Xarban and I made a deal on my old account today and, thanks to Xarban's patience and honesty, everything went great. I'm always nervous when it comes to account transactions but Xarban was very honest and understanding. He had every opportunity to take advantage of me and he didn't. LOL, rolf goes on vacation more than obama. It's always been that way, I've seen servers go down for an entire weekend because rolf was "on vacation". Just one more reason I'm in the process of quiting. How long ago was 1.0 released? I haven't played in a couple of months, but I'll bet my right eye that horses still don't have visible armor lol. I'm sure I could find many more examples of changes they've promised and never bothered to implement, but I'm just going by memory atm. They want to charge WoW rates for lemonade-stand services. What a joke. I've been watching it go on for years, and guess what, not a darn thing has changed. Each release brings a flood of new bugs and very few improvements, but fear not, sleep bonus makes it all ok, lmao. All these issues were acceptable back when the they charged us what the game is actually worth, but at the new rates it's completely unacceptable and you all should expect more. If you really want to know were the devs priorities lie, ask yourself how many times you've ever seen the "Shop" offline lol. They may not be able to keep the game servers up full time, but they always find a way to accept your payment, they never make mistakes when it comes to their money...

I notice that you failed to mention exactly what it is that I can't get anywhere else. Perhaps you'd like to elaborate so that I may help you understand what I'm talking about.. I can try to guess, but about the only thing I can come up with is the ability to raise and lower land, but then again, minecraft and xsyon offer that too. Land/Housing ownership? nope, been done for years. (AC1, EQ2, Vanguard, Uncharted Waters etc, etc.), Crafting? i'm pretty sure that's been done too (too many to list). PVP? there is waaayy better out there (again, too many to list), Mounts? no. Mining? nope. Fishing? been done too. I can go on and on but I think you get the idea. I'm not trying to say that WURM has no value, on the contrary, as I previously posted, I had no problem with the idea of a price increase until I saw how unreasonable that increase was. I enjoy playing WURM, but I'm not going to pretend that it is something more than it really is just because it costs more.

The simple, undeniable fact of the matter is that for the same monthly fee (or less) I can subscribe to any number of games which feature better graphics, better tech support (even on weekends and holidays), more content, tons more grind-free content, bigger community, less glitches, fewer exploits (intended or otherwise(ie;Traders)), Balance ('nuff said), and a boat-load of minor perks such as avatars that hinge at the waist, mounts with visible gear, quests/missions, the ability to jump, furniture you can actually use and much more. I wasn't opposed to a slight price increase when it was first announced, but such a drastic increase is simply unreasonable. In the current game market, WURM simply isn't worth it. I'm sorry if I've offended anyone, but if one draws an objective comparison between WURM and the many, many games on the market today, it's plain to see that you can get more for your money elsewhere. WURMs greatest appeal has always been it's price. Through all of the glitches, nerfs, missing items, years and years of "beta testing", etc, etc, etc.... the one thing that made it all semi-acceptable was the price. Even then, I always considered Silver to be over-priced, but premium time was reasonable therefore I was willing to overlook the occasional hiccup. That is only my opinion though. WURM has many unique qualities I'll admit, but none that justify such a sharp increase in price. Like Rolf, I too work very hard for my money and I intend to get the best quality product for the money I spend. The more I spend, the better quality I expect. Also like Rolf I perform a service for others for which I am payed a rated fee. If one of my competitors can offer better services at the same rate as my services, it's reasonable to assume that I'm not going to remain in business much longer unless I either raise my level of service or lower my rates. It's dillusional to believe otherwise. Personally, I've dumped all of my remaining silver into my deed maintenance and fired my Templar. There is little I can accomplish on my deed without going premium and I refuse to go premium until the price-to-quality ratio changes signifigantly. I'll keep checking the forums for as long as my deed remains paid, but I have no intention of returning until things change. Sadly, I'm not the only one who feels this way, and it's a real shame....
