  14. I'm a little torn. It's a good idea, but I like how hedges are a fence of last resort for off-deed areas as they don't decay. Making them easy to destroy could limit this functionality.

    You're a good son. Sure the most graphics-intense thing he runs is Wurm. But what is the most intense thing you run? (My parents would have never trusted me to make this decision.) On a more serious note, I can run 1 client on my (semi-) integrated graphics laptop with 512mb vram at 20-35 fps, but 2 is pretty much impossible. Also, a texture change coming soon is supposed to greatly reduce Wurm's vram requirements, to help out all ye multiboxers.

    playwildterra.com Has anyone played this UO-descendant? I've seen written that it's still in alpha but the official site just says early access. Screenie Similar to Wurm there are "no NPCs in the game." Similar to some WU servers, there is also supposed to be rapid skilling to avoid grind. The economy is player-driven to encourage interdependence. The latest news is they're switching from 2D character models to 3D. The backgrounds will remain 2D. Seems a bit quiet, but maybe the forums are a poor judge.

  21. +1 I'll be +10 if the low-end dens are truly doable with low-end FS. We already have portals in the game, and the new sailing changes are portal-like. Yeah it would be great if it was non-instanced. But this could be a darn clean way of shoe-horning in some much needed pve-content. edit: Is it really an instance if there's not a player cap, or, anyone can wander in? Someone mentioned Eve's deadspace pockets. All of Eve is chopped up like that, into grids that you warp between. And no one complains that it's "heavily instanced" because you can always fly in (and die).

  23. I'm guessing Aeris' comment is a joke but child-onset schizophrenia (<12) is of extreme rarity. Like, leukemia is a far, far greater risk. And besides, under age 12 kids' brains don't have the full capacity yet to distinguish between fantasy and reality (generally). My first serious exposure to computer gaming was also at 11 years old. I was playing Wing Commander 1, and man did the Tiger's Claw INVADE MY MIND. I was in the Vega Sector, let me tell you.
