Interesting server. Out of a desire for something different, I decided to check this server out. Any notes or observations may be wrong and are simply based on my interpretations Combat: Traditional WO/WU mobs drop coin. Server specific mobs drop alchemy reagents and enchanting items (thus far). Server specific mobs range from variations on WO/WU mobs such as forest spider, dark spider, swamp spider, direwold, cliff racer (mini dragon type mob) etc. The server specific mobs are visually different in terms of color. Mobs also vary on size based upon their "level" Mobs (and players) have traditional MMO levels. The levels seem on par so far as far as combat goes. A level 37 wildcat does seem to hit harder than a level 1. Attempts to fight mobs much higher than my level never seems to go well. Armor seems a must compared to WO/WU even fighting low level mobs. That may also be due to my lower Body Stamina having chosen a Khajit race for movement speed bonus. Alchemy: The alchemy system is involved and almost overwhelming at first. It seems to utilize drops from server specific mobs and also as a by product of farming. You have to have a glass flask to pour your mixtures into. The glass flask can be purchased from a vendor in the spawn area or made using a consumable pottery glass form and sand. A spreadsheet was shared with me showing all the alchemy ingredients and their properties. I have not yet made a potion that was actually useful and the ones I have made basically put a slow effect on myself (note to self, don't drink potions that start with SL) Enchanting: Someone else covered the mechanism behind that above. It seems to work, though 100 mana takes a LONG time to recover (1 mana recovered/5 minute interval iirc Magic: Seems well done, but i havent' actually used it. The Circle 1 spells cost more silver than I currently have and given mana recovery rates, I can't see using it that often. Mods: The server does not seem to feature any of the traditional par for course mods such as dig to dirt, bulk transfer, crop mod etc Religion: Does not seem to exist. No priest spells (replaced with magic and enchanting) Personal thoughts: I have quit playing a few times now in frustration. I'm sure there are good reasons for slow mana recovery, but if it was 5 mana every 1 minute, that would make a huge difference to me in terms of making magic more useful. The ability to mix something normal together such as wemp and water to make "mana juice" would remove the reliance on finding alchemy reagents to make mana potions. Even with 30ql plate (I found some on an abandoned deed and a 20QL large maul, mobs equal to my level kick my butt. Simple wild cats and wolves. It could be my imagination but medium wounds at 20 or 30 damage always seem to worsen even after bandaging. Some good concepts, a bit too hard core. Action timers and skill rate seems slower than what is advertised, but that is just a subjective observation.
  2. This still happens. Any progress on this?
  3. The ability to tame more than one animal would be great. I actually really like the "slots" concept as proposed above. Just not sure how much of a deviation it is from existing code. Regardless, Currently the code seems set that if you tame a 2nd animal, your first goes untame. An alternative method for multiple animals would have to be implemented. Attempting to tame beyond your skill simply results in the message akin to "You lack sufficient skill to control any more animals, let one free first". Which results in the 2nd deviation from existing code - the ability to right click an existing pet and choose "untame". (something that I think has been asked for for years). The other facet that has been brought up is the CR nerf a pet has. I looked for this in the code but couldn't find anything. Exciting stuff regardless.
  4. An animated gif would be wonderful I believe
  5. I have seen that error show up multiple times before in my console and in the log but it hasn't resulted in a shutdown. I did have another (has happened at least 3x before) unscheduled shutdown this morning though. 6. I did that but wasn't apparently patient enough for it to fill. It's filled now
  7. That's just great. Now the Wurm housing market has deed mortgages that are underwater.
  8. Sklotopolis - PVE

That post was in reference to deed funding and upkeep.
  9. Sklotopolis - PVE

Of even less of a popular opinion, but one I hold due to playtime constraints is direct monetization. A server that is professionally operated with a staff that behaves in a neutral unbiased fair manner towards all players, friends or not and features modifications that provide the playstyle that is sought after is something that I would put real money towards.
  10. Now for something totally different >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSYPYq9D_No
  11. Would this posting register as a suggestion? That was its intent, though I was a bit wordy on the background information.
  12. I should have done that going this direction - http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/133435-player-god-priests-and-bl/#entry1368863
  13. Player god priests and followers are allowed on Affliction. I recently converted back to BL after a stint on Elevation under a PMK. My Nahjo priest at the time of BL conversion had a faith of 71.65. During the act of conversion, I was automatically set to a Libila follower and lost my priesthood. I petitioned to have my priesthood restored and was told nothing can be done I understand this was a basic mechanism prior to player deities, but in the context of the current system, can we consider revisiting this? Perhaps set it such that if a player is not a follower of any deity or a non-player deity, then set them to become a follower of Libila, else leave their faith and deity as is?
  14. From token. A different deed created a day or two before the perms patch worked as expected. The deed that fails gives the error message both on opening the twitter form and on attempting to apply the changes after populating the form. The form on re-opening is blank
  15. ^ I fear we have passed the hour for a fix today
  16. I have this. Ask Takatsuki. It's not just chewing noises, but any liquidy sticky, gluey noise. That and the drinking noise in game makes me twitch and want to punch something http://www.newrepublic.com/article/113667/misophonia-treatment-what-if-chewing-sounds-ruined-your-life
  17. I ended up raising everything 10 dirt to be level with the rock under the peat and calling it a day
  18. Wiki - Peat tiles can be raised by dropping dirt or sand. They can be lowered with the level command if all corners are higher or level to an adjacent flat tile and your digging skill is at least 70
  19. I even tried that (the pickaxe). Usual "[19:10:13] The surrounding area needs to be rock before you mine."
  20. There are 30+ tiles of more peat nearby and these 4 are covering rock I need to lower
  21. Deed has one area 10 dirt high that needs to be surface mined down to match the remaining deed flat level. This high area is covered with peat. I went outside the peat area to plain dirt, leveled a tile down (multiple times from multiple directions) and then leveled forward, lowering the peat until I hit rock. I now have a 2x2 area of peat tiles, ALL corners at rock level. All outside corners and the common inside corner. No where in these 4 tiles can you dig and get peat. Anywhere in those tiles and most neighboring tiles the attempt to dig generates the message "You can not dig into the solid rock" I had expected the tiles to turn to rock. Am I truly stuck with an area that I cannot expose rock to surface mine down?
