  1. All, I will have to reschedule - hearing no objections, good - I am thinking 0600 ET tomorrow (Saturday 8/26/23), Discord timestamp: <t:1693044000:R> I can't wait!
  2. Agreed - that is definitely a concern of mine for upcoming work...
  3. Current Bank Coffer: 1g Donors (amount): - Kaufecake (1g) - -
  4. Good evening everyone! I am Kaufecake from Cadence, those from SFI probably recognize me as Felthanne. I'm here to announce that I will be hosting a session of Deal or No Deal on August 27th at 10 pm EST August 26th at 0600 EST the Cadence Derby and Impalong! I will be hosting and streaming the event on my YouTube channel; link will be posted in the next post. Before we get into it, I would like to thank @mrwicksterfor allowing myself to host this at his event. If you have ever seen DoND at an Impalong on either cluster, just know that this will similar, originally DoND was done by @Gumboand I'd like to pay respect to him for his contributions to the game. If you have any questions or suggestions... please feel free to post em here. Good luck everyone! OFFICIAL GAME RULES - The game will consist of 16 small chests placed on shelves within a fenced off 3x3 area. Inside each locked small chest will be a containing a letter indicating how much cash the case is worth, ranging from 1 iron up to 20 silver. - After the announcement of a new round, a contestant will be chosen by random. Folks will be required to queue up outside the Contestant Search sign at the Derby. I will collect names, add them to name wheel and spin it and that will determine the next contestant of Deal or No Deal. - The contestant will be required to "claim" one of the cases to use as their starter case. After this the contestant will be asked to remove a specific number of the remaining cases in this order (5,4,3,1,1). An offer of cash will be made to the player (by the Banker) after completing each round of case elimination. The player can either take the cash amount offered by the banker or continue eliminating more cases in an effort to increase the amount of the offer made by the Banker. - If a player makes it down to the final two cases, the player will have the choice of keeping their original "claimed" case or trading for the final case not eliminated. The chosen case will then be opened to reveal the contestants prize. - Here are the monetary values used in each game - 20s, 15s, 10s, 7.5s, 5s, 4s, 3s, 2s, 1s, 75c, 50c, 25c, 10c, 5c, 1c, 1i -------------------------------------------------------------- Other rules and such that need to be stated: -A person may only play once per season, if you had a chance to play this season, please allow others the same opportunity. -Seeing as the bank has a limited reserve, the games will continue until the bank has less than 20s in it's coffers. -Sometimes mistakes can be made. There's a lot of organizing on my side when the game is on, so please bear with me if I screw up. I'll do my best to make it right. -Kaufecake reserves the right to refuse play to any player he feels, at any time. -All money donated to the game will be handed out as prizes, all games of Deal or No Deal will be conducted live on YouTube. -A list of any donors will be collected and placed up after the completion. -Donors are permitted to put their name in as contestants, but all name selection will be randomized among interested parties.
  5. Episode 2 went well, until it didn't! The tour at @Azzyj's deed was fantastic! Thank you again for your time! My OBS started acting up immediately after and since Serenil was unavailable, we called the stream then. I am hoping to get this figured out by the next deed tour in 2 weeks. PS - first edit should be up something this week.
  6. BTW - if anyone else is interested let me know, these two deed are pretty spread out and I'd be more than willing to stop in the middle.
  7. Tentative schedule for tomorrow's stream: - @Azzyj10 pm EST (Deed: Five for Fighting) - @Serenilafterwards (Deed: Mythhelond) Link to the stream will be posted shortly...
  8. Sooo... Deed tours like I have started doing (and Katspurr has done previously). I will also be streaming at the Cadence Derby Impalong and running DoND. I know JoshuaCalvert has his scout series but I haven't seen it posted in a while... The VEN hasn't been updated in a while, and there are plenty of other streamers that can be focused as well.
  9. Doesn't surprise me. He doesn't like being asked things on the spot, nor does he like feedback, obviously. I want him to succeed, but the chances of that are looking smaller and smaller.
  10. One of the Lead OSRS developers recently did that with the new skill - he answered 120+ questions individually on the discord. It took him a few days, but he answered any and every question and really reassured the community of the direction OSRS is going to go with Sailing.
  11. Krister and team could take a lot of pointers from Mod Ash and co. about how to get and incorporate community feedback. When 80+% of your player base is happy with every change over the course of a year - it's impressive.
