  1. 99.9% of the time a GM will say go for it. The thing is they want to be called and give approval first so that is someone throws a hissy fit they can throw the "GM Declaration" rule at them.
  2. If you just use flatten on the tile boarder only, across the width, you will get nice results for your slopes going up and down most of the time, in rare cases you will need to go back to adjust a slope to make sure its not over 23 slopes high.
  3. I have been smoothing them across the width, but I would rather them roll with the terrain.
  4. Directly west from Linton is a giant mountain...
  5. Yep and where you guys likely are on the west, I am not working west at the moment anyway but I am only going direct straight lines from starter towns, then people can tie in as they like, you guys should be nowhere near a straight west line.
  6. Linton North Highway. Much has been done, far from complete, but we will not talk about plans as per the OP rules. Here are pics of what is done, by a non premium toon that just landed on Xanadu Friday evening. This is part of the challenge, doing this as non premium just to see what obsticles can be overcome.
  7. The problem with rough cobblestone is you can not use the pave nearest corner option with them. So any angles in the road would have to be a bunch of jerky turns or look trashy with different types of tile.
  8. Its a balance I agree, I do not want to gouge in and make it perfectly flat along its longway or worry about specific slops. As long as the highways are flat across the narrow width they should roll along the landscape as the landscape rolls. Only time slope adjustment should be done is if it is beyond a 23 slope making it almost impossible to travel. It is good you are working on the west. I am currently working on the north highway. Also there is a guy working on South. This should help bring Linton to the top of the list for spawn town redesign. Here is the important thing for me doing roads. Once you get them complete, at least this is what I am going to do, go back and replant steppes, resand deserts, replant trees that were native to the area. This will ensure that the only tiles affected are the ones used for travel.
  9. The problem with single tile ROADS is they have 0 protection from griefing or change. The problem with 2 lane highways is people do not want to be involved with the highway rule. The challenge is a balance, by creating the highway through the areas with no deeds, and then rerouting when necessary to go around deeds that do not wish to be connected and staying a good ways off of their perimiter so they have room to expand.
  10. You are late on this...Linton already has highways started, just need work. Some donations of bricks and tools would be helpful.
