  1. Building Rageblade on Vay- wait wrong game
  2. Im pretty sure advertising has already done but most people left quickly. Take a good look at the steam reviews to get an idea why. UI seems to be the #1 issue driving people away instantly.
  3. but wurm is probably not their main source of entertainment, especially if you're new. if you spent 16 euros on every game that came by you'd be poor in no time. it's not so much about having the money as spending it.
  4. Notch

0, he's too busy shitposting on twitter.
  5. you know those are the people mmos benefit most from? that's what the whole millions worth payment model of hearthstone is based on tbh. maybe not the best for the playerbase, but it makes bank.
  6. Actually a single gtx 1060 over here is enough to play on the highest settings with 4xSSAA turned on @ 4k resolution. Getting anywhere from 50 to 70 fps. About the scaling, some of the GUI needs scaling options I've noticed too, but putting text size higher makes everything else big enough to play on.
  7. ?????? It has been, plenty of times in fact. People left before their first hour of playtime and only a small handful remained.
  8. How about change for the sake of balancing the game and adding content? Because that is exactly what this update is. Ironic that you blame me for something that only you are doing right there.
  9. No one is being penalized at all. I don't know why it is so difficult to grasp that it is a skill bonus, something you're going to have to work for now. The low nutrition reduced skill gain was an actual penalty for newbies.
  10. *stamps his feet whilst screaming "I DONT LIKE THIS CHAAAANNGGEEE"*
  11. I think one of the recipes will allow users to permanently end wurm online servers. We don't know the recipes yet so that might very well be possible.
  12. That's called a "failed investment". It's the risk that comes with buying things, especially bugged things, knowing it can change any time. Or did the devs ever promise fountain pans and traders would always stay in their then current state? Honestly I'm curious.
  13. ironic for a player that just called another out for "putting words into the devs mouth"
  14. t. people complaining that they can't play the game their own one way
  15. whats your point? I wasn't talking specifically about a group of people. And in that case this nerf should be even less of a problem.
  16. because there's literally no reason to cook unless those are nerfed I like these sort of updates. We need more of these. Too many things are simply pointless to do with saccing rares instead of actually cooking for nutrition being a perfect exam[lple.
  17. if your game is only fun enough for "5%" of the people who join your game sucks no matter what way you look at it. blaming it on the new players is next level ######ry.
  18. I don't get how you can ever get your items stolen in this game. If you're on freedom and it's so valuable you absolutely can't lose it, put that ###### on an alt only you have access to. If it's a pvp server then that's pretty much the game. leaving several drake sets lying around is just asking for it to be stolen, especially after all of the permission issues in the past.
  19. Seems like wooden fences have bugged shadows. All other shadows work fine. This happens on multiple computers of mine. Pic: they also disappear and then pop back in when walking. Again, all other shadows work fine, just these fence shadows.
  20. "a considerable majority of the game" Still makes no sense. What is "majority"? Anything above 50%? Above 60%? Between 80 and 85%? How do you prevent people endlessly complaining that it shouldn't be this percentage but that percentage? How do you stick to the chosen percentage? Codeclub seems to have an allergy to sticking to things and being consistent tbh. As for the bias thing, this is has nothing to do with bias but rather a lack of critical feedback. If all of the players under one banner can give good and factual reasons as to why a suggestion is bad, then would you deny it simply because it was under one banner, even if they're right? If something in the past happened where the same group of people just said "no" to a suggestion, then that's codeclubs fault for just listening to a "no". But that's another story. you literally said " if you manage to get 100 people from all kingdoms its probably a good idea, ". The loss part was related to that.
  21. now tell me, what is your definition of a large selection of players? How do I determine if a group of players have a clear bias? because that is about as vague as can be. If I'm part of a certain group and I give a suggestion, are you immediately going to shoot it down because "you're part of group X!"? Why 100 people? What if wurm suddenly gains or loses a lot of people in a short period of time? With what system do you redefine the amount of players needed for feedback? Why is feedback bad if it's from one player if it's a genuinely good idea? see how retarded a baseless system like that is? And this is the reason you don't ask players for constant feedback, precisely because there is no way to get a consistent system to ask for it. The point of suggestion and feedback from players is not "you're going to do what we say", it's to potentially give the gamedevs some ideas which they can work into their own planned system. But as I said, Codeclub has no developers, so there is also no planned system. They have nothing to go by and they've proven that too many times already. There was the poll thing once which they seemed to have backed away from immediately, and that was even more vague than what you just said. I can't stop laughing when I think about "a majority vote does not mean we will go for that option". Like, what else is the point of holding a poll when you can't even do that properly?
  22. one thing that drove wurm into this mess is constantly listening to player advice. there's a reason game companies do that, precisely because you CAN'T please everyone. as a game developer you should know your game enough to come up with a solution yourself, but then again there are no game devs working at codeclub, so theres that.
  23. Yeah it takes ages to build a nice deed, not because it's a complicated fun challenge but because you have to stare at action timers. Staring at action timers for a longer time than necessary does not make the game more fun nor challenging, which is why WU is better.
  24. It doesn't fix terrain flickering It doesn't fix lamps flickering It doesn't fix lights not loading from a distance It doesn't increase render distance It doesn't fix the broken LoD setting Was the whole point of this new rendering engine to kill fps and make shadows look lamer while also killing more fps? Or am I just missing something here?
