  4. I've started a fresh alt on Xanadu when it opened and wandered a lot looking for a best spot. Then built the basic infrastructure, searched for the mining resources etc. Loved it. Did the same on am untouched WU server. Loved it again. We are all different
  5. Remembering my newbie times it was a great thing to see "elder" people riding carts. It was a really great incentive and decision point to prem myself up. I could carve away for much longer working on skills below 20 skill before premming up but I wanted the BIG difference of hauling things around - and the extra safety in fights. So 1- from me

    ...and in a 80ql chain set wielding a 80ql weapon even with 20FS you are really competitive with the typical wildlife. Those are easily affordable after a few hours forage session if nothing else.

    I did not receive the event message at all lat Saturday on Deli, not when mail arrived and not upon restart. Yesterday on Xana the message was shown right after i logged in. So it seems sporadic to have silent mails.

    Plate is a pain with low body strength anyway. A bit early there with the movement penalty and the overall weight. Why not wear a good studded or chain for everyday work and keep the plate for your hunting trips? Even now with 50+strength I won't wear my plate all the time. And yes I've built my first ships with very low characterising and mast and keels you can hold. Yes need manage your inventory weight but whats wrong with that?
  12. Movement still not working on a knarr - on Xanadu after sailing 3-4 map grids I get the please stand still errors. Disembarking the knarr I seem to be at a different location, after /lotime logoff I'm next tot he knarr again and can embarka and sail. On Independence and Xanadu still experiencing the kick from ship after moor raised.

    I've been sailing on Deli yesterday with constant no-sync messages. Could not enter mine door until I disembarked the ship when the position got updated instantly.
  14. I have never had rolls creating items like horseshoes from rare materials. Have the rolls though when adding to multi part items.

    if the felled tree is too heavy for you, cut a log from it and will fit - also will be big enough to make a mast or keel section.
  16. My Biggest Valrei mission failure was to cut down a specific tree - been cutting clear of the specified type all around the place for hours mentioned without success. I had a similar one like Dairuka - but with medium woodens shields, the rare one is still in use by one of our alts
  17. I don't really see how business is so bad in Wurm. I'm a crafter myself - won't go lower than a price I set, I decide if the time spent to make / imp the items worth it to me. Anyway, will never ever been able to earn any money comparable to a a RL job, and it is not a goal anyway. I like to be able to fulfill some demand, I like to be able to pay the upkeeps and the fancy items I might want from the WTS threads but making a living of Wurm? Sounds mad to me. On the other hand the new mail fees and the plotting system definitely kicked my workload and the demand on my services up.

  24. -1 can't balance out currently existing items. Better way is new uses for the metals, first good steps are like dioptras, god colossi and ballistas. For example what about tin foil hats as spell protection?
  25. Who spends a second without a pick in inventory? How do you chop your food? How do you pick your teeth? How do you pen your barrels? Trust me ill be mad enough to live underground even with the risk of collapses
