  1. Well, I have a map made, and it is loaded... Winter here as well.. But I do not get my custom map to show in game. It is actually showing the Online map o.0
  2. Stay Safe

WesnclsMe: you sound like you are close to my neck of the woods. Woke up this morning, 7° F fortunately no wind. Dog went out to do her business and each step looked at her foot as if asking what was wrong.... Currently sitting inside an office at 72° F but not looking forward to walking back out in the 15° F weather with the wind chill already added. I love the cold, but give me the snow to go with it at least.
  3. Perhaps I am stupid in having my in-game name be my forum name so that people can harass me for this in game, but meh anyways. As others have stated if people want their opinion of why they voted one way or another be known they will post it in a reply. So here is my thoughts on knowing who voted on what. Simple. Leave the system the way it is. Why add something to a forum, regardless on if it is an option or not, that will cause strife in a community that really doesn't need it? Anon-polls are perfect since polls are just samples of the whats, not the whos. Leave it be the way it is. Polls is polls.
  4. Just my 2 irons worth here. I dislike flying in games. I understand that it can be explained and therefore logically added, but I say no for Wurm. As for jumping. I am ok with that being added if, and only if, it adds something to combat. Eg a rat is biting your feet... you jump.. adds a better chance of you dodging said rats bite. As for the possibility of people getting into your fenced in area... Plan a bit better. Look around and think like a raider when you are picking a spot to build on. if you build a wall and find that you can then jump to said wall from a hillside... do something about the hillside or move the wall... While I agree that the idiot markers showing where people need to go to get quests and turn in quests is highly annoying, quests have a lot to add to a game. *As long as* they are done well. I am an old Asheron's Call player and really enjoyed the way that quests appeared in that game, even if it wasn't 100% perfect. You had to read and pay attention to the NPCs that talked to you, or other clues like books and lore. If/when quests are added into Wurm Online, I hope that they take this approach to them as AC did. You had to really HUNT for them at times, and it made finding the end item that much more worth it. I came WO because I had lost the sense of an RPG and what it meant to be a part of an online group/clan/guild/society/whatnot and I had read somewhere about building dungeons. While that might not be true in the sense of dungeons in other games, I can certainly see where you could mine out a cave system and build doors, traps, try and lure monsters in, and so forth. It would take a long time, be a lot of work, but in the end I know that I personally would take pride in something created and enjoyed by others. Sorry to end up rambling.
