I'm having a strange error with the mod loader since I updated to the latest version. I updated the game, downloaded the updated mod loader and ran patcher.sh (I'm using a Debian Linux installation), and now when I try to run the server I'm getting this error: [07:11:08 AM] INFO org.gotti.wurmunlimited.modloader.callbacks.Callbacks: Adding callback modPlayerTransfer to class com.wurmonline.server.ServerEntry for org.gotti.wurmunlimited.modcomm.intra.playertransfer.ModPlayerTransfer with methods [__cb_Proxy_modPlayerTransfer_6.willItemLeaveServer(int,com.wurmonline.server.items.Item,boolean), __cb_Proxy_modPlayerTransfer_6.getRemoteItemTemplateId(int), __cb_Proxy_modPlayerTransfer_6.setTargetServer(int), __cb_Proxy_modPlayerTransfer_6.resetTargetServer(), __cb_Proxy_modPlayerTransfer_6.updateServerStatus(com.wurmonline.server.ServerEntry,boolean)] javassist.NotFoundException: embark(..) is not found in com.wurmonline.server.players.Player Any ideas?

Is ProspectMod still broken? And is there a way I can fix it myself? I haven't messed with modding this game due to the game's terrible code structure... org.gotti.wurmunlimited.modloader.classhooks.HookException: javassist.CannotCompileException: [source error] no such class: source at org.gotti.wurmunlimited.mods.prospectmod.ProspectMod.preInit(ProspectMod.java:64) at org.gotti.wurmunlimited.modloader.ModLoaderShared.lambda$loadModsFromModDir$6(ModLoaderShared.java:166) at java.util.stream.ForEachOps$ForEachOp$OfRef.accept(ForEachOps.java:184) at java.util.stream.ReferencePipeline$2$1.accept(ReferencePipeline.java:175) at java.util.ArrayList$ArrayListSpliterator.forEachRemaining(ArrayList.java:1374) at java.util.stream.AbstractPipeline.copyInto(AbstractPipeline.java:481) at java.util.stream.AbstractPipeline.wrapAndCopyInto(AbstractPipeline.java:471) at java.util.stream.ForEachOps$ForEachOp.evaluateSequential(ForEachOps.java:151) at java.util.stream.ForEachOps$ForEachOp$OfRef.evaluateSequential(ForEachOps.java:174) at java.util.stream.AbstractPipeline.evaluate(AbstractPipeline.java:234) at java.util.stream.ReferencePipeline.forEach(ReferencePipeline.java:418) at org.gotti.wurmunlimited.modloader.ModLoaderShared.loadModsFromModDir(ModLoaderShared.java:164) at org.gotti.wurmunlimited.serverlauncher.DelegatedLauncher.main(DelegatedLauncher.java:20) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:62) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:498) at javassist.Loader.run(Loader.java:288) at org.gotti.wurmunlimited.serverlauncher.ServerLauncher.main(ServerLauncher.java:33) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:62) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:498) at PatchedLauncher.main(PatchedLauncher.java:20) Caused by: javassist.CannotCompileException: [source error] no such class: source at javassist.CtBehavior.insertBefore(CtBehavior.java:774) at javassist.CtBehavior.insertBefore(CtBehavior.java:734) at org.gotti.wurmunlimited.mods.prospectmod.ProspectMod.preInit(ProspectMod.java:61) ... 23 more Caused by: compile error: no such class: source at javassist.compiler.MemberResolver.searchImports(MemberResolver.java:468) at javassist.compiler.MemberResolver.lookupClass(MemberResolver.java:412) at javassist.compiler.MemberResolver.lookupClassByJvmName(MemberResolver.java:319) at javassist.compiler.TypeChecker.atCallExpr(TypeChecker.java:683) at javassist.compiler.JvstTypeChecker.atCallExpr(JvstTypeChecker.java:157) at javassist.compiler.ast.CallExpr.accept(CallExpr.java:46) at javassist.compiler.TypeChecker.booleanExpr(TypeChecker.java:526) at javassist.compiler.TypeChecker.atBinExpr(TypeChecker.java:337) at javassist.compiler.ast.BinExpr.accept(BinExpr.java:41) at javassist.compiler.CodeGen.doTypeCheck(CodeGen.java:242) at javassist.compiler.CodeGen.compileBooleanExpr(CodeGen.java:236) at javassist.compiler.CodeGen.atIfStmnt(CodeGen.java:384) at javassist.compiler.CodeGen.atStmnt(CodeGen.java:355) at javassist.compiler.ast.Stmnt.accept(Stmnt.java:50) at javassist.compiler.Javac.compileStmnt(Javac.java:569) at javassist.CtBehavior.insertBefore(CtBehavior.java:754) ... 25 more

