  1. Thanks for the report. I can confirm that it's not updating the skill text in the timer properly when you gain skill during a session, and this will be fixed, probably in the next update.
  2. Unfortunately, the console log itself probably doesn't help much, since it appears that the launcher itself is crashing. If you check the "application" portion of the Windows event log, there might be an error listed there pertaining to it that you could copy/screenshot and paste here, but it may or may not be useful. It's possible that this is caused by some filesystem or registry permissions issue. Is there any chance you've run the game in administrator made or as another user at some point?
  3. The Faith timer doesn't show at 100 Faith, but the Prayer timer still should. Will look into this.

    I'm glad it's working for you now, but would you mind letting me know what path and path level you were on when the bug was occurring, and what your meditation skill was at the time? This would help us greatly in tracking down what was happening there.

  6. The temperature of forges, of items being heated in those forges, and the amount of time that a forge stays lit did not change with this patch. The only difference is that you get different text on examine at very high temperatures. It's true that things don't stay "white-hot" for long, but this is intentional: The "white-hot" text is meant to tell you that something is quite close to maximum possible temperature, so very few things will stay that way for long. Just to make this extra clear: Your forges are staying just as hot, for just as long, as they were before the patch, and items are heating up and cooling down just as quickly. None of that has changed whatsoever.
  7. Some friends of mine invited me to join them in an MMO I had never heard of before, so I downloaded it and hopped on with them. I couldn't use any of my typical names when signing up, so I just came up with something silly off the top of my head that was meant to sound like a character from a Shakespeare play except dumber. Little did I know I'd still be using it, in both a personal and professional capacity, ten years later. If I had known that, I would have put more thought into it!
  8. Are you getting the problem in the same place each time, and with the same textures, or does it change? Also, if you don't mind, what distribution of Linux are you running, and what's your GPU? It might also help to know which GPU drivers you're using, if you know.

The new timers shown in the post are controlled by the server and are sent fresh every time you log in or connect, so things like crossing to a new server, a client crash, or a disconnect and reconnect shouldn't affect them in any way. If you mean the old custom timers, those are still available and will function the way they did before, just with some changes to how they're displayed and with a few minor display bugs fixed. Since the custom timers are entirely client-side, they will indeed stop if the client closes, but if there are any issues beyond that, please let us know.
  10. As it says in the image, it's rounded up, so a 9.3 QL lock would result in it saying "between 0 and 10", not "between 0 and 9". A 99.8 QL lock would indeed allow up to 100.
  11. I would like to emphasize the following part of the quality lock screenshot, for those interested: Yes, this does mean that it will now be possible to lock a container to only 100QL items.
  12. The promotional images were screenshots; those effects exist in-game. If you're not seeing them, you're likely not the correct deity for the site or don't have enough Faith. There's always the chance of some kind of bug here, but the visual effects at the Fo site I went to appeared to be working, so if you think it's buggy, we would need more details. Regarding the other feedback, some tweaks are currently in the works and more information should be available soon.
  13. Thanks, these are known issues and both will be fixed in an upcoming patch. In the meantime, the spell effect icons should have the correct descriptions.
  14. This is a known issue; some effects are missing their descriptions, so until the next patch, they'll display that error message instead.
  15. Do you know what the tile to creature ratio was on your deed when this happened?
  16. Chance of natural Corruption growth is scaled with the number of players contributing to the site, so smaller groups should not be adversely affected too much.
  17. More changes as of today! "More uses" there refers to the fact that you can use them multiple times each. The skill gain from each use was not changed (although it has been adjusted in a few ways with today's changes; see above). We'll be restarting the test server within the next 30 minutes to make sure the changes are applied to them.
  18. There are currently some changes being made, which we will be able to post about shortly. What "other uses" or "extra steps" are you referring to regarding soul crystals?
  19. Have you prayed or done a sermon recently? Exorcism actions (both desecrating and purifying) give Faith and use the same timer as prayers, so you can't do it if you've gained faith too recently. We can definitely change the messages to make what's happening more clear. Please try to keep posts in this thread on the topic of holy sites. This would make for a good Suggestions forum thread, but isn't really on-topic here.
  20. The rock holy site allows a bit more slope nearby than the others in order to help with that. We've done some testing to make sure each type should be able to spawn in practice, but we'll need to keep an eye on how many of each holy site actually spawn on the gameplay servers once the feature goes live.
  21. Currently working on fixes and listening to the feedback, so keep the reports coming! My guess is that any forges people leave behind are likely to be low quality and not such a problem in terms of litter, but if it becomes an issue, we can always look into what we can do there. Increasing decay on people's items isn't something we're likely to do unless it really becomes necessary. I'm not familiar with the exact terrain there, but holy sites won't spawn too close to deeds, or on steep slopes. The slope requirements are actually fairly strict, so while we can't guarantee they will be easy to get to, they won't be on terrain you can't stand still on or anything like that. Peat is used for the other Libila holy site, which can spawn on both tar and peat.
  22. Good catch, I'm glad I wasn't drinking coffee while reading that you got a crystal with the soul of a child in it! That isn't supposed to happen. Only "normal" creatures should be possible for those, so no uniques, traders or other humans, etc. As for how the effect is balanced, I can take a look at that. Will also look at the possible bug with Rampage to make sure it's working properly. Were they kills you got fighting skill for?

  24. Thanks for mentioning this, it was accidentally using your pronouns instead of your god's pronouns. This has been fixed for a future update. To make testing easier, the test servers can give you holy site maps for literally any holy site on the server, including the one you're praying at. Once it goes live, you'll only get them for sites nobody has activated yet (and far less often, of course). Holy sites have been set to only last around 8 hours on test servers to make it easier to test their entire lifespan, but that meant they just weren't showing up often enough. Their spawn rate on test servers has just been increased to help compensate for that. The "dormant" text sticking around, the client crash, sea creatures spawning on land, and flesh pods not being consumed have all been fixed. Vynora's Insight definitely should have a spell effect icon. If it doesn't, that will be taken care of. If anyone notices any other spell effects that are missing icons, let us know! EDIT: The Rampage duration from the holy site pulse event is supposed to be drastically longer than the ~5 minutes you were getting. This will be fixed shortly.
