  1. An unfair advantage to what? Your ability to make money? Freedom has far more drake and scale armour than Epic ever has, some moonmetal and a few tomes should help level the playing field a bit.
  2. Why? "My markets! I must be able to make the most money possible! I don't care about those who have been waiting to be able to play again!" I can't see any argument against that that doesn't come across as inherently selfish.
  3. If it hasn't bounced back, then what's the issue. The way you go on here makes it sound like there's no economy to "ruin". So you got to keep some items then? Still more than we'd get in the event of a skill transfer. Oh wow! Those few tiny lumps I actually have left in my pocket will really destroy the economy!
  4. Oh, I don't deserve them do I? I don't deserve my skills that I've spent the past 5 years grinding? I don't deserve them, despite holding onto an empty server for a year in the hopes that it might pick back up again? Oftentimes being the only person online on my server. But I don't deserve them, right? My deed's gone, my group's gone, my items are gone, my animals are gone. But I don't deserve my skills? I'm sorry, but we absolutely do deserve our skills.
  5. There's a few reasons. Doing so would set a precedent. "Well you did it for him, why can't I have it done too?". The other reason I can think of off the top of my head is that a fair few others have tested it already of their own accord, you could ask them about their experience.
  6. I don't want to sound like an insensitive muppet, but GM's won't assist you with that. If you want to do a test like that, it'd be up to you to set it up.
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong, but just because the code says so, doesn't always make it so in WO. I'd say those who have actually tried both sides have more experience with the matter than those who have only looked at the code.
  8. So I've lost my deeds, my group, my animals, and my items, from waiting around for Epic to pick up again. Why should I also lose half my skills that I've spent the last 5 years grinding?
  9. You were given fair warning. However, it would appear you did not take heed to that warning. That is rather unfortunate for yourself.
  10. Your post is there. This is the last post I'll allow you to make in this manner. Make any more and I'll have no hesitation in removing you from these forums. https://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/158174-ignored-pm-mails-enki/
  11. Was that the result of last nights noob curry?
  12. It's not mine. I wouldn't even know where to start with that kind of stuff! I can't speak for how buggy it is either, I've not tried WU or any mods. You should be able to find it yourself though, I'm sure it had "dock" in the name.
  13. In memory of the legend himself, rest in peace Mr Petty.
  14. Ah, not interested in those, sorry! Already got a couple of them.
  15. Are those JKC banners the new style ones or the old ones?
  16. Strongbox is the starter town on Serenity.
  17. Those are rift creatures, a Rift Jackal by the look of it.
  18. Have you got Experimental checked? If so, disable that. That usually fixes it.
  19. I'd agree with Gary. Absolutely not to a skill decrease should a transfer ever go in. Look at it this way, as if it wasn't enough to be losing everything you've built, crafted, bred, terraformed, mined etc etc, you'd also be losing out on a lot of grinding. This all adds up to a lot of time invested into a game that you won't get back, you shouldn't have to suffer a skill decrease alongside all of that.
  20. 1 x Yule Goat and 1 x Yule Reindeer to Firestarter for 3s?
  21. +1 Might finally get around to making the Museum I always said I'd build if I could do it with these!
  22. You've expressed this far better than I ever could. I've been part of many deeds over the years. DNPA was the one I felt most welcome at when I joined it. Throughout the years people came and left, but the one thing that never changed was the incredible sense of community spirit present there. It represented the good of Epic to a degree. Had it not been for DNPA, and especially Covenant, I most likely wouldn't have stuck around past mid 2014. I probably wouldn't have applied for CA had I not joined DNPA, and been persuaded to do so by the people there, and I definitely wouldn't be where I am today without it. I know some of you may see that as a bad thing though I'm truly saddened by the loss of the community we had there, while it had steadily been decreasing, it never once wavered in spirit, right up to the very end.
  23. There were still a few active villagers keeping it going when they could, with what they could. Not much they can do when the deed's hit while they're offline. People do still have lives outside Wurm, so can't necessarily stay up all night anticipating a potential attack that most likely will steamroll them.
  24. While it's certainly sad that we had such little numbers to be able to defend, what I'm still trying to wrap my head around is what the group stood to gain from doing this? It had already been looted to hell and back, all valuables on deed and on active villagers had already been taken. It's not a case of attempting to gain land like on Elevation or Chaos. There was literally just under 2 silver in the token. Was it really worth the time and effort to get that? Was it really worth detracting from the already dwindling numbers as villagers cease to log in because they can no longer provide any sort of match, or defense, against the attacking party?