So I've recently started reading the forums more, which might be my problem. But I've noticed something that actually really turns me off to this game more than the planned destruction of Freedom servers through removal of protection rules. And it is that there is a major problem with the attitude of some of the people on these forums and ingame. Nearly everyone is deliberately rude and condescending, including the forum staff. For example, as we all know, there was a server test last week. And as we all know, it has now become some kind of meme to make fun of posting a poll about Xanadu. What exactly was the overwhelming incident that caused this disrespect toward members of the community wanting to discuss the changes in the game? Three polls being created. Three. Because three polls is so much opinion-taking that we all have to be sarcastic ######s about it. I'll tell you straight out why I made a poll - because the person who posted one first made horrible options. We all knew we know nothing about the future of the server; the fun was in the DISCUSSION. Which is, strangely enough, what forums are FOR. So what happens? Everyone who posts anything about Xanadu now gets flamed. And it's the same when anything happens that's newsworthy in Wurm. For a day, everyone is excited, and then the sarcastic ###### members of the community move in and make everyone feel bad for being excited or having a discussion. I'm quite honestly sick of the crappy community. When I started in Wurm, it seemed a lot friendlier place. Is this just the changing world we live in? No one cares about respect or decency anymore? It's exactly the same with the PVP server folks who post here. They come into the forums riding a golden horse, castrating anyone who questions their opinions. They act like they are superior players despite being devoid of morality (in that they feel the need to kill, steal, destroy, etc). They salivate at the prospect of rules being removed on Freedom so that they can go there and ruin people's lives for fun. Is it just me?

See Topic. If you're in the US or vicinity and awake, check out the moon.

I wasn't keeping track of dirt amounts, but I guarantee it was over 20k. And we easily surfacemined over 5000 slope. Probably closer to 8000, just guessing.

A few being 15. These first two are a before/after shot of the cliff face. Then we have the new intersection created by this road (used to be a 3 way, now 4). Waiting for the Oak to grow old. And here's a complete tour of the road from start to finish: And some randoms looking the other direction: Please keep in mind that I still have some safety fences to build, some lamps to plant, and some greenery to restore.

Sorry, I didn't realize Kegan had started a second poll an hour before I did....I missed it somehow. I just didn't like the first one Anyway, I wasn't saying any of this stuff is actually happening, just wanted to see what the opinions of others on the subject were. I tried to include all the speculation that's been going around.

I was dissatisfied with the other poll, so I made a new one, which I think is more concise. In no way do I mean any offense to the poster of the other thread, but I don't think his options were enough for me or most people. If I need to add more options to this poll, please let me know.

I don't think you're making this mistake, but I notice a LOT of people on the net nowadays confuse "lag" and "fps loss." FPS loss is entirely the fault of your machine (and to a much lesser extent, bad client optimization), whereas lag causes no decrease in the framerate but a noticeable delay in actions being registered. During the stress test, even at spawn, I had very little fps loss. But no matter how far I got from it, there was always lag. Sometimes it would be gone for a second or two, but it was very clearly there most of the time. Movement is deceptive in this game because it's not affected by lag, other than "Your position is not updated on the server. Please move slower." If people are judging their lag based on their ability to walk, they are getting very inaccurate results. The best way is to try to take actions on the server...right click a tile, try to forage...it was there that the lag was prevalent. Sometimes it took 3-4 seconds for the "refreshing..." animation to stop. That means a ping of 3000-4000 at times. I've heard though that this might be due to dropped packets, which is entirely possible (and a big problem which is generally hard to solve, being that it's usually the fault of some other company along the hop trail). I'm hoping this test gave them some good results and that they will conduct more, with improved results each time.

Very intelligent post, love it. More people need to think like programmers. I agree the land needs a lot more monsters, but I'm assuming that will be the case - I think they just kept it low for the test. But you're spot-on when you talk about the exponential increase in processing. However, if this server uses a different coding geometry than the current ones, it's entirely possible they've added/improved multithreading of the tile processes, which would allow them to do a lot more. Multi-threading is a b****. but for server-based games like this one, can really help.

I had pics posted but had to close that thread. I will put up a few later today.

Yes, I've been broken into before and had horses stolen. Griefers are a problem, and will become a worse problem once they hear about these rule changes (I've already heard of many people planning "war" groups on Chaos to come over and smash people's stuff as a group.) So much fun....not to mention the people whose only joy in life is making others miserable (worthless humans) who will come out and smash highways that took hundreds of hours to build..
