  1. It's medieval fantasy remember not just medieval we have drake trolls goblins ext So why not glass towers as another example of medieval fantasy's ?
  2. I would like to build a - Glass bridge. So i can walk on water - Glass house So i can write on the walls in an arcane language - Glass slipper So i can say she'll be back - Glass So i can drink out of - Glass painting So i can hang it up. - Glass bottle So i can server beer out of a bottle. - Glass pipe So i can have a place to put wemp. - Glass rose So i can give them out on valentines day - Glass fragments So i can use it to cut. - Glass tank So i have some where to put a whale - Glass beads So i can make necklaces - Glass statue So i can make statue - Glass powder So I call it pixie dust Lol idk some weird idea's, It's early here. But yeah, glass has always been a good idea to add.
  3. Not expecting, change has already happened. points to epic. Points to chaos. As for non-existent pop. Not sure about that one. I've seen extremely horrid games out there. points to steam. With the right marketing did well for what they had to offer.

Last i played on it. it really boils down to the person(s) hosting it, on how many they choose(servers) An to see all the server you can always check WU forums or steam forums, or https://wurm-unlimited.com/ Yep, but all game have graphs in the back ground just laid out different, and yes permadeath was just an example for a previous statement someone had made about being able to take care of everything on pvp side. But long story short, not everything was the point .
  5. Looking at WU pvp. One could say those are wiped. The pop on those pvp servers are rather low id say. so this clear doesn't work. Lore is easy to make up, but why making it up when we already have it. Adding in permadeath is only a few changes in code. done. What your thinking is a bit more work.

Problem with this is. it'd good for some but not all. take someone who is in the military, they get deployed come back after 6 months. now they are 6 months behind, by the time they catch up. wipe. 2ndly server wipes dont fit in with the lore per say. permadeath does fit in nicely. "Ageless" ones were all killed off as an example.

  8. Yes and no. points to pvp wheres the peradeath? tired of all these high level players I want to fix it once and for all <wink> oh wait, i cant i'm stuck complaining about it on forums. Crude example but valid. In the end with this kind of game, I see no point in pvp if you cant kill someone(permadeath). But that's just me.
  9. Yep i played that too, but its wasn't as good as H&H. a lot of players from H&H tried it but were disappointed. remember the Russians are coming the Russians are coming, and wiped out so many people & their places lol.

  11. Well, Ill just add a new thing as to why I dont like pvp. Your out doing what ever and some enemy pops up in local. Your on the hunt, chase them, After 5 minutes they log off. To me this is combat logging. This has never been touched on.
  12. Yep its preference, but you have to agree the low pop isn't health. And when you compare a product in the same market field that's doing better. Its hard to ignore.
  13. Todays the 15th, Look at the votes. H&H is the clear winner. I remember H&H had a very fun thieving/detective mechanic, The farming system with its crop rotation and fertilizer I stopped playing this game only because of it's low pop & i wanted 3D.
  14. Yep i agree it's not one thing. But, i do think people do know what a community is. which brings me back to one of my other post. LIF. The play style is very much a community thing. but i sure can find a heck of a lot more then 20 people there.

  16. This i know all to well, just trying to meet the new players 1/2 way. Remember they are new!!! Even just the though of losing skill is turning them off atm. So having a way even if it doesn't really do anything. Just the though alone can be enough for them to try the pvp server.
  17. I do see your point, but there are games out there that you do lose stats even permadeath. But that said, Maybe FS lose can have a cap per day. So you wouldn't go below x set amount of FS if your FS is low. Once high it will simple revert back to simple skill loss. Giving lower level player a chance to catch up a bit. I mean we have path of knowledge as it stands. Could just add it in there.
  18. I'm going to look at it a little different. Why not take them right off unique loot table. Just added to archaeology table as fragments. Drop rate set to what ever fits keep market value. The locations could also be set. (high pvp areas.) Players would be out in the open more and longer. meaning more chance of pvp.
  19. Instant pvp.. humm, could work. first thing that comes to mind is pubg style wurm event lol.
  20. They need to be rare. but yes the paywall is high. But clearly people are willing to pay for it. But thats said. There should an other way to get it... Like in pvp. kill a guy/gal, and steal it like affinity is now. lol. Only other way can see it is through lore, archaeology, digging.

  23. Fixing the old bugs/balancing would only attract old players maybe a few new players. But like you said it's been 5 years, and the number of people being attracted to the game isn't there. We need new blood in the game. Which means new ideas. And yes, i know the look of the GUI si a turn off for lot of people new players. Which means of course every think needs to be fixed(bugs)/balance. When they do come, and not to be turn off by those problems, but we also need new rides/event to attract them because a lot of other games have simply a better looking play system. so long story short one thing would not help the over all picture we nee several things thus my idea. and hope some of you out there have some good ones to add to the list that no one has thought of yet. So the dev's can simple put all these idea on a shelf and pick and choose what they fell works best. Well if you scroll up i had a combat idea, but was shot down by someone.
