  1. There just need to be an abandonment clause in rules/code like when a deed drops (example Bashing/locking gates). Do the same for containers if a player has not logged for x amount of days/months or even year.

This would solve the problem, and give bashing/lockpicking a usefulness in the pve side there then what we have now. refer to OP post.

One could argue why should a non paying player have all their stuff kept safe for months/years. While a paying player can not clean up and maybe find some useful things to keep them interesting in playing the game more, thus counting to pay.

Extend this to all vehicles and you’ll have everyone sold!

Other only think I can think of top of my head for carts wagons, ext. is have a slot for wheel type. solid wood, wood with metal trim, and solid metal.

Same kind of factors would apply. wood being lighter so you can move faster, but cannot carry as much. Metal being heavier so you can carry more, but slower. and wooden with trim is in between.

  3. I think a check box, click idea is not the way to go.

The better way to go would be to bash owned carts/wagons/ boats, ext like a guard towers. Where the owner has a chance to demolish it in one hit. The player needs to use a crowbar. This way others would not be affected if they are trying to rare those vehicles. They can use maul or what have you just not a crowbar.

I choose a crowbar seems fitting for demolishing because you are ripping planks off.

  4. Maybe sleeping in a bed/bed roll could speed up intoxication or at least a chance like praying. The type and QL of the bed/bed roll would help.

This would give bed/ bed rolls another use, But beds & bed rolls should take a massive ticks each time a tick happens through out the sleep cycle if intoxication. To the point a the bed/bedroll can poof. (based this on risk reward style)

  5. Ships having an item slots

The slot would allow players to place different kind of sails. The buffs could included  more storage space, but travel slower. Less storage space, but travel faster.

Could also do the same for rudders/oars . Bigger the faster speed, but affects water depth. Smaller slower , but give more depth.

Rarity would affect this by the normal buffs they give items now.

    WoA could apply to this

    Ruins could also apply.

The some of the models are in the game ship masts, oars. Just have to add a little more to it in the back end of the code.

-These item would take damage as the ship sails. Make shipbuilding skill more viable as a trade.

-Adds to ships diversity in the game.

    -Adds new crafting to shipbuilding.

  6. No crash log, settings on both are the same.

the alt did crash 2 times, but is no where near to how many time the main crashed.

check the ram usage, all with in norms. I thinking it’s a network issue. That said strange why my main always has far more issues then my alt.

  7. With the idea of moving forum content in to game. One thing I have not seen talked lately is contacts.

Time to time players post contact work. Flatten, an area, surface mine,  mine out veins, fix caves with concrete ext, ext.

Will we see some kind of machine(s) that ties the auction house with contract work. Or will there be some other system that has this in mind.

  8. Character customization rework: does is by chance include chr. Size & body mass looks?

In-game auction house: does this mean the more merchants you own. The more functions you will have? And or cut down on fees by a percentage? Kind of what traders did to deed per month

  9. 1st solution costs extra coins.
2nd option to my understanding if the tile is below water it adds to the difficulty of the cast. As it stands, with normal difficulty of a 70 spell and cast power of 50 a 2% of success. At higher cast of 95 is 25% and at 98 cast is about 50% the reinforcement will be removed. We all know how wurm percentages work in practice 😉

Either way it is a money sink. Does it really need to be? For such a simple thing to make early on. Yet so difficult to remove.

Keep in mind this is meant for pve side more the it is for PvP

  10. Have reinforcements act like veins. Where by players can remove them by chipping away at them. Difficult enough but making it more pve friendly for off deed construction. Where a deed cannot be placed. Aka two deed perimeter areas, or in canals or cave where the water is too deep for the disintegrate spell to work.

  11. In order from most to least why I do t pvp.

    1 token drain

2 lack of defence when offline for kingdom/buildings tower guard and spirt templars are a joke.

I think there just needs to be a soft core pvp server from what I read on this thread so far. Not everyone have the time money to sink in the game that is  required for hard core.

  12. I’ve notice that the special places for meditation paths are not identifier in the event.

For me I am working on Pok, which often gets taken over by PoL along roads next to water. There have been other post on the forms pointing this out as well.

So for the QoL would be to simple add the text addressing which path the special place is for in the event window.

  13. I have noticed a market open spot that no one is selling .

last hit on a vien for journal mission.  I personally sell them for 50c each.  Currently have two players booked needing it.

Maybe other miners whom could sell this, and wish too. Could add there names here, or start selling online in trade chat.

Deeds already prevent structures from decaying.

They do have a chance of decay if you do not log in for 3 months.

wurm has always been against automation ( as per the rules) , but also , thats what the repair skill is for.. :D

Wurm was once 100% player built items, but that changed.

There is a repair skill, but some deeds would take forever to repair everything.

(That said, maybe add a rule that if a deed falls, then redeemed. That this automation can not be used.)

Remember automation can be a good thing. Look at the wagoner.

I think it says somewhere that your spirit guards are the ones repairing the deed. I suppose if you don't have spirit guards then it doesn't make as much sense.

I haven’t found anything other than spirit templars refill off deed lamps.

  15.

Be nice to have a npc worker that goes around repairing everything on your deed.

Maybe have a stock pile that the npc gathers supplies from.

Some kind of chart showing what materials the npc worker still needs that are not in the stockpile

This would be more geared to pve players that have taken a break and found decay on their deed(s) and is not meant for pvp side

  16. Tanking can be fully abusable, but than again so are alts doing DPs along with buffing from priest.

As for the coding only solution I can see would be to have a 2nd input from player, like an active status check. Making it impossible to run 50 alts. Sure they could run a few alts, but that would still be on par with the current alts running around at rift and other events.

  17. Dps isn’t the solution in the formula for distributing points. This would only negate the needed for tanks. Take WM AOE as an example: The WM tags one person. That person just move around keeping the AOE off the rest of the players.

This person participated in the fight and played a key roll in killing the WM, but did no dps. Why should that person not be rewarded.  This is just one of many examples why dps should not be used as a base line for points reward system.
