  1. I think it's honestly going to come to a matter of your (the creator) personal preference for this one. I have 3 priests at 100 faith and have done a lot of sermons at various events over the years both in WU / WO, the original priestpalooza sheet is from my event on Sklotopolis, and I LOVE and am a huge supporter of automated systems - but humans are humans and it's certainly not perfect. IMO, your leaning heavily solution is the one I would personally go for. I would much rather go at my time -> later and not at my time -> earlier. I'm already expecting to go at abc123 time, I can handle going later because I know 100% I will be around, I've already prepared to be there. If it's earlier, I may not be able to make it, and that would frustrated me personally. Priests (typically) are already leaving their characters up so others can benefit from having listeners, I don't think it should be required to be more active than showing up for your own sermon slot. It's incredibly stressful to attend an event and have to be present the entire time just in case your slot time changes. Personally, I set my phone alarm just to make sure. I was thinking of some sort of system that would have the bot ping the next in line and let them know that if they WANT to sermon early, they can, leaving everyone else in the queue at their slotted times, but it still doesn't resolve / solve the 30+/- m space unless everyone decides to agree to move up. TBH, personally, I don't even think about everyone else in line and I've never cared who went when or didn't, I just have my slot, and I do typically expect to keep that slot / go at that time. If Aron doesn't make it to sermons and Frodo went, I'd be frustrated because it was past the allotted time and considered ninja from Ben, but I'd prefer that over Ben going and then Chuck moving up an entire slot (especially if I were Chuck or to sermon after Chuck, etc). Sorry for the ramble, hope that all makes sense.
  2. Welcome back I personally went to NFI when they released, and came back and returned to my SFI characters. It just wasn't for me. Stuff is far more expensive, and I missed the history that SFI provides. I've been to four public slayings since returning, and a lot of rifts. The communities are smaller than the ones I saw on NFI, so if you're just after a large community, NFI might be more to your tune. It's honestly just going to be a personal choice. There's plenty of reasons for one or the other. I ended up settling on Indy after spending most of my wurm years on Deliverance and Xanadu. People are quiet, but you get to know names and form smaller communities. I've been having a lot of fun. There is an awesome impalong happening on Pristine like mentioned (July), and quite a few active people there. If you haven't yet, you can check out Wurmnode and see how many are online along with how many deeds there are. It's not a great indication of activity, but it might help you out a bit. Honestly, the best thing you can probably do is avoid the forums a bit Wander around in game, check out the discord, and put down some roots. If you've been away for any length of time, check out the new awesomeness that has been added, and enjoy.
  3. Today was patch/restart day, the sermons usually don't happen until the owner is able to log back in later on in the day / the next day
  4. I can send you 1k wemp for 1s via wagoneer on indy if you're still looking
  5. Thank you for hosting yet another amazing event! The tea burned my mouth and the sermon ticks were divine.
  6. I love the seasons in Wurm - but even I, the season loving Wurmian, dislike the brightness. It physically hurts. Aside from that, winter is fine. It helps me find all the random items I've dropped on the ground. I know you're looking for suggestions "other than" the brightness - but honestly, that's the biggest issue.
  7. I don't want to bother or hound anyone about this - but I DO still want to throw silver at capybara items...
  8. I am looking for the following: I'll pick it up from any (pve) deed, you can reach me in game as Stargrace or here on forums. 4 3 capybara sultanate kingdom flags 4 kingdom banners 4 tall kingdom banners 1 wagon They are my spirit animal and I've never wanted to own any PMK stuff before but this one just @@ LMK if you can help me out, please. Thanks!
  9. I have one for 5s I'm selling, if you're interested just let me know Might as well go with the one below Good luck with your buy!
  10. I was browsing Wurm Online videos on YouTube - and came across this one posted just 3 days ago, thought it was pretty awesome, wanted to share (also really nice to see some non-wurm specific channels sharing our little corner of the world). They've apparently walked Cadence before, this time, they're walking across Xanadu. The channel itself is dedicated to walking across open world maps. video of walking - for 9 hours
  11. This map is amazing, and I use it on practically a daily basis. I am the mayor of the following deeds and would like to be added, please: Quail Cove: https://independence.yaga.host/#3879,3770 Quail Landing: https://independence.yaga.host/#3453,3553
  12. Thank you so much for hosting this event! I won my first ever WO item (the skull!) which is now proudly on display at Quail Cove. A lovely time was had by all....
