  1. I'd like to order: 1x plain 92ql carving knife 1x plain 92ql leather knife 2x plain 80ql carving knives Please COD to Flinty. Thanks!
  2. thankyou smiling cat, very sorry about the late receipt of the mail! You have the coin now, just grabbed the pick
  3. A lovely way of turning around a shitty situation, good job mate
  4. +1, I really hope it's back to Sage by the time I get there
  5. Let's put this one back up there Another justification would be that generally, wells have direct access to the water table at the very least... if not an underground stream or lake. With more productive wells, the daily water take-out can be as much as you can ever wish to pump out. Please oh pretty please.
  6. Wurm Meme?

Oh hahaha really? Well good job and thank you for giving me a good ol' chinflap
  7. yeah that's about what I get. Well, I guess a lot of this is serverside problems then, and yes I do live on Xanadu... so that must be part of it. Thanks everyone who responded, at least I know I'm not alone in this!
  8. I apologize if I seemed like I was "freaking out", or telling you off, please believe me that was not my intention. I simply disagree with the suggestion, and was pointing out (what I see as) it's flaws. Thanks for putting yourself out there, it's a topic that a lot of people feel strongly about, so there are bound to be heated responses. But I feel that we should always encourage discussion. I don't think telling people not to post suggestions is particularly productive. If you disagree with someone, refute their arguments, not who they are or where they play.
  9. +1, very nice idea, as long as we have the option to leave them blank too.
  10. +1, yes please! That would be lovely too... either stacked or as sliding
  11. Best way to train up ropemaking before you priest is to imp net traps, which use ropemaking skill but imp like cloth tailoring items (so cotton string, rather than wemp) - a much less resource-hungry way to grind, and a lot faster in my experience - especially when you get past the early levels. Will be doing that on my battery, as I lacked the foresight to do it on my first vynora priest
  12. yup... I love where I live but damn do they need to sort this out. Apparently BT are planning fibre in the area at some point in the next couple years but I doubt it'll do much good for me as they are only doing it to the cab - I'm so far away from it and it'll still be crappy copper line that swings in the wind! Thanks anyway... I'll just have to put up with it for the foreseeable future

Oh would you look at that, I win again!

“Certainly it constitutes bad news when the people who agree with you are buggier than batshit.†Philip K. I win.
  15. Yes, I can still play, and yes it's annoying. Unfortunately it's very often more than 2 seconds latency If a proxy can give my connection a better route to the game server than my isp can, it may reduce latency a little. This has been my experience with some shooters, when I've used a US proxy to play (living in the UK) on US servers that five priority to local connections, and had my ping reduced somewhat. Just wondering if anyone has actually done this for wurm, and whether it's helped at all? If there is no explicit rule against this I will give it a go... can't hurt to try!
  16. I live in a fairly remote rural area, where I'm at least 3km from the nearest exchange.. with a very old kind of copper line running overground all the way to our street. Suffice to say that 'slow' doesn't even begin to describe my connection! While when I moved here I was most pleasantly surprised to find I could still play wurm on my new connection, I would certainly like to do anything I can to make the experience less laggy. I was told by someone once that using a VPN set to somewhere closer to the host server can reduce latency in a videogame... Firstly I'm wondering if anyone knows if this is true, and secondly, are you allowed to connect to wurm with a VPN proxy? I would not want to be auto-banned or anything so I want to make sure it's permitted before I try. If anyone has any experience with this I would be most grateful for their advice, thanks!
  17. imped and rared-up for you at the Xanadu impalong, by any chance? tsk tsk.
  18. I quite agree, I'd use my sailing boat a lot more if I could load even one crate onto it!
  19. Everyone who get's KOS'd deserves to be? By your own logic, can't you see the possibility that the very people who like to "be an ass", are the very sort of people who might maliciously KOS other players without any real cause? This can, and does happen. I don't see anything wrong with being able to know about it beforehand... and I don't think that would detract from the ability to KOS deserving parties.. the mechanic isn't intended to be a way of luring people you don't like onto your deed so that they can die. If they know, they might avoid your deed. Isn't that the whole point? If they were online for the KOS when it happened, they will know about it anyway. +1
  20. So... you're suggesting we further enhance their ability to do this? To give them the ability to control larger, unbroken bubbles of influence.. much of which isn't even deeded? No thanks. You get all kinds of alliances, good and bad, large and small. Some of them are comprised of several deeds, and do control some areas that way, but to compare it to what you are suggesting is quite an overstatement. They only control what they have deeded, and what they are paying upkeep for, not wherever they've spammed guard towers.

    Klatu. Barada. Nikto.
  22. Newbie Rope?

As a new player, I quite enjoyed having to "scramble around" somewhat to get my basics sorted - it helped me gain some vital basic knowledge and was very immersive. I really like the idea of giving a pelt to new players, however. I think for many newbies that particular item is quite out of reach at the start, unless given to them by a kind, more experienced player. +1 to cutting sprouts with other blades
  23. I would personally love to see the farming mechanics made more immersive and realistic... especially a soil management system! However, I don't think simply adding mechanics to increase farming yields would be wise... it is already too easy to produce huge amounts of produce for very little effort. I feel that a drastic reduction in base yields (and quality of produce) would need to be implemented to make anything like this relevant. didn't select and option, as none of them really covered what I said above. +1000 on having a way of increasing fruit tree harvests, though! One apple from a tree once every wurm year... come on I want cider and I don't want to have to plant a forest to make it!
  24. Wurm Meme?

Excellent!! Looks just like current-day North Xanadu
