their rewards. PvP is about the thrill of the fight, expansion of territory, and just having good old fashioned fun. It almost seems like you were thinking of more monetary rewards that can be conferred for real world cash incentives. I think you are misunderstanding yet again, rewards are the bi-product of pvping for fun, rewards are rarely the sole incentive. The ultimate form of wurm is putting your crafting, deed design, building, and leadership skills to the test against those in an ultra-difficult survival environment battling it out along the way. You go into battle getting shakes because you are about to fight a strong enemy, who may kill you and takes your gear. That feeling is incentive enough. You seem hung up on this concept that some monetary or functional reward must be delivered. This isn't Diablo 3 man, I don't need to get a new green every boss kill. TL;DR, as stated above, there are plenty of reasons. The amount of people interested in Epic is proof enough that monetary value of items and in game wealth is not the sole motivator for fighting. You're mindset is just not correct if you see this game as a bank.

  9. But guys, slate in real life doesn't really make good statues, it is a cleavage mineral, specifically slaty cleavage. The statues we are thinking of would be difficult to replicate in slate unless you stack them and try to fracture them. Nothing like Marble which is soft and easy to shape.

  11. A lot of folks came back recently to play. Unfortunately a lot of these folks are the same ones who used to promote game content that benefited them the most, over the entire community. My main issue is that they were away this whole time until they received word that some folks managed to get something good to happen, then they roll in and do everything they can to shape the new Epic to their liking within a week of it materializing. It is absolutely sickening.

  20. I know more about this game than you Acerifle. I remember the early pmks. That won't happen again because pmk's at the start were so fledgling and new figuring everything out. Populations were spread out everywhere template and pmk it worked well because of that. PMK's of the late generation are awful. Stop trying to restart Kingdom of Sol.
  21. No I don't want PMK's because I want a return to the original intention of the game. I want to see kingdoms work together to achieve their goals, not cloister up in their own personal kingdoms where they answer to no one. PMK's made the game worse, I say that from a perspective as someone who took part in many of them. It expands the snowball effect far more. I need only show you Challenge 1 to show you how fun the concept of only template kingdoms is.