  13. Kintsugi

I had an amazing time at the last one, and the same could be said for this one (minus the lag at the end as we all tried to escape back to our home servers, oof) - love the public slayings. Congratulations those who walked away with pockets of goodies and priests who earned faith. Thank you for hosting!
  14. I really wanted to bid, but this is way way too expensive, I love cats but having a Fo priest makes them non aggressive and that is the cheaper option for me, lol. Good luck with the auction!
  15. Thank you so much for hosting this, it has been many MANY a year since I last attended a public slaying, and it was as awesome as I remember.
  16. I think Blazecraze & Amantnovi summed up the majority of my thoughts on this. Here are some random ones I had left over.. I spent the last week at the Deliverance Impalong and had an amazing time (this was probably my 6th impalong in total). I felt the 3 days it ran, was perfect. Getting people away from their own deeds for any length of time is difficult. I get worn out and emotionally drained hanging around people for any longer. Worried I might "miss" something, trying to keep track of everything, and I assume it's draining on the hosts, too. I worked on imping for all of those days (got some lovely gains), played games, participated in sermons, and avoided the arena since that's not really my thing but it was exciting to see everyone else partaking. I would also not want to go to and from the event, checking on my deed, checking farms and animals just to re-attend. I might be a minority in this regard, but the shorter the event, the better - except then I know planning is more difficult as everyone has a schedule/timezone/other events, etc. Also getting word out can be difficult, not everyone uses discord, or forums. I personally would not be interested in a beginner or new learning event. BUT that is because I am a 12 year veteran, and I honestly just don't have the patience. Not trying to be rude here, just being honest. I'm sure many others would love that sort of thing. It's not why I play wurm. You'll never be able to satisfy everyone though, so while those specific events may not be for me, I'd still attend to participate in other portions. I've never seen anyone 'complain' about an impalong. So much work goes into them, and I appreciate it every time. I would hope that others can see and appreciate the effort it takes to run an event on this scale as well. On a personal level, I'd also like to see some things that take advantage of the uniqueness of Wurm - things to show those OUTSIDE wurm how neat it can be. We have treasure maps - have veteran players team up with a beginner and hand the team a map, first team back with their rewards wins. Make it an elimination thing where the QL of the map goes up and up. etc etc. We have fossil fragments - give players 1 barrel of fragments each, have them frantically dust them off and first person to build something wins (or whatever)
  17. Thanks so much for the hospitality! With the impalong & staying at your deed after, I managed to get from 74 faith to 100 in 10 days! I'm so glad that's over (you were wonderful hosts, I just hate sermons and watching the clock so damn much).
  18. I had an *amazing* time. Here are some of the highlights that really just made the event for me personally. These memories are what make wurm what it is. 1. Drogos riddle games - this was so much fun. I spent way too much time hunting for green signs. 2. Delifun cheese games - omg. I laughed SO loud at this game! I loved the full room of containers and everyone hunting for a single cheese. 3. Pomona and her arena fights. That .. was crazy. 4. Reddragon's amazing bartending services! I'm not a big drinker, so he supplied some hot chocolate, and honestly that tiny little attention to detail, even in a video game, meant a lot to me. All of the organizers were so professional and so polite, it was an event I was proud to take part in. I know it can be difficult to leave our deeds and travel across servers, but it was completely worth it. Thank you all for an amazing weekend. ❤️
  19. I'd take the goblin leader blood please, 2s COD stargrace if you're ok with that.
  20. I absolutely will! Turns out I have a soon-to-be new priest (28 faith at the moment) because this is wurm and why not.
  21. Day 1 was just lovely, a huge thank you to everyone who has put in so much hard work to keeping it running smooth. Thanks to the arena fights too, they looked bloody! Thanks to the alt armies and those hanging out at sermons keeping things going! I've been having such a lovely time, you all remind me what wurm is truly about. ^^
  22. Sermons have been going strong for a few days now, and last night I wandered into this scene!
