  1. Will the teleportation limit for going into enemy presence of alerted deeds affect twigs/farwalker stones? While I know SotG is somewhat overpowered, I'm wondering if everyone's base hp could be increased as a lot of current pvp I've seen on chaos involves huge axe pushes to hammer down someone with SotG very quickly especially with things such as true strike. Increasing the base hp coming in with the change to sotg
  2. My concern for removing SotG completely now as people have said and suggested changes for this, if you don't have SotG in PVP I sadly agree somewhat with this statement and PVP on Chaos IMO would not be beneficial as it would result in huge axe rushes.

  6. Retrograde is your point of interaction from now on, apart from the rare occurrence of a Q&A session in IRC with Rolf that is handled properly to address concerns with the game. The players interacting with Rolf directly hasn't ever ended well in all the long years of Wurm's development.

I somewhat agree with Retrogrades view, if changes to the current mechanics are implemented, the game itself my change very rapidly and so is something I wholly want to see before we lose Chaos and the thousands of hours/days the players have put into it. Especially when the players currently at top admit these mechanics have been used extensively to ensure they reach the top.

  9. /who bots monitor the server stats such as the player count seen on the forums and check for any sudden jumps by say, 10-20 people (e.g. a knarr of enemies suddenly appearing on the server) and broadcasts a message via irc or other programs to warn players. Theres also the defence advisor role that detects if a tower is being bashed by the enemy and by using a program to read the event logs being stored written to the hard drive its possible to broadcast a warning saying "blah blah tower is being damaged get on" similar to information minister being warned of any enemy player going into your kingdom influence so and similar to the defence advisor can then broadcast a message. By setting up a dedicated server these accounts can be kept online 24/7 and essentially become "bots" to warn an entire kingdom what is happening. Oh, +1 for this, in the past it may not have been such an issue with defence advisor as the message is only every 10 minutes, maybe making it every 20-30 minutes might work as theres no other way of checking towers are being destroyed.
  10. +1 to removing this. I do wonder what it would be like if the PVP servers weren't able to link village feeds to twitter, but that's probably a distant hope.
  11. To me, this is a massive waste of time and asking for people's opinion when your just pushing your own change no one seems to agree with is futile. You mentioned IRC and pm chats, will you ever post what people said so it's fairly added to this thread? Having 16 pages of talk is a waste of time when clearly people saying a good option is to make a trader item for 50s+ as a way of getting money into rolfs pocket and making playing wurm far easier, why isn't that an option?! Instead you want to spend time renaming the items, which will break something else in the game, make them immovable which will break something else, single stackable which will break something else and a bunch of other stuff? Just rest while your ahead... I wonder if the bug with dual enchanted weapons will be fixed then? They were made by a bug, with only some people allowed these weapons while many cannot have them, I wonder if my support from 2 months ago will ever get resolved after I was killed by a house wall due to the new collision system?
  12. You said there are 600 fountain-pans in existence, however does this include fountain-backpacks or fountain-satchels in the number? Because I own about 8 of these items and a friend of mine own several more. At present, Wurm Online has 4571 players registered as premium, so more than 1 in 10 people have one of these (assuming even distribution) and should NOT be counted as a rarity. Also, while it may "seem" insignificant to some, and potentially deserves removing, if just the 600 containers are removed, you are talking about 48,000 euros of items going poof (assuming 80 euro's each) End of the day though, I use this so I don't have to waste what little precious time I have when playing a GAME, being a chore repairing my items, because a 5 item bank is virtually useless, so any replacement which serves this purpose is potentially okay to me, however removing these and not providing better ways of preventing item decay on-deed, in containers without using tonnes of merchants hampers playing Wurm Online to a chore for me.

Upon purchasing the steam game would it be possible to also add a unique code, and add an option in the current WO shop where these unique codes can be used to add a set discount to some premium time for WO? To encourage the transition from WU to WO by offering a cheaper game for players? Just a thought, I reckon it would help boost the transition of players between the separate games.
  14. Will the code act similar to either chaos or epic notably with artifacts/hota etc? And will the game be updated to match the existing servers on periodic DLC?
  15. It's honestly better for you to spend time doing this on the other servers, the current kingdom lines will restrict this too much on chaos.

Adding new scale types will diminish the amount of scale of a set colour (assuming someone figures out if they can be combined or not) it might take YEARS to gather enough scale for a single set as most scale has been used in making red scale. This is, IMO, a colossal waste of resources as the drop rate is a pittance.

I would suggest removing the rewards system to be honest, but if something like this was desired perhaps have a check on the 1st of every month that if an account is premium it can win either a small amount of seryll, a yellow potion or something more special. Obviously the chances for seryll/special items are much lower than yellow potions. We don't need a complex loyalty scheme such as this, I don't pay premium for rewards, I pay to enjoy the game and the community.   19. Nothing is out of the question Redd. I would like to see what the team can conclude from this thread now and give us some feedback on what their steps are now.
  20. Collectively, its been said that the test server should be altered for regular players to test the artifacts, then for a constructive discussion to follow on the artifacts. That is and should be all thats needed on this topic, rather than pushing for changes saying its under or over powered without any proof for all sides to observe.

Setting up the test server may be a medium undertaking, but there is an item that GM's can use on test server that spawn items are a manually controlled quality etc similar to fhe cornucopia and would be worth the investment for the future. You say fhe other artifacts are clear cut but further testing is never a bad thing, it would give the players who have been asked for feedback a way to test more features of the game to give improved feedback. it should never be labeled that things don't need changing, it could be minor tweaks but cool downs/effectiveness/blocking etc could all be tweaked from this, and should not be overlooked by players saying only the 3 weapons need improvements, because it does appear to be a strongly biased opinion from all outside viewers. (It might be correct, but there is no way to confirm or deny this at present)
  22. Having spoken to enki about testing the artifacts on the test server with him a while back, he refused. Use the test server? The things harder to test artifacts than the actual live servers!