  12. To start, @Krister , @Samool, and whomever replaces Demona would represent the figureheads of WO and would be great at representing the decision making prowess of Wurm. . As for the call format, start with a statement or a 5 minute max speech to boost morale, quench tempers, and diffuse the situation - but make it live, so we know it's authentic. Then lead into audience questions about the direction of Wurm. There are more questions than answers right now, so anything would he helpful. Also, the answers don't need to be completely fletched out, and somethings can't be answered, but conceptual framework would be fine. Something to be seen more personable and less akin to a "manager pigeon" would be a great benefit. Give an open channel for genuine feedback, which seems to be non-existent. (Personal experience, I have emailed and messaged Krister before and haven't received a response yet.) Entire thing could last 30 minutes and the VOD could be uploaded to YT.
  13. Stage call on discord? OSRS has been doing it successfully for the new Sailing skill. Would be great to talk in real time to the major staff players.
  14. Dear @Krister, Since you have locked that post and I have feedback for you, and despite my continued attempts to reach out and communicate privately, we will discuss it openly. Before we start, this is not meant to be a bash post, and despite my criticality of your works so far, I hope you ultimately understand that this is meant to help you succeed. Wurm has been a part of my life (and many others) for 15+ years and I don't want that to stop anytime soon. So, onto the feedback and I have concerns. First is that you probably will never even look at this, just like you have never read or responded to any of the messages or emails I have sent you. I am incredibly passionate about Wurm, but the path we are taking will lead us right over the cliff. Secondly, the speed at which you respond to the sporadic feedback you do digest is much too slow for a CEO of a multi-million dollar (USD) company. Onwards to your post, I am saddened deeply but respect that a number of the staff have left. Most of those positions require immense amounts of effort and receive little thanks. But I get it, and I understand that you don't want to and can't talk about circumstances regarding someone's departure. However, in the future - make a post immediately instead of waiting days/weeks. Being semi-transparent would be leaps and bounds better than what we currently have - mystique and opagueness. Next level down, honestly - and this could be unpopular - but I think you need to stop worrying about new content. Adding more workload to a hemmoraging team is a recipe for failure. Would I love to see Wurm improved, yes, but you need to steady the ship and fix what's already broken (IE - the website) before you even begin thinking about any other changes. Focus on maintaining quality of the product before you think about improving it. Let's talk about management style, promises, and lies. I have worked in a Fortune 50 and am currently working in a Fortune 500 company and this level of communication would be unacceptable from the CEO. Heck, this would be unacceptable from me - if you want my CV - let me know and I will share it privately. Just know that I have engineering work installed on every continent and in over 50 countries/territories. If my updates to my various clients was at this interval, I'd be out of a job. At the very least, weekly updates should be provided on the most critical asset changes (IE - website), and while I do appreciate that you want to let us see it before it goes live, that time has passed. Managers are ultimately responsible for the final product, and if you make promises - and fail to live up to them; every promise in the future will be seen a straight faced lie. One bad deed will wipe out ten good ones, and this circles back to my comment about rushing or pushing any new updates... The website changes need to be wrapped up immediately. The current iteration is an abomination and could be done better by a high schooler that has played Wurm for a few weeks. And I want it to be known, this is not intended to be a bash or flame post - but instead a conveyance of critical feedback. Feedback this is timely and accurate will hopefully motivate you to make improvements. I very much want you to succeed and if I have to provide strong feedback to accomplish that, so be it. I would love to discuss Wurm with you and if you wanted to do a guest interview in my stream so players can meet the man behind the curtain, it'd be amazing. Ultimately though, I want you to succeed. Sincerely, Kaufecake / Felthanne
  15. HOLD THE PRESS! This just in! I am getting a report that multinational conglomerate is planning to fund this year's Deal or No Deal! Fast paced action, large prizes, a chance to yell at people - what's not to love! It is my intention to host this on Sunday night during my regularly scheduled stream (10pm EST ->) on Sunday night. As this gets closer, I will post a link to my stream. Contestants will be chosen at random from all interested parties in attendance!
  16. Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And as I said many times on stream, projects don't need to be completed to be showcased (after all, is anything ever done in Wurm? 😂 😂 😂). Nor do they have to large, 'cause big or small - I'm showcasing them all! In fact for projects that are in progress, I'm even willing to come back and see the progress in weeks/months/years as you see fit!
  17. Thank you all for the kind words, I'm thinking this becomes a reoccurring every other week series. If I edited each visit into it's own video, would there be any interest in that type of long form content?
  18. That's what I'm going to do - thanks. And my big deed is ~16s/mth.
  19. Here is the VOD btw. I will be editing them down, and despite having problems with this stream, we will be continually improving for the next. If there are any places you want or think I should go and document, please let me know! The mantra for this is: Any project, big or small - I want to showcase them all!
  20. If I buy one today (or a handful), can I place them down in the future? I don't have my deed planned out yet and don't want to put one down where I will end up using erupt to raise the rock layer...
  21. Tonight is the night! Hope y'all are excited. Bonus points - I will share my jerky recipe with the audience!
