  1. MR has no idea what you are talking about and finds these allegations slanderous and misinformative at best. These so called " MR Intruders" are merely a pro-MR militia that have formed independently in BL lands and have nothing to do with the Empire of Mol-Rehan as they do not wear MR tabards. In respose to your slander and libel, annexation of the southern peninsulas will commence post haste.
  2. 1: use a 2-hander 2: Med mauls are notorious for being a crapshoot. When (if) it hits it hits hard, but it misses like crazy. 3: ql50 with 32 nim is just plain bad.
  3. Awesome trailer, also if those are in-game setting I want to know what they are, or did someone just turn the colors way up in editing? Nice job loading up the weight on the alt in the beginning so his walking speed looks normal instead of nigerian too.
  4. Scale with no cap is faster than Drake with no cap? I don't think so somehow.
  5. Says you, buddy. I would welcome a pooping action with open arms, but closed nostrils.
  6. Not entirely correct, the anomalous characteristic gain over a certain time seems to be because higher ql tools have a shorter timer, and more accumulated time wasted on stamina breaks. Say you have a pickaxe for a 20 second mining timer and one that has a 10 second timer, and you take 1 second to regain a full bar of stamina. After the 20 second action you wait that one second and have done one cycle in 21 seconds. Now you use the 10 second pickaxe for 2 cycles, you have the same 20 seconds of skillgain but an extra second for stamina regain. 10 sec-1 sec-10 sec-1 sec. Also your theory about a low ql tool always providing better skill is just plain terrible in mining. I had no lead veins near me when I was at 65-ish mining, but I had plenty of silver. I found out I was getting far better skillgain with a ql 40 pickaxe than with a ql15. You can't just hamfist one theory into fitting for all the skills. It requires careful experimentation and documentation of your findings over several thousand actions. /edit: Likewise the age old myth of the best skillgain creating items being at 50% is utter and total horsecrap as well. Recently been monitoring my progress in locksmithing very closely and it seems that skillgain seems to be best between 70 and 80%
  7. It's the merchant forums, don't give a crap, nobody uses chaos market anyway.
  8. I like the way development is going, my only gripe is that shield bashing is too much of a chore to grind and that players could keep their skill after the big cooldown change. Other than that, keep up the good work Rolf and team.
  9. This thread is full of so much stupid. Swistony and Jeixi, it sounds like the best thing for you two is to pack your ###### and leave. You keep on coming up with horseshit suggestions to "improve" Wurm based on your own delusions of what makes a good game. You are but 2 insignificant voices in a sea of regular players both veteran and noob alike. I don't like the playstyle of having alts, I personally only have one to hold my writs while I'm off-server. But that doesn't mean that people that are willing to pay for their premium alts can't. If someone has 7 premium alts, do you really think that cutting that to 2 premium accounts will make up for itself by 5 new players suddenly deciding the game is worth premium because that guy can't play the way he sees fit? Wurm is big enough for anyone to set off and find a community of people that work and play the way they themselves like, don't come and ###### in these forums because it's too much effort for you to find/create a community of your liking. Oh, and whichever one of you came up with that idea about capping people's skills to one certain profession they choose... I hate that idea so much I want to drag it out back and shoot it. The biggest reason I stayed with Wurm was that I can be whatever the hell I want without being arbitrarily limited by "profession" or "class". Just the fact that one of you two hare-brained buffons actually thought it was a good idea shows me you truly do not have any inclination of what makes Wurm what it is, nor that you have its best interests at heart.
  10. Not sure on skillgain but I can confirm that tempering a tool with WoA on it reduces the action timer. Tempering using item ql as a measure for difficulty is an interesting idea, it explains why tempering is a pain in the ass across the board.
  11. I would like to add that skiller picks are basically picks with high CoC, saying skiller pickaxes are useless before 50 mining is false imho since a ql40 pickaxe with pure CoC is also a "skiller" and will net you more skill than an equivalent pickaxe with no CoC. Not a big issue but it just bugged me to read that Also thanks for the info on farming, that really helps me find out which crops I should be farming.
  12. Here's some more food for thought, CoC on water actually works for washing in tailoring yet has no effect in smithing at all. Now that's a huge load of BS.
  13. To me there's a very thick line between trash talking and calling someone's child autistic.
  14. Been running around on chaos hunting for 2 weeks now with a tamed horse so I can easily remove barding or put it back on. Honestly I can't see the difference between the rates of my tame horse getting attacked or an untamed ridden horse getting attacked, both happen only very rarely. System is fine as it is in my opinion.
  15. Exceedingly glad to hear this, I like playing with shadows enabled but I think they are still handled by cpu aren't they? Pretty much the same setup as me except I have an AMD 7950 and my i7-920 is OC'd to 4.0 permanently. And yeah, sadly what you say is true, although Arma 3 is also a fantastic example of poor optimization (a few months ago, have not tried it for a while)
  16. If this is true then you can fit 300 in a large crate.
  17. LARGE MAUL ALL DAY EVERY DAY Also, those bridges look glorious! *drools*
  18. Does not allocate memory well, handles a lot of stuff on the CPU that the GPU would be much better at. If you want to run Wurm well, you need a good cpu, an SSD/ramdisk, and a good amount of fast memory, GPU is not that important in wurm.
  19. We can draw things on this and other people can see them? Oh lord this is going to make raid meetings 5x as long and 10x more hilarious.
  20. It's because double clicking either examines a friendly or neutral creature or targets a hostile. The bow icon is purely there to say "I want to stop targeting things in a melee and start using ranged attacks instead." Personally I'm fine with the way it works, even though I keep ending up throwing my cotton at people.
  21. It had a few crates inside it, not many, it treats the tent like a normal take/drop item no need to load it. Did not test outside with a placed tent.
  22. Know what else is fun? You can't drop them on your own deed, nor can you put them in a large tub, the only thing I've found so far that will hold a tent for storage is a wagon.
