  1. I find it kind of funny that out of all of that, "diagonal roads" is one of the most exciting parts of this to me
  2. That wildcat literally looks exactly like a cat I used to have named Snickers. Snickers would've never harmed a soul. Therefore, the wildcat model is not very threatening.
  3. I dunno, whenever I'm actively playing you can hardly keep me on my deed. Exploring is one of the best parts about Wurm. (although it used to be considerably more fun when all of the maps were as big as Chaos currently is)
  4. Glad to see Tich still doing her thing so many years later (like what, five and half years since Gold 1 now? Sheesh)
  5. Sheep Panic!

Firstly, make wool harvestable, not a butchering item. Killing a sheep to get it's wool would be silly and a terrible waste. Secondly, lamb chops. Enough said. (Only when butchered of course)
  6. I've been having this issue since well before 1.0, since the first Collada models were added actually. The Collada models take longer to load and don't animate at all when they do load; they simply float along the ground. Same for my avatar. Also using OS X 10.6 on a MacBook, animation settings to Extreme, etc etc
  7. Dear Rolf and Co: Please do not take this as a sign to open yet another server. The population is already spread thin enough as it is. Thank you.
  8. I was a bit worried about the aesthetics of the game being ruined with the introduction of multistory, but I've been pleasantly surprised....with one or two notable exceptions almost all of the buildings in this thread have been very aesthetically pleasing and impressive. Apparently Rolf and Co found some kind of magic formula for allowing awesome buildings without delving into the world of ugly 100-story 1x1 towers
  9. It's funny that you guys mention that, because Golden Valley used to be exactly this. It was open and after completing the tutorial you stayed on GV and got a feel for the game until you decided to move on to one of the "real" servers. Of course, all servers except GV were also premium-only at the time, but I seem to recall that being generally well-received...altough that was ages ago, so perhaps my recollection is a bit hazy
  10. Erm....how do the boats get out when they're finished?
  11. Throw a few high-ql lamps painted with high-ql white dye in the very top 1x1 floor there, and Wurm may finally have it's long-awaited lighthouses.
  12. We've been asking, begging, and pleading for many of these changes and additions for months if not years now. Now they're finally here, and the thread announcing them is comprised almost entirely of people picking apart and whining about the way in which they were announced? There isn't a big enough.
  13. I personally have no issue with people on Freedom, I started on the old JK Homeserver (essentially Freedom's predecessor) and also played on the newly establish MR-H at that time. And have no issue with the idea of your things being safe and focusing on crafting. With that said, I did all of those things on Wild and Desertion, with the constant threat of PvP looming over my shoulder...and yet, out of three villages I started and maintained on those servers, only one ever any enemy contact, and even then it was once in an isolated incident. Sometimes I found myself wanting more pvp to come to my doorstep just for a little excitement and to justify my server choice. Why was I able to completely avoid pvp on pvp servers? Simple: me and my cohorts picked good hiding spots. Most of these places were on mountaintops or nestled in moutainside coves where accessing them was impossible without knowing a very specific way up (often the only way up). To our knowledge, only the one of these three villages was ever found. Moral of the story: Pick a good hiding spot, reap the rewards of more or less complete safety with the bonus of being able to go out and stab people every once in a while.
  14. I'll go against the grain here and say that I support houses taking more materials to complete. Maybe the landscape won't be quite so littered with abandoned houses if fewer are built to begin with.
