  1. Thank you very much! I'll go include the server in my thread then
  2. Hey folks! I'm a brand new player looking to officially get into the Wurm Universe. I'm still looking into exploring around so I haven't settled on a server yet, but currently fiddling with the Steam version if that makes any difference! As I'm new, I'm still doing my best researching the game, and learning things from the wiki & tutorial videos on Youtube. Otherwise I'll have plenty of silly questions as I explore and learn the game as I can, and hopefully commit for a long time! I'm looking for a fairly active PvE village that is more on the small-med size of things for a tight-knit sense of community. I'm looking for more of a team-oriented group where some solo play is nice, but preferably having us all work together towards a common goal. I'd love any type of crafter/farmer/rancher sort of duties down the road, but honestly? I'll do a lot of different labor to ensure things get done, and also gain the skills needed to do much more. I'm 18+, I live in the US (CST time), and can be pretty active when I'm able outside of required RL hours for work and the like. Feel free to contact me here, or preferably at my Discord: Dinosaur#1100 EDIT: I'm currently on the tutorial island, but I'll be hopping to Cadence once it opens up!
  3. How is Wurm?

Thank you for your answers! I have heard about the grind and how the game requires patience over a long span in order to accomplish a lot. Grinding does have its dislike over me, but I suppose it never hurts to give it a month to see if I can get into it. I have played a few games where it takes effort to get where you want to be, but it applies to some of my real life goals as well. I'm aware I'll probably have my frustrations, but I highly doubt giving up before the game really starts to shine will help me in anyway. I do like exploring outside animal husbandry, and the fantasy setting makes it even better! I have some free time due to summer vacation, but alas, I'll be busy at times too. I'm sure I can squeeze in some time. I'm a people-person so a village is a good start. The last thing I want to do is go head-first into the wild when I'm still trying to figure out the basics of the game. I heard about different servers being welcoming for newbies, but to be honest, how do I enter a server? I'm guessing it's automatic on where you go until you leave the starting area, but I haven't a clue. I think I ended up on a server called Freedom? If not, then I'm not sure. Also, is it possible to switch to the new server when I'm roaming on another?
  4. How is Wurm?

I'm a new player itching for something involving sandbox-rpgs, and animal husbandry. I was thinking of trying Istaria again, but Wurm Online happened to fit the bill of what I constantly wanted to play but could never find it. From a thread with recommendations to this and Life is Feudal, I chose the initial with some genuine surprise to see there involves horseback riding, but also breeding, raising them. I immediately find myself downloading it, and playing a little bit, but I'd like to get some ideas on whether it's still good for newbies like myself. I'm walking into this by myself so no friends at all unless I convince them with my constant babble about the pretty horse models. Of course, Minecraft has these blocky models, and its concept doesn't really appeal to me as much. I don't build models. I'd rather erect a farm to raise livestock. Is it still pretty good?
